I was stunned for a second because I thought the matter with my dad was completely resolved. I had wondered if there were still photos with Henry. Were the ones he gave really all?
Unexpectedly, my wild speculations turned out to be true. He’s soone as soon as he can use people or things, he will keep a card up his sleeve.
I thought he helped before because he had developed feelings for , hoping to go in a good direction. I even wavered a bit, but now I find it was really a joke.
He can always threaten , using people I care about to threaten .
"Henry, you really surprise ." After a long ti, I finally parted my lips and said this, the look in my eyes was only disappointnt.

"No need for you to deal with it. I’ll handle it myself." I gave a cold smile, turning and walking away without looking back.
At the mont I turned, tears burst out uncontrollably from the extre grievance. I felt like such a fool; how did I believe in this life Henry ever had feelings for ? Just because we had been intimate a few tis, just because he did a little bit for , said things I hadn’t heard before, I forgot the pain of the last life.
Forgetting the pain once healed, if possible, I wish I could slap myself, as a punishnt for my stupidity.

Henry ntioning a month’s ti sounds short, but it’s very long to . I am imrsed in the pain of losing a child, in the anxiety that I might not be able to get pregnant again, and almost in a state of depression.
Crystal and the others often invite out, trying to help relax a bit.

But I didn’t want to tell her about Henry’s threat for fear of disturbing her pregnancy.
I just took a sip of wine, smiling carefreely, "I told you, waiting for a better opportunity."
"Is there a better opportunity?" Leah asked.
"Yes," I nodded.
The three of them exchanged glances, not daring to say much about my decision. They were afraid I wouldn’t be able to handle it given my current condition.
I actually have pretty good psychological endurance. Having gone through what I did in the past life, I’m not so impulsive in the face of storms.
