Crystal Dawson and Leah Lane’s two-day trip was unexpectedly extended.

Every day, apart from going to work, I would discuss recipes with Leah, trying to ensure the baby in Crystal’s belly gets enough nutrition.

The Dawson family, naturally, was in an uproar. One call after another ca in, asking who the father of Crystal’s child was, but she wouldn’t say until Silas Lockwood provided an answer.

I kept the secret for her, even when Dylan Dawson asked , I kept my lips sealed.

"Suddenly, I really feel like eating Hainanese chicken rice," Crystal said, rubbing her belly.

Leah, who was stewing duck in the kitchen, popped out and asked, "Won’t duck do?"

"I still want Hainanese chicken rice." Crystal lay on the sofa like she was paralyzed, not moving.

Her pregnancy reactions were getting worse these days, and her cravings were becoming unpredictable.

Sotis she couldn’t eat, sotis her tastes were really particular.

I grabbed the car keys, "Wait for , I’ll go get you a serving."

"Zoe, you’re so sweet, mwah!" Crystal’s eyes lit up imdiately.

It was raining lightly outside, but I drove off without hesitation to the restaurant we last visited, where the Hainanese chicken rice was the most authentic.

It was dinner ti by then, and the restaurant was crowded. I ordered Hainanese chicken rice and so other food, asked for it to be packed, and then found a seat by the door to wait.

Henry Preston entered just as I was looking down at my phone; I looked up at the sound of the door and was stunned.

He wore a grayish-white suit with a black sweater underneath. The suit was custom-made and very flattering, with perfect lines and proportions. Worn by him, it exuded gentlemanly elegance and noble aura. His jet-black short hair was styled in a suave manner, with so strands falling at his brows, complenting his impeccable features, making him incredibly handso.

As soon as he entered, there was a chorus of excited gasps from several girls in the restaurant.

Handso people are the center of attention wherever they go, I have to admit.

Henry also noticed , his eyes flashed with surprise, and then settled down.

The waiter ca up to him, and Henry ordered two servings of Hainanese chicken rice and so desserts in fluent English, asking for them to be packed.

Is Azure craving Hainanese chicken rice too? I wondered, but kept my expression neutral and continued to look at my phone.

We were already divorced, his affairs were none of my business.

Yet, for so reason, Henry decided to stride over and sit at the seat next to .

I felt uncomfortable, wanting to get up and change seats, but that would make seem weak.

If he isn’t awkward, why should I be?

"Is Crystal Dawson with you?" Henry broke the awkward silence first.

"What’s it to you?" I replied indifferently.

Henry seed to chuckle, "She certainly has nothing to do with , considering the child isn’t mine."

I glared at him, then why the heck are you asking?

Henry checked his watch and then asked, "Can you ask Crystal to co out?"

"Since she has nothing to do with you, why do you need her out?" I sneered, "Aren’t you afraid Azure will find out and get angry with you?"

At the ntion of Azure, Henry’s expression turned slightly chilly but soon returned to normal.

He explained, "Silas Lockwood asked to find out where Crystal is; his flight landed this afternoon and he should be arriving soon."

This was peculiar, "Why is Silas coming over? Is he here to negotiate with Crystal? That kind of playboy is just a scoundrel who can’t take responsibility!"

"..." Henry’s face darkened, "How is he not responsible?"

"Crystal’s pregnant, and Silas hasn’t shown up at all these past few days. Who knows which beauty’s arms he’s lanting in? Henry, among you guys, besides Ivan Underwood, there’s no decent person. Honestly, I’m worried about how long Azure can keep you in check; how loyal can you be to her once the passion fades?" I voiced my genuine doubt.

I had thought about this before; in my previous life, I died early and didn’t see how Henry and Azure’s life was after marriage. Maybe they got tired of each other within a few years?

My words made Henry’s face turn completely black.

"Is Ivan that special to you?" he asked in an unfriendly tone.

"Isn’t it special enough that he remains untainted among you playboys?" I found it strange. How could Henry still ask that, considering it was an obvious fact?

Henry smirked coldly, looking at with icy eyes, then he shifted his gaze away.

After a while, my Hainanese chicken rice was ready for takeaway, and I left the restaurant, driving back. To my surprise, Henry followed right behind .

I had no choice but to pull over, and Henry did the sa.

"Why are you following ?" I was slightly annoyed, "Have you turned into a stalker now?"

"Our directions just happen to be the sa," Henry said from inside his car, looking sideways at .

"What, is your love nest with Azure located next to my place?" I asked irritably.

Henry frowned, "I’m not living with her."

I was taken aback, "Not living together? Then what are you doing here? Wasn’t it you who helped her go abroad for her studies?"

Henry replied calmly, "I helped her, but that doesn’t an we have to live together. Is that a problem?"

"No problem, we are divorced, I certainly can’t ddle in your affairs. Whether you sponsor her to study abroad, live together, or even marry her, that’s none of my business," I suddenly felt irritated, so after ranting a bit I got back into my car and continued driving ho.

When I reached a crossroad just before ho, Henry’s car finally stopped following , and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Back ho, I placed the food box on the table; Crystal had already leaned over, seemingly very fond of the aroma of the Hainanese chicken rice, taking a big sniff, but as soon as she took a bite, she gagged.

Leah patted her back, "Oh, poor Crystal."

I was just about to tell Crystal about the encounter with Henry when we heard a noise coming from the balcony. I turned to look, and a drone flew in with a packing bag hanging underneath.

What the heck?! I was startled.

Leah and Crystal exchanged bewildered glances, and while we were still in shock, Silas Lockwood’s voice ca from the drone, "Tiger Mom, go check out the balcony!"

Crystal was both amused and angry at the term "Tiger Mom," and was about to dismantle the drone with her bare hands, but I stopped her, taking down the bag instead, which indeed contained two servings of Hainanese chicken rice.

Could it be the two servings Henry bought?

I couldn’t help asking, "Crystal, did you tell Silas you wanted to eat Hainanese chicken rice?"

"Yes," Crystal’s anger was at its peak, "but I never thought he’d just send two boxes of rice!! Damn!!!"

Frankly, neither Leah nor I expected it either. Could Silas Lockwood, such a playboy, really be this unromantic?
