"During the New Year, do you want to argue with ?" Ye He Ping lit a cigarette, "So what if she gets into trouble? She’s still studying well at school. If you don’t care, it’s fine, but don’t complain about standing up for our daughter. According to you, I shouldn’t intervene if Ye Qian has troubles either, right?"
Bai Xue’s face turned dark with frustration from his words, "Stop being unreasonable. These are two separate issues."
"And what if not? Just keep Ye Ling from going to school, have her stay ho all day?" Ye He Ping thought his wife’s logic was flawed, "I’ve said before, don’t worry about Ye Ling, just keep it in mind, you might as well pretend you never had this daughter. Her situation doesn’t concern you."

She deserves to be deceived." Unable to argue with her husband, Bai Xue shifted her frustration onto their eldest daughter.
"What’s wrong with her? I’ve never seen a mother look down on her own daughter like this. It’s New Year’s, and I won’t argue with you. Anyhow, Ye Ling is not for you to criticise. No matter her flaws, she’s my daughter. You may disregard her, but I cherish her. Today is New Year’s, I won’t argue with you to avoid worrying the kids." Ye He Ping lowered his voice and scolded his wife, picked up his book, went to the East Room, and slamd the door hard.
The noise was loud enough to be heard in the West Room, and Song i’s expression changed, "I think your dad and mom seem unhappy. Are they arguing?"
Though what Ye Family’s couple was saying wasn’t audible, it was clear they were fighting.
Ye Qian shook her head, forcing a bitter smile, "It’s nothing. Since my sister returned, my family has been like this. I’m used to it by now, though it’s a bit embarrassing for you to see."
Song i opened her mouth, stood up, "Ye Qian, I’ll head ho now. It’s New Year’s; I can’t stay at your place all day. I’ll co to see you tomorrow."
Given the turmoil at Ye family, Song i couldn’t stay any longer.
Ye Qian nodded, got up to escort Song i out, seeing her mother sitting alone enraged in the living room, went over and held her mother’s hand, "Mom, I noticed your wrinkles are increasing. You need to laugh more."
Normally Bai Xue would smile to comfort her little daughter, but not today. "Ye Qian, keep your distance from Ye Ling, don’t pick up her bad habits."
