Liang Siyun deliberately said this.
She had clung to Lai Rumu’s coattails for so many years, landing her family a villa and her brother a luxury car. If Lai Rumu were to cast her aside, she would have to find another backer. What if the new backer were more perverse and disgusting than Lai Rumu? Rather than face more uncertainties, it was better to hold tightly onto Lai Rumu’s coattails. If one day Lai Shenyan were to expose her affair with Lai Rumu, she could still cleanse her image by professing her true love for Lai Rumu, claiming it was he who had abandoned her.
Liang Siyun had her little sches well thought out.
Lai Rumu deliberately set a trap. "What do you think I should do?"
"You should seriously stop drinking and have soone clean up the house. Firstly, you mustn’t make your family worry. Then, post on social dia that Grandma is sick to get Lai Shenyan and Lai Shenlan to co back. We need to take the initiative to maintain control, and perhaps even deceive Fu Bing into returning."
Liang Siyun’s eyes were tender, yet her heart was full of sches.
"Since President Qin wants Fu Bing, if we trick Fu Bing into coming back from Jiangnan, are you still afraid he won’t cooperate with you?"
After a mont’s contemplation, Lai Rumu nodded.
He harbored another idea though, and said, "Post it from your Weibo."
Disdain surged in Liang Siyun’s heart, yet her face remained as calm as still water.
She wrapped her arms around Lai Rumu’s neck. "For coming up with such a great idea, what are you going to reward with?"
"I’ll reward you with sleeping with !"
Having said that, Lai Rumu pushed her onto the ground.
He rcilessly ripped open her dress and took her on the carpet littered with wine bottles and soaked with spilled liquor.
Seeing this, the servants quickly retreated, not daring to eavesdrop.
Liang Siyun diligently catered to Lai Rumu’s demands, though her heart was filled with hatred. These damned rich people had only ever seen her as a tool. Lai Rumu had completely forgotten that she had lost a child for him just last month.
Liang Siyun turned her head to look at the moon in the night sky as tears dampened her hair.
The deliberately elicited moans only fueled the man’s desire to conquer, making her feel even worse.
「Late at night.」
Liang Siyun, exhausted, put on her clothes and went downstairs.
Seeing the drowsing servant, she snapped, "Get sothing to eat!"
The servant jumped in fright.
Recognizing it was her, he closed his eyes again. Won like her were too common in the Lai Family; there was no need to be polite to her.
Liang Siyun angrily slapped the servant. "Did you hear what I said?"
The housekeeper, who had apparently been nearby, interjected with a sneer, "A sell-your-body bitch daring to act proud? The filthy things you do are far more disgusting than serving tea and water. If you want porridge, cook it yourself!" With a huff, she then turned and left.
Trying to put on airs in front of ? She should know her own place. She had been a nanny in the Lai Family for ten years and knew everyone inside and out. With Liang Siyun’s petty tricks, she was destined to be toyed with to death by the Lai family. By then, the pathetic amount of money she had earned wouldn’t even be enough to save her life. So stupid, yet so demanding! If soone like her doesn’t et with misfortune, who would?
Liang Siyun trembled with rage. Even a servant dared to bully her!
Liang Siyun deliberately reddened her eyes and sent a ssage to Ni He.
"Rumu has already gone to sleep. My body is in so much pain because I just had surgery, and Rumu didn’t control his strength well. My mother and I aren’t close; she only likes my brother. You’re the only one I can confide in."
When Ni He saw Liang Siyun’s ssage, a surge of contempt washed over him, but he still transferred 20,000 yuan to her.
Liang Siyun didn’t accept the money. "You also think I’m only with Rumu for the Lai Family’s money?"
Ni He transferred another 50,000.
Only then did Liang Siyun accept both paynts.
A few words could earn her tens of thousands; she didn’t mind saying a bit more. As for that nanny... She had plenty of ways to deal with her.
Liang Siyun went to the kitchen and deliberately slipped.
She scread, pretending to faint.
The nanny heard the noise but deliberately didn’t open the door to check. Anyway, the Lai Family wouldn’t dismiss her over so insignificant woman.
Liang Siyun lay on the cold ground without getting up.
She couldn’t just sit by and wait for doom. She was twenty-eight and hadn’t made it big in her career. Her looks would fade eventually, and Lai Rumu would find other won. She needed to earn more money for herself, so she had to make her presence felt more strongly before Lai Rumu, make him notice her. When she first entered the industry, she was a stunt double for a star. Soaking in a freezing river in the dead of winter, the cold was bone-chilling. What was this little bit of suffering compared to that?
Lai Rumu was awakened by a commotion.
He ca downstairs with a cold expression, finding the butler scolding the nanny with a grim face.
"It’s so noisy this early in the morning! What are you all paid for?"
"Young Master, Miss Liang fainted, and she’s running a fever."
Lai Rumu, irritated, ruffled his hair. "Did you call a doctor?"
"Yes. The doctor said Miss Liang is extrely weak and that, in the future, she should... cut back on certain activities..."
The butler found the rest difficult to say.
Lai Rumu waved his hand and went to the guest room.
Liang Siyun leaned weakly against the headboard. When she saw Lai Rumu, her eyes imdiately reddened.
She turned her head and silently wiped her tears.
"I know my status doesn’t give the right to order your family’s servants, but I fell, and they wouldn’t even help up..."
Liang Siyun grew more aggrieved as she spoke.
"Whoever made you feel aggrieved, I’ll fire them," Lai Rumu said softly.
Yet inwardly, he was extrely annoyed. He still needed this woman to trick Lai Shenyan into returning to Jiangcheng.
"If you fire them, who knows how people will gossip about behind my back."
"They don’t even respect my guest. There’s no use keeping such people," Lai Rumu said, roughly wiping her tears. "Alright, stop crying. I’ll have soone buy you the latest handbag."
"You think a handbag is enough to dismiss ?"
"That’s spoiling you." Lai Rumu waited until her tears stopped, then said, "Grandma’s illness is severe. Call Lai Shenyan and tell him to co see her."
"I’ve called him several tis recently, trying to coax him back, but the calls wouldn’t go through."
Lai Rumu watched her thoughtfully, his gaze unintentionally growing colder.
"You actually called him behind my back?"
Liang Siyun looked at him with reddened eyes. "You’ve been ignoring lately. I’ve been lying in a hospital bed, recovering, all while worrying about your affairs. If I don’t call him, how will you trick him into coming back? And if he doesn’t co back, you definitely won’t be pleased."
Lai Rumu was inherently suspicious. Even after hearing Liang Siyun’s explanation, he remained doubtful.
On the surface, however, he pulled her into his embrace, his face a mask of emotion.
"In this whole world, you’re the only one who treats this well."
"Who else would I treat well, if not you? You’re the father of my three children. If they had all survived, the eldest would be over four years old by now..."
Lai Rumu rubbed her back. "If you get pregnant again, we’ll keep it."
"Really?" Liang Siyun’s face lit up with surprise.
"Mmhmm." Lai Rumu then changed the subject. "Later, send a ssage to Lai Shenyan on Weibo. Tell him Grandma is critically ill and that he should bring Lai Shenlan back to Jiangcheng to see her one last ti."
