From that mont on, everything changed.
Xu Yin let the curtain fall.
He closed his eyes, silently listening to the sound of the cartwheels. When he opened his eyes again, the cartwheels had stopped.
The residence where he once lived looked exactly the sa as before.
Since the marriage agreent with Yongping, he had purchased his own house and had never returned here.
However, Xu Yin was quite aware of its subsequent history; after he moved out, the Liang Family reclaid the residence.
As the Liang Family did not lack places to live, this house was locked up again, never to be used.
"Open the door."
The guard climbed over the wall and opened the door.
Xu Yin stepped through the door, surveying the courtyard.
It was a two-courtyard residence, larger than the usual ones. In the front yard stood a decorative screen wall, with flowers and trees planted at the four corners. There was a well in the corner, and under a large plum tree beside it, there was a set of stone tables and chairs.
Behind the plum tree was a moon gate, crossing it led to the kitchen.
Xu Yin sat down on a chair, lifted a tray covered with thick dust on the table, and uncovered a teacup, its color long faded.
"Have them wash it and boil a pot of water. There’s wood, a stove, and an earthenware pot in the kitchen."
Since he left and the residence hadn’t been used, all these utensils should still be here.
Soon enough, the guard set up the stove and started a fire to boil water.
The remaining guard stepped forward: "Master! If we don’t act soon, it will be too late..."
It was a matter of life and death now; what they should be doing was quickly coming up with a plan to retreat, not sitting here boiling water and brewing tea!

Revealed in the gap ford by the retreating guards, a figure appeared.
Though possessing unparalleled beauty, her face was cold; though her fra was delicate, she carried a long sword, exuding a faint, murderous aura.
"...Fu Zhen?!"
Xu Yin’s facial muscles twitched, his back stiffened.
Fu Zhen, carrying her sword, stepped across the threshold, her gaze fixed straight on him. "I would have never guessed Vice Minister Xu was so nostalgic!"
"How did you know I was here?"
Xu Yin asked, standing up.
He had never seen Fu Zhen like this and had never imagined she could appear this way, but at this mont, a wave of terror involuntarily surged from the depths of his heart! The shadow before him instantly overlapped with the one in the depths of his mind!
"I thought with your cunning mind, you would have realized that the ease with which you left the palace was us intentionally letting you go!"
Xu Yin pressed his lips together.
The guards exchanged glances, shouted "Kill!" and then raised their swords to surround Fu Zhen!
However, at the sa ti, the long sword on Fu Zhen’s shoulder had already touched the ground, and just as it was about to land, she had already leapt into the air!
