Mr. Wen chatted with Cheng Lie for a while longer.

The more he spoke with him, the more satisfied he felt, thinking that this young man was not only good-looking on the outside but also quite profound. Not going to college didn’t matter; when the ti ca, arranging so further studies would be fine.

This smart kid probably got delayed because of a poor family background, right?

At this mont, Qin Chi Jin also ca over and saw Cheng Lie talking to Mr. Wen, thinking that this Cheng Lie was quite charming.

Mr. Wen looked at Qin Chi Jin, "Chi Jin, where did you find this young man? You’ve really found a gem."

Hearing Mr. Wen’s words, Qin Chi Jin couldn’t help but laugh.

But he also detected the underlying aning in Mr. Wen’s words, so he said, "Mr. Wen, he’s soone I’ve patiently waited many years for, you can’t just poach him away."

"How could I," Mr. Wen chuckled, glancing at Wen Lin. He already understood his granddaughter’s thoughts.

If she liked this boy, it would actually be quite nice.

Though his family background wasn’t great, if they grood him well, having him beco part of the Wen Family wouldn’t be bad.

He should learn more about this young man from Qin Chi Jin another day.

Cheng Lie also noticed Wen Lin’s gaze landing on him from ti to ti, but he pretended not to see it, maintaining a stoic expression.

It was Wen Lin’s first ti eting such a cold and frosty man; her desire to conquer made her step forward to talk to him.

"Your na is Cheng Lie, right? I’m Wen Lin, nice to et you."

Saying this, she extended a hand gracefully.

Cheng Lie glanced at her, nodded slightly, which counted as a response.

Not shaking hands with her? Wen Lin’s smile remained unchanged, but she wasn’t feeling great.

She never casually shook hands with others; this man...

However, looking at his young face, she surmised he rarely attended such grand occasions. With this thought, Wen Lin felt relieved.

It doesn’t matter; she would befriend him well.

"I’m late!" A booming voice sounded at the entrance. With these words, everyone present fell silent.

The newcor was none other than Qin Yumo.

Qin Yumo hadn’t been invited today, but given his relationship with the Wen Family, he could enter even without an invitation.

After all, he was currently the head of the Qin Family, the only son of Qin Guangtao.

Not long ago, he was almost successfully engaged to the Wen Family’s young lady, but he personally derailed what could’ve been a good match.

Wen Lin saw Qin Yumo enter, pursed her lips tightly, and her eyes emitted a cold light; she looked displeased.

She really didn’t know why the butler let him in.

Qin Yumo swaggered up happily, but upon seeing Cheng Lie standing beside Mr. Wen, his face fell instantly.

Why was this man here too?

In an instant, anger ignited within him.

He hadn’t even settled the score for the beating he gave him last ti!

Qin Chi Jin sensed Qin Yumo’s anger, squinted his eyes, and stepped forward to block Cheng Lie, looking at Qin Yumo, "Yumo, why are you here?"

Seeing Qin Chi Jin block Cheng Lie, Qin Yumo’s anger flared even more, but he forcibly repressed it, to the point where he felt so pain in his heart.

He had a smile at the corners of his lips again, but his eyes were deep and his body exceptionally tense, not at all like soone happy.

The hand beside him clenched into a fist tightly, probably the only way to firmly restrain his anger.

"Uncle, can only you co, and I can’t?" Qin Yumo maintained a surface of carefree elegance, and as he spoke, his aura had settled down, with his charming eyes once again covered with a beautiful sheen.

He couldn’t get angry; losing his temper now would an defeat.

Although he usually acted flamboyantly, at critical monts, he couldn’t act thus.

"You should have given so notice beforehand," Qin Chi Jin said.

"No need for notice, right? My relationship with Grandpa is so good." Qin Yumo looked at Mr. Wen.

Mr. Wen chuckled and nodded. Out of all the juniors, Qin Yumo was the only one who didn’t respect him with reverence.

Though not entirely proper, he appreciated his charisma, which reminded him of himself in his youth.

Therefore, when Qin Guangtao discussed marriage matters with him, he thought Wen Lin and Qin Yumo were suitable in age, and given their childhood friendship, he naturally didn’t oppose their engagent.

Even Wen Lin had no objections, but Qin Yumo reacted strongly, publicly refusing at the banquet Qin Guangtao had planned for them.

Afterward, he apologized, saying he had no feelings for Wen Lin and didn’t want to involve her.

Mr. Wen understood him pretty well, so he didn’t force the matter.

A marriage alliance is an alliance, but if the two kids don’t have feelings for each other, it wouldn’t be a strong and joyful union, and would only lead to family discord.

After speaking, Qin Yumo glanced at Wen Lin again.

Seeing Wen Lin with Cheng Lie, they seed quite a perfect match.

Qin Yumo chuckled with so sarcasm, "So people, act one way in front of others, but another behind their backs; I wonder if that girl would cry if she saw this."

Thinking about Yun Shifei’s angry face not long ago, Qin Yumo thought that she must look pretty nice while crying too.

He unexpectedly had a bit of a twisted desire to see her cry.

In Cheng Lie’s eyes, light refracted like snow and ice as he asked, "What did you say?"

With a cold tone and no emotion, Qin Chi Jin knew Cheng Lie was quite angry.

Qin Chi Jin, feeling a headache coming, imdiately said, "Yumo, today is Mr. Wen’s birthday, what gift did you bring for him?"

"Oh, speaking of that, Grandpa, knowing you love all kinds of paintings, I specifically had soone find the famous painting Lushan Painting by Li Jiayun."

Qin Yumo said, having soone beside him present the painting.

Qin Yumo unfolded the painting for Mr. Wen to see, "Grandpa, I went through a lot to find this, even money couldn’t buy it."

Mr. Wen’s face lit up with excitent upon hearing of this famous painting. Lost during the war years, he didn’t expect Qin Yumo to find it.

Qin Yumo unrolled the painting and placed it before Mr. Wen.

Mr. Wen looked closely at the artwork, feeling a faint excitent in his heart.

No wonder it’s a masterpiece, so exquisite; the mountains, the water, the vegetation seed randomly sketched yet appeared as if they had a soul.

However, the more he looked, the more Mr. Wen frowned; though well-painted, sothing felt amiss.

At this mont, a voice beside him rang out: "This is a counterfeit."
