A row of bookshelves towering over two people, Ye Ling didn’t want to bump into Song i and the others. Seeing them on the south side, she went to the north, as there were plenty of books and no need to compete with them. Zhao Guodong wasn’t into reading and purely ca along for fun. Ye Ling got absorbed in her reading, unknowingly standing there with a book she liked. Zhao Guodong initially stood around, but eventually wandered off on his own, ending up on the other side where he saw Song i. Just as he was about to turn around and leave, Song i called out to him.
"Zhao Guodong."
Zhao Guodong stopped, turned to look at her, "What’s up?"
Seeing the unfriendly look in his eyes, Song i felt stifled but forced a smile, "Are you busy at the university? Many people at our school envy you guys for getting into college. You’ll be graduating in a little over two years, will the school assign you, or can you choose where to go? Are you coming back to this area?"
Zhao Guodong looked at Song i in surprise, unable to figure out her intentions, he beca impatient, "If you have sothing to say, just say it. Stop beating around the bush."
"I just haven’t seen you for six months, wanted to see how you’re doing. Last ti you ca back, you didn’t say much. After all, we grew up in the sa community." Whenever Song i saw him, she did nothing but argue, and now hearing even Zhang Linong say she liked him was shocking. Wang Ping might not be believable, but Zhang Linong couldn’t be lying. It was so unbelievable, it felt absurd.
"Sotis a girl, to attract a boy, will argue with him hoping to get his attention. Have you noticed over the years how Song i has always been at odds with you?" Zhang Linong analyzed, "Now that you’re in college and apart for a long ti, I think Song i realized her old ways didn’t work, so she’s trying sothing new."
Zhao Guodong scratched his head, "Forget it, whatever she thinks, I don’t like her anyway."
Zhang Linong just smirked and didn’t say more. Wang Ping laughed slyly, "Who would’ve thought, that shrew actually likes you. I’m telling you, don’t go for a girl like her, or you’ll be arguing every day."
"Stop it, when did I say I’d marry her? I don’t like her at all." Zhao Guodong glared at Wang Ping, scanned around, seeing Ye Ling wasn’t nearby, then warned, "Don’t gossip about this, if others find out, I’ll deal with you."
Wang Ping didn’t take Zhao Guodong’s words seriously at all, and behind another shelf, Song i’s face was white as she bit her lip. Jiang Yan tugged her hand, pulling her out of the library. Outside, Song i’s tears finally fell.
"Now you’ve heard his words, you should give up. That guy is just dense, doesn’t get anything." Jiang Yan consoled, "Don’t be sad for soone like that, it’s not worth it."
Song i shook her head, "He wasn’t so against before, only after Ye Ling ca he began to hate . It’s all Ye Ling’s fault, but don’t worry, I know what to do now."

I just hope to apologize, so I can feel better."
Ye Ling nodded, concealing her surprise, "I understand."
Though she didn’t say more, it was clear she wasn’t inviting further conversation.
Song i wasn’t discouraged by Ye Ling’s coldness, nodding with a smile, "Okay, we won’t disturb your reading. Can we visit you at ho when you’re free?"
"I have to take care of my dad, no ti to hang out." Ye Ling refused outright.
