Azure’s face turned a shade of embarrassnt, her gaze unsure of where to land, so she just looked down at her own toes.

Honestly, the innocent confusion she demonstrated in person was worlds apart from what she actually did.

When Henry noticed her awkwardness, I wasn’t sure if he was trying to annoy or genuinely felt sorry for her, as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder in front of all of us, silently giving her support.

"Henry!" Dylan’s voice suddenly grew displeased.

"Dylan, you seem even more handso than before!" I interrupted Dylan, wrapping my hand around his arm, loudly complinting him.

Standing at the front of the elevator, Leah kept pressing the close button hard, and under Henry’s death glare, the elevator door closed, separating us.

Isn’t it just to annoy? I’m the best at it.

Once the elevator door closed, I let go of Dylan’s arm, slightly embarrassed, "Sorry, I borrowed your arm for a mont."

Crystal spoke up, "What’s there to be sorry about? He’s probably over the moon with joy inside, right?"

Crystal grinned widely, and the two sisters exchanged a knowing look.

"Indeed, I’m more than happy," Dylan spoke half-seriously, half-jokingly, "Count in for such nice things in the future."

"Dylan, you’re getting funnier," I could only respond helplessly.

Dylan just laughed without saying anything, and after the elevator door opened, we left the hotel and headed to a nearby KTV.

Singing when told to, loudly, I unleashed all the frustration inside through the songs. Although I studied instruntal music, my voice was decent enough, if not exceptional.

Tiana ntioned she had previously held team-building activities here with her employees and had a card with two cases of liquor stored, so she ordered a case for us to drink.

"Co on, Zoe, sing this one with my brother!" Crystal suddenly shoved the microphone at Dylan and then spoke to .

I glanced at the screen, "Marry Today."

"Uh... okay." Having had so drinks, I didn’t think much of it.

Halfway through the song, I noticed Crystal answering a call on my phone. I couldn’t hear what she said, just a couple of words before she hung up.

Unlike my casual approach, Dylan’s part had no technique, only emotion. Occasionally he would look at , his eyes bright and lively.

I could only pretend not to see.

Finally, once the song was over, Crystal handed back the phone, whispering in my ear, "Henry just called. I answered and told him you’re singing a love song duet with my brother and too busy to talk."

"..." I surrendered, this girl was truly restless, always giving things to do.

Sure enough, within minutes, Henry called again. Having nothing to say to him, I simply hung up.

For so peace and quiet, I turned off my phone and continued eating, drinking, and playing until I returned ho at midnight, slightly drunk.

Lane, ever responsible, helped into the living room before heading back. I felt a bit dizzy, making my way upstairs. Upon opening the bedroom door, the sll of smoke made cough.

The balcony door was open, allowing cold wind mixed with cigarette smoke to drift inside. Henry was standing on the balcony, his back to the room.

"Why are you smoking in my room?" I walked over and opened the window as well, slightly displeased.

Henry turned to look at , his eyes indecipherable.

I wasn’t sure what he was up to. If he planned to question about spending the day with Dylan, I felt he had no right. After all, wasn’t he with Azure as well?

If he liked smoking there, so be it. I busied myself sorting out my nightgown and went to the bathroom to shower.

The sll of alcohol on was unbearable, yet I wasn’t drunk enough to be unconscious. I couldn’t sleep without a shower.

For speed, I didn’t soak in the tub but quickly rinsed under the shower, dried myself casually, put on a nightgown, and planned to sleep.

Henry was still on the balcony, on a call. As I returned, he hung up upon hearing my footsteps.

I ignored him, climbed into bed, and closed my eyes to sleep.

"Why didn’t Dylan bring you back?" Henry was suddenly by the bedside, his voice lacking emotion.

"Why didn’t you sleep over at Azure’s?" I retorted, eyes closed, not opening them.

After a brief silence, he spoke again, "I never slept with her."

That made open my eyes. Henry looked down at , his beautiful, expressive eyes always cold towards . Crystal and the others once analyzed this, concluding: those eyes seed romantic to everyone but Zoe.

Genuinely surprised, I asked, "Why? Hasn’t she accepted you yet? From what I know, she broke up with Joel Sutton, actively seeks your help with various things, and is willing to go out with you — yet you haven’t been intimate with her?"

"..." Henry’s expression shifted slightly.

"But I get it. She’s different from other won," I reasoned, "You need to respect her, I understand."

Henry’s face darkened, "What do you know, you self-righteous fool."

It’s not that I’m self-righteous; Henry hasn’t realized his feelings yet. But that’s between him and Azure, and having seen this plot from an omniscient point of view, I didn’t want to spoil too much.

I turned over, lazily muttering, "Henry, I told you, if you don’t divorce now, there will co a day when you’ll wish I disappear from your world imdiately, only by then I might refuse to divorce and demand a large sum, driving you crazy."

The next second, I felt a breath teasing my nose. Upon opening my eyes, I found Henry sitting on the bedside, leaning close, less than a centiter between us, our breaths mingling.

There was no anger or coldness in his eyes; instead, there was a compelling smile, "Really?"

"When..." I started, but before I could finish, my lips were sealed.

Already weakened by alcohol, when I tried raising my hand to push him away, I ended up restrained, unable to move.

Henry was never gentle. Feeling struggle ignited him further, suppressing completely.

Dizzy from the kiss, I ca to my senses when Henry finally let go, but imdiately slapped him across the face, albeit weakly from lack of strength, making the slap soft.

"Not full yet?" Henry found it amusing.

"Henry, if your lust is overwhelming, go find Azure, don’t tornt , okay?" I truly couldn’t fathom what he was thinking.

I didn’t want to withdraw from one emotion only to sink into the mire of lust.

With such matters, encountering an expert could beco an easy addiction.

Henry was such an expert, and I refused to be his defeated conquest.
