After being yelled at by Harrison Sutton, the servants sward over and began shoving Eliza Sutton.
"Go on! Don’t get us yelled at again because of you!"
"Get lost! The master has already disowned you. It’s useless for you to hang around here!"
Alia Sutton watched as Eliza Sutton was shoved about by the crowd, a triumphant smile gracing her lips.
’Eliza Sutton, your life as a stray has only just begun.’
Alia Sutton quickly plastered on a gentle smile and followed Harrison Sutton and Mae Sheffield to welco Chairman Willow and Ivan Willow.
"Welco, Chairman Willow." Harrison Sutton was all smiles. "Master Willow is truly handso. The very picture of a dashing gentleman."
Ivan Willow lifted his chin slightly, a hint of appreciation for Harrison Sutton in his eyes. ’Not bad,’ he thought. ’Much better taste than that Eliza Sutton. He knows I’m suave and debonair.’
Chairman Willow cut right to the chase. "I’m sure Director Sutton understands why I’ve co today. It’s regarding my son’s affairs..."
"I know, I know." Harrison Sutton cut in before Chairman Willow could finish, eager to state his position. "I never imagined my daughter could be so thoughtless as to actually dare to harm Master Willow. Although she is my daughter, she has been rebellious since she was a child. A few years in prison did nothing to ta her wild nature. I truly had no other choice but to disown her for the sake of righteousness.
I have already publicly severed our father-daughter relationship and had her removed from the family register. From this day forward, other than sharing the Sutton surna, she has absolutely no connection to the Sutton family."
Chairman Willow was a little surprised. "Not only have you severed your relationship with Miss Sutton, but you’ve also had her removed from the family register?"
Mae Sheffield added with a smile from the side, "That’s right. Eliza Sutton may be thoughtless, but we as parents know right from wrong. Rest assured, however the Willow family and Master Willow wish to deal with Eliza Sutton, our Sutton family will not say a single word."
Alia Sutton spoke up even louder, "Sister, since you haven’t left yet, you should hurry over and apologize to Master Willow!"
Alia’s tone was polite, but her eyes glinted with the thrill of watching a good show.
’Now I’ll get to see Eliza Sutton grovel and beg for rcy. I’ll see how she could ever have the face to show herself in front of again!’
Chairman Willow followed their gaze. The mont he got a clear look at Eliza Sutton, he understood why his son had been so foolish.
Eliza Sutton was too beautiful.
Her skin was like cream, her features exquisitely beautiful, making it impossible to look away. But what was most striking was her aura—as aloof and elegant as a winter plum, utterly captivating.
However, when Chairman Willow’s gaze t Eliza Sutton’s eyes, his heart suddenly stopped, then began to pound wildly.
’It was almost unbelievable. He could feel an oppressive aura coming from such a young woman.’
’Eliza Sutton was no simple character.’
Chairman Willow imdiately ca to this conclusion.
’It made sense, when you thought about it.’
Although Eliza Sutton had married into the Lockwood family as a bride ant to ward off misfortune,
the fact that she could get the Lockwood family’s Little Prince to be close to her, and that Shane Lockwood would arrange for Erik Irvine to make a personal trip for her, spoke volus about how formidable she was.
Any other family with such an outstanding daughter would probably be laughing themselves sick with joy.
But the Sutton family had actually disowned her. And what was even more ridiculous was that they had even removed her from the family register, as if terrified she would continue to pester them!
"You are Eliza Sutton?"
"I am." Eliza Sutton’s voice was flat, her expression unwavering despite facing Chairman Willow.
Chairman Willow nodded. Suddenly, his expression darkened, and he barked, "Get over here and admit your mistake!"
Alia Sutton’s eyes went wide as she stared at Eliza Sutton, unwilling to even blink.
’Eliza Sutton was finally going to get what she deserved.’
She would never forget the first ti she saw Eliza Sutton as a child.
Back then, that old woman, Clara Leighton, was still alive. Eliza Sutton had been sitting at a piano, dressed in a pristine, puffy white dress, as beautiful as a princess.
But she was different. As an illegitimate daughter, she could only live cautiously by her mother’s side.
She had been incredibly envious back then, and she had sworn in her heart that one day she would make Eliza Sutton taste the sa grievances she had suffered.
And now, that day had finally co!
’From now on, the Sutton family would be their Sutton family, and the forr great Miss of the Suttons was about to be dragged through the mud!’
Then, with a loud THUD, soone fell heavily to their knees.
But the one kneeling on the ground was none other than Ivan Willow.
At the sight of Ivan Willow kneeling, Harrison Sutton froze.
Mae Sheffield froze.
And Alia Sutton froze completely.
Alia Sutton murmured, "Is Master Willow’s injury so severe that he can’t even stand properly?"
’That’s it.’
’It must be.’
’If it weren’t for a physical reason, how could Ivan Willow possibly be kneeling on the ground!’
Chairman Willow completely ignored them.
By the ti he walked up to Eliza Sutton, his face was wreathed in smiles.
Chairman Willow was polite and humble, even bowing his body slightly. "Miss Sutton, I am so sorry. It is my failure as a father that led to you suffering such a great grievance. I’ve brought my disgraceful son here today specifically to offer our apologies. I hope you can see that this is his first offense and grant him a chance to turn over a new leaf."
Chairman Willow’s words placed himself in an incredibly humble position.
What was even more shocking to everyone present was that Ivan Willow, who was known to all as arrogant and unruly, also said ekly, "Miss Sutton, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. Please, be the bigger person and don’t hold this against . Just... treat like a fart and let go."
The people present nearly lost their minds.
Alia Sutton couldn’t help but shout, "Master Willow, did you make a mistake? Or does this woman, Eliza Sutton, know so kind of sorcery?"
’Yes.’
’Eliza Sutton must know sorcery.’
’Otherwise, how could the eternally arrogant Ivan Willow kneel before Eliza Sutton and say sothing as crude as telling her to treat him like a fart and let him go?’
"Sorcery? My ass she knows sorcery!" Ivan Willow leaped up and slapped Alia Sutton across the face. "If you hadn’t said you were giving this young master a ’gift,’ would I have been so blind as to provoke my Isla?"
Alia Sutton was stunned by the slap.
She truly hadn’t expected Ivan Willow to hit her.
Seeing the red handprint on her daughter’s face, Mae Sheffield’s heart ached. "Master Willow, we were just talking. How could you lay a hand on Alia?"
"She’s lucky I only slapped her once! I’d rather kill her!" Ivan Willow spat, his eyes filled with vicious hatred.
"Ivan Willow."
Hearing the warning in his father’s voice, Ivan Willow knelt back down. He lowered his head, his face a picture of obedience, as if the mad dog-like frenzy from monts ago had been soone else entirely.
"Isla, I’m begging you to forgive . If you don’t, my dad is really going to beat to death this ti." Ivan Willow’s words were earnest, and he even managed to squeeze out a few tears.
Eliza Sutton found the sight cringeworthy. "Just get up first."
"No, I won’t! If you don’t forgive , I’m not getting up."
Eliza Sutton wasn’t about to indulge him. "Then stay kneeling. Forever."
Ivan Willow imdiately shot to his feet. "How could I do that? Isla told to stand up, so how could I dare to remain kneeling?"
He squeezed out a smile and stuck his big face right in front of Eliza Sutton’s. "Isla, you feel bad for , which ans you must have forgiven , right?"
