Su Jiang turned his head and saw a face that was both familiar and unfamiliar: Su Kexin.
Su Kexin looked at Su Jiang, her eyes filled with sorrow. "Dad, I finally get to see you! I’ve missed you terribly."
Su Jiang frowned. "How did you end up here?"
"I... Grandma brought back."
In the few days since her return to Sully, Su Kexin had noticed that neither Su Jiang nor the others had co to visit Old Madam Su. She understood now. Old Madam Su had lost both her power and her influence. Old Madam Su had soone watching Su Kexin twenty-four hours a day, making it impossible for her to contact any other mbers of the Su family.
Su Jiang’s arrival was the perfect opportunity.
Su Kexin glanced around cautiously and whispered, "Su Qinnuan isn’t your daughter; Fu Bing is. You mustn’t acknowledge the wrong one."
Su Jiang’s expression changed. Had this news already reached Su Kexin? Did Fu Bing know as well?
"Who told you? Old Madam Su or her attendant?"
Su Kexin understood even more from his words and nodded. "They’ve known for a long ti but secretly decided not to tell you, ensuring you would never find your daughter."
"Dad, I was foolish before and did many things that angered you and my brothers. From now on, I’ll be obedient. Please don’t abandon ."
Su Jiang glanced at the approaching attendant and said perfunctorily, "I’ll do what I can."
The attendant shot Su Kexin a harsh glance and walked past, bowing.
Su Kexin recoiled slightly.
Malice flickered in the attendant’s eyes. This girl must not be allowed to stay!

"Are you planning to commit murder in Sully?"
The attendant quickly resud her usual ek and ordinary deanor. "Sir, you must be joking."
Su Jiang tossed several sketches to her. "See for yourself!"
The attendant picked up the sketches, her eyes falling on the dates and the depictions of her own face. Her heart sank, but she said, "Whoever took the ti to draw these portraits of did a good job; they’re quite a likeness. If it weren’t for these drawings, I’d have almost forgotten what I looked like when I was younger."

Su Jiang, unable to contain his fury, slamd his hand on the table. The sturdy Huanghuali wood table trembled violently, almost collapsing.
"Sir, I really don’t know what you’re talking about."
The attendant obstinately denied everything.
"Soone! Call the police! Take her to the station!"
Su Mo, who was always by Su Jiang’s side, imdiately pulled out his phone.
Old Madam Su had been listening from behind the screen ever since Su Jiang arrived. Seeing that Su Jiang was about to take action against her attendant, she rapped her cane heavily on the floor.
"Who dares touch her?" she demanded, erging shakily from behind the screen.
A recent severe illness had taken its toll on her, undermining her constitution. All her previous efforts at maintaining her health and appearance were undone. Her face was haggard and deeply wrinkled, and with tears in her eyes, she looked utterly pitiful.
Su Jiang clenched his teeth, fighting back a surge of pity. "She has done wrong and must face the consequences. Are you really going to oppose for an outsider?"
Old Madam Su trembled as she raised her cane. "She has been by my side for so many years. I know what kind of person she is better than anyone."
"Is that so? You knew all along that she hard all those children, and you’ve known where my daughter was for a long ti?"
Old Madam Su retorted, "What nonsense are you spouting? The attendant has always been a vegetarian and is kind-hearted. She hasn’t wronged anyone in all these years. Slandering her is no different from slandering !"
"Does that an everything she did was on your orders?" Su Jiang had no intention of letting Old Madam Su or the attendant evade responsibility.
He had no more ti to waste. He had yielded ti and again, but they had only pushed further, their actions becoming increasingly outrageous.

The police arrived quickly.
Su Jiang ordered, "Take Old Madam Su in for questioning as well."
Old Madam Su sank weakly to the ground. "Su Jiang, I gave birth to you, I raised you! Is this how you treat ?"
"I respected you, I loved you! Is this how you treat my daughter?" Su Jiang shot back. "You should have anticipated this day when you did those things!"
"Take them away!"
The police officers exchanged glances and collected the few sketches.
Su Junxian and Su Junhui imdiately handed over all the information they had gathered to the police. They had a hunch that once Old Madam Su and the attendant made their statents, the missing links in the chain of evidence would be complete.
The police in Sully’s district were in a bind. Old Madam Su was a prominent figure, and having her at the station ant they had to handle her with extre care. If anything happened to her, the consequences would be more than they could bear. Complicating matters further, the person who had reported them was Su Jiang himself. They had no choice but to investigate the case thoroughly.
Director Mo personally invited Old Madam Su into his office and said gently, "Madam, please rest assured. This case will be handled with complete confidentiality. Tell us everything, from beginning to end. We will ensure you don’t suffer the slightest bit of injustice."
Old Madam Su replied, "Go ask whoever told you to arrest ."

"Even if Mr. Su Jiang hadn’t reported this, we were planning to question your attendant in the coming days anyway."
"Your attendant was married once. She divorced shortly after she began working for you. Not long after her divorce, during the birthday celebration for the two young Su masters at Sully, her ex-husband was present. Surveillance footage shows that the man who abducted Miss Su bears a strong resemblance to Zeng Qiang, the attendant’s ex-husband. We have already identified Zeng Qiang, and our colleagues in another region are in the process of transferring him here."
"You can remain silent, but are you certain that your attendant and Zeng Qiang will do the sa?"
Old Madam Su shot Director Mo a look. "Don’t try to set up. I was running circles around people when you were still wet behind the ears."
