Ye Ling didn’t make a sound, just listened quietly. When Shen Chun stopped speaking, she also remained silent. In the dim light, when Shen Bin returned, he saw his sister cautiously observing Ye Ling across from her, while his young wife also said nothing, just sat there quietly, exuding an inexplicable eeriness.
Seeing Shen Bin return, Shen Chun looked as if she’d seen a savior, quickly stood up, and cheerfully called out, "Brother."

Ye Ling knew that even if she did nothing, just Shen Chun’s glance could make people think too much, feeling that she had done sothing. And what about not wanting to trouble Shen Bin, yet here she was causing trouble?

This was Shen Bin’s sister and family matter, and Ye Ling felt that it wasn’t appropriate for her to get involved given her status. Rembering Shen Bin’s previous glance at her, Ye Ling felt a stifling sensation in her chest and didn’t want to say anything more.
Seeing his young wife not saying a word, Shen Bin grew worried, calling out, "Ye Ling, co with to see what to eat?"

Although she knew Shen Bin wanted a chance to speak to her alone or explain sothing, Ye Ling was in no mood to talk, deciding to wait until she cald down. They definitely needed to talk later. Just from a casual remark about earlier, Shen Bin had glared at her. Why? This was just the beginning, and she had to endure such unwarranted frustration. She couldn’t tolerate these days a single day longer.
In her past life, she felt she owed Shen Bin, but not in this life. She wanted a good life with Shen Bin, but if Shen Bin didn’t want that, she saw no need to wrong herself.
Seeing his young wife’s stubborn temper flare up again, Shen Bin said no more, nodded at his sister, then turned and left. Ye Ling didn’t look at him and didn’t want to speak to Shen Chun, so she pretended to tidy up the bedding, though there was nothing to tidy except a covered blanket.
"Sister-in-law, are you upset with ?" Shen Chun asked cautiously.
Ye Ling looked at her. Being directly addressed ant she had to speak. She looked at Shen Chun for a long ti, then nodded, "Yes, I am upset with you. I don’t understand why saying such a common thing scared you so much. Or are you particularly afraid of ? This is only our third eting, and I’ve done nothing to make you fear , right?"
Seeing her about to cry, Ye Ling waved impatiently, "Forget it, let’s not talk about it. Otherwise, when your brother returns, he might think I’m bullying you."
"Sister-in-law, I’m sorry, I’m just timid, afraid you would bla Brother for coming. So when you questioned , I couldn’t help but fear. I won’t do this again, and I’ll explain everything to Brother." Shen Chun said, with tears the size of beans falling.
Ye Ling simply remained silent. She didn’t believe that if she said nothing, Shen Chun would continue to cry. And if Shen Chun was truly doing this for the sake of their marriage, she should know that crying would only stir discord between them. So Ye Ling also wanted to see if Shen Chun was doing this unintentionally or deliberately.
The person across didn’t make a sound, leaving Ye Ling unsure if she felt disappointed or sothing else. Then thinking again, she felt it might be her own suspicious nature, trying not to dislike Shen Chun’s personality too much. After all, not everyone can be liked by everyone.
Shen Bin ca back with three green lunch boxes, which the train provided for packed als, with a deposit to return the boxes after eating.
Inside were rice and two dishes—not bad for train food. Ye Ling took the box and began to eat. She heard Shen Chun whisper to Shen Bin, "Brother, I’ll go eat on my side; it’s so late, I’ll sleep right after eating, so I don’t disturb others’ rest."
"Eat here, after we’re done, I’ll return the lunch boxes." Shen Bin made the decision with one sentence.
Then Ye Ling felt her bed dip to one side, knowing Shen Bin sat down. Other than eating sounds, there was no other movent. Ye Ling ate slowly, accustod to chewing each bite at least twenty tis before swallowing, which helped prevent stomach discomfort and filled her up even when eating less.
Doing so ant she left half her box uneaten, while Shen Bin had finished his already. Seeing Ye Ling with leftovers, he said nothing, just took it and polished it off.
Shen Chun watched with a smile, "At ho, my brother used to do this, eating what I left."
Ye Ling couldn’t tell if Shen Chun ant to praise Shen Bin’s long-standing habit or imply sothing about Shen Bin eating her leftovers. Not wanting her suspicions to harm soone, Ye Ling decided to stay silent.
Shen Bin’s movents paused briefly but resud quickly.
