Even though she didn’t sleep the whole night, Ye Ling didn’t feel tired at all. She lay still on the bed, fearing she might wake Grandma, and only sat up gently when she heard Grandma’s snores.

Suddenly, she was alive again, after a night of contemplation on the train yesterday. She slowly began to accept it, and now that she’s ho, her heart is settled. Yet, Ye Ling found herself slightly unaccustod to such peace.

According to her previous life, the family was quite unhappy because she threw her clothes on the floor, unlike now. Although she couldn’t match Ye Qian, at least she wasn’t overshadowed.

Wearing slippers, Ye Ling got out of bed and stood by the window. The Ye Family lived in the first building as one enters the compound, and being on the first floor, she could see people coming in and out of the gate from her spot.

Actually, Ye Ling didn’t know many people in the compound. Because after she got married in her past life, not long after, Mr. Ye also had a job transfer. Originally, they wanted to curry favor with the boss by marrying her off to a rural divorcé, yet the transfer happened anyway. Ye Ling found it quite laughable; they went through all that trouble and even sacrificed their daughter for nothing.

They say Ye Ling died lonely in her past life with no family around, but in a way, her father’s job transfer was also a form of revenge against her.

Now, looking clearly and thinking further, Ye Ling felt that no one was wrong in her past life. The path was chosen by herself, and however it ended couldn’t be blad on anyone else. Ye Qian would always be the spotlighted protagonist while she was just a supporting role.

Now that everything is sorted, since she’s the supporting role, she naturally won’t compete. Competing with the protagonist will only make her worse off; this she understands.

Thinking about things in her heart, her eyes gazed at the compound’s gate, while her mother’s and Ye Qian’s conversation from the living room lightly drifted into her ears. Ye Ling hadn’t ant to eavesdrop, yet she heard it clearly.

"Mom, what should we have for dinner? Grandma and sis are back, let’s stew so at," Ye Qian’s voice was sweet and pleasing to hear.

Ye Ling sneered.

See, that’s Ye Qian; she always appears so kind and gentle in front of everyone.

"Don’t worry, I’ve taken the at out to thaw. We’ll make braised pork tonight, and prepare so tofu stewed with cabbage. Don’t you love eggs? I’ll fry so eggs for you; your dance teacher also told to give you more eggs to prevent calcium deficiency and ensure your legs grow straight." Ye’s mother treasured her sensible daughter and naturally spared no expense for her.

"Mom, what ti for dinner then? And sister too, it’s not good for Grandma and sis to see it if you only prepare for ; it might upset sis too."

"You’re such a kind child, thinking so much. If only your sister were as sensible as you, I would be at ease." Ye’s mother sighed thinking of her elder daughter.

Despite just having been together for a short while, she already felt sowhat intolerant, yet she couldn’t ignore her daughter.

Ye Qian cuddled into Ye’s mother’s arms, "We are both good daughters of mom. Sis just returned ho and isn’t accustod yet; don’t worry, mom."

"You, you," Ye’s mother smiled widely at her daughter being affectionate.

Tily, Ye Ling pushed open the door and erged, gazing blandly at the mother and daughter embracing on the couch. It was Ye’s mother who seed slightly tense, causing Ye Ling to secretly feel pleased; she did it on purpose.

Yes, she pretended to know nothing, then walked in, and if mother’s heart wasn’t that cold, she’d surely be embarrassed being caught.

Ye Ling realized her behavior might be childish, but seeing her mom’s startled expression, and the embarrassnt from talking behind one’s back getting caught, she couldn’t help but feel pleased. Her lips unknowingly curled into a smile, and even Ye Qian who jumped off her mother’s lap and ran over to Ye Ling didn’t seem so annoying.

"Sis, aren’t you sleeping now? Why don’t I take you out to play?" Ye Qian looked at Ye Ling eagerly, like a puppy waiting for its owner’s praise.

This deanor certainly couldn’t move Ye Ling, but at this mont she was quite happy. Besides, she wanted to see those people who bullied and excluded her in her past life; even if they’re enemies, living another life, she should et them.
