"Sorry, I didn’t an to interrupt your good ti, but I had to find Mr. Preston." I glanced at Rosalind Sutton and spoke with a touch of apology.

Rosalind Sutton snorted and simply lay back on the sofa, not bothering to hide her fiery figure.

Henry Preston casually straightened his collar, "I’m busy, if there’s anything you need, you can call ."

"Your phone has been off all afternoon!" I frowned, "It won’t take much of your ti, just a bit of business talk."

"If I rember correctly, shortly after you and I got divorced, so of the business dealings between our families stopped. What else is there to talk about?" Henry Preston sat back on the sofa and lit a cigarette.

Rosalind Sutton sat up and widened her eyes at , "You’re his ex-wife? No wonder you look a bit familiar, but I didn’t rember."

As ti passed, many people forgot about the not-so-active .

It’s normal not to recognize .

"Ms. Sutton, I have sothing to discuss with him privately, could you please excuse us?" I politely inquired.

Rosalind Sutton looked at Henry Preston, then at , and lay back on the sofa with an indifferent attitude, "Go ahead and talk, I haven’t been sleeping well lately, so I’ll take a nap here. Don’t worry, I can’t hear anything once I’m asleep."

She didn’t see as anything, just an ex-wife, wanting her to leave was a dream.

Henry Preston said nothing, just smoked, occasionally glancing at with a gaze that was hard to decipher.

Rosalind Sutton suddenly lifted her beautiful legs, intentionally placing them on Henry Preston’s lap, murmuring, "I’m exhausted, Mr. Preston, give them a little massage!"

Henry Preston glanced down at those slender, fair legs, then casually stubbed out his cigarette and naturally massaged Rosalind Sutton’s calves.

"Mr. Preston is such a good man, it’s a pity he’s not my boyfriend." Rosalind Sutton laughed after she spoke, her laughter sounding as clear as silver bells.

It was as if I were invisible to the two of them.

Given my temperant, I should have turned and left, but thinking of my mom’s hard work, I felt helpless and sorrowful.

If I can persuade Henry Preston, then Young Mr. Levin might relent, and my company’s biggest crisis could be resolved.

I had to admit The Preston Group’s strength; if Henry Preston were to target my family, things would get ugly next.

"Henry, I just need ten minutes of your ti." I adjusted my mindset, trying to keep calm, and spoke very gently.

"He already said he’s busy. What’s wrong with you? You’re the ex-wife, why keep pestering him?" Rosalind Sutton retorted angrily, "I’ve heard you chased after Henry for five years before marrying him, guess it’s true, you’re so persistent."

Henry Preston’s hands stopped, his expression turning cold.

I responded calmly, "I told you I have business matters to discuss with him."

"He doesn’t want to talk to you, can’t you see? He made it clear!" Rosalind Sutton was full of frustration, as I had interrupted her intimate mont with Henry.

Rosalind Sutton thought too highly of herself. I was well aware that Henry had no genuine feelings for her, I’d seen too many won like her before.

I just looked at Henry, hoping he’d have a change of heart.

The catastrophic family feud from the past didn’t need to repeat itself.

"You go back first." Henry Preston finally spoke again, his eyes fixed on .

"Didn’t you hear him? He told you to leave." Rosalind Sutton’s face showed a victorious smile, she even made a peace sign at .

Henry Preston pushed her legs away, his voice cold, "I told you to go back first."

Rosalind Sutton’s smile froze in disbelief as she stared at Henry, "Are you serious?! You’re telling to leave?"

"Don’t make waste my breath, leave Preston Tower imdiately!" Henry Preston impatiently issued the order.

Rosalind Sutton’s face showed indignation and dissatisfaction, but facing Henry’s impatience, she dared not maintain her previous bratty attitude, knowing full well she couldn’t afford to provoke him.

Only when Henry was patient with her could she act spoiled or throw a tantrum.

"Fine, fine!" Rosalind Sutton, her face flushed with anger, quickly put on her coat and marched towards the door.

As she passed by , she intentionally bumped my shoulder, catching off guard and nearly knocking down.

Henry Preston imdiately stood up, taking a few steps to help , but I stepped back to avoid him.

His eyes darkened, the anxious expression on his face disappeared, replaced by a cold and indifferent look.

"What do you want to discuss with ? Just say it." He returned to the sofa, crossing his legs with an air of indifference.

I walked over and sat across from him. It was the first ti since our divorce that we sat down face-to-face to chat.

The office lights were bright, allowing every subtle expression on Henry’s face to be seen; there was no warmth in his expression now.

"Are you familiar with Sanctum Biotech?" I asked.

"Not familiar." Henry replied quickly, without hesitation.

"You don’t know Morgan Levin?" My brow furrowed quickly; was Henry lying to ?

Henry fiddled with a lighter, calmly saying, "I know him, but not well."

"He’s the current president of Sanctum Biotech, which is the largest supplier of raw materials for my company. Recently, they suddenly proposed to terminate the contract and stop supplying us." I simply stated the situation, watching Henry’s reaction.

Henry’s expression didn’t change, as if he were listening to a story completely unrelated to him.

I had to be direct, "After terminating the contract with my company, they will cooperate with Astral Company. Does this have anything to do with you?"

After I finished speaking, Henry looked at with a deep, complex gaze for a while until I felt the atmosphere solidify, and I was about to speak to break the silence when he finally spoke, "Zoe Hathaway, do you suspect of deliberately targeting your family?"

"Isn’t it true?" I blurted out.

The Levin family father and son told it was related to Henry.

Henry sneered, "In your heart, I’m really the most despicable person, capable of doing anything vile."

Isn’t that true? I wanted to speak candidly, but I held back.

Henry was clearly angered by my previous remark because I questioned his character.

"With your family’s strength, you shouldn’t lose to Astral Company. Isn’t your dad helping?" Henry suddenly brought up my dad.

"He can’t interfere in business matters, it’s too risky. He’s about to retire, there’s no need." I answered honestly.

Henry curled his lips, "You really have principles."
