Chapter 47: Female Lead
“Good morning, Boss!”
Lu Mian’s fingers hooked onto Jiang Zhi’s hair. His sexy and hoarse voice teased the woman who was pretending to be asleep as he whispered into her ear.
Jiang Zhi’s eyelashes fluttered slightly and her ears turned red. She opened her eyes angrily and saw the red mark on Lu Mian’s neck. She avoided his gaze and wanted to push away the ridiculously aggressive body, but he took the opportunity to clasp Jiang Zhi’s hand and place it on his chest.
Lu Mian smiled as he approached her. “You’ll send to the set, right?”
“You’re an adult now. You should learn to be independent.”
Jiang Zhi tried to break free from his grip, but she felt sothing stirring close to her abdon as if just waking up. She was so scared that she did not dare move.
“It seems like lady boss is still not satisfied with my performance last night. Why don’t we go over it again?”
Lu Mian tugged at the bedsheet, and Jiang Zhi jumped up like a frightened rabbit. She ran to the bathroom wrapped herself up in a towel and said hurriedly, “I’ll give you half an hour. Put on your clothes and wait for outside the door! Keep that neck covered!”
In front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror, Lu Mian rubbed the hickeys on his neck with his fingers. He was so amused by Jiang Zhi that he laughed out loud.
Yu Wan, who was on vacation, received a ssage from Jiang Zhi. She changed into light sportswear and waited by the roadside. When she saw the familiar license plate number, she habitually opened the passenger door but was stunned. She saw Lu Mian, who was holding the steering wheel and nodding at her. She quickly said, “I’m sorry.” Then she sat in the back seat and fastened her seatbelt!
At the intersection where the traffic lights were waiting, Lu Mian reached out with his right hand to Jiang Zhi as if he was hinting sothing.
“I was studying the script last night, and my hand is so sore. Boss… can you please give a massage? Otherwise, I’m afraid that I’ll delay the director’s progress, so I’ll definitely have to double my practice tonight…”
“Cough cough!”Jiang Zhi understood what he was saying and was so angry that she quickly pulled his hands over and tried to pry them apart!
These hands had tortured her terribly last night, so she could not let him carry on any further!
Jiang Zhi made up her mind, but Yu Wan seed to realize the hidden communication. She quickly lowered her head, took out her script, looked at the few lines she had, and repeated them over and over again…
Lu Mian lifted the corners of his lips and humd a tune happily.

On the set, Jiang Zhi waited for Lu Mian and Yu Wan, who were putting on makeup, to catch a glimpse of two nanny vans driving in.
Surrounded by five or six assistants, Yin Yue wore sunglasses that covered half of her face and greeted the assistant director grandly.
When she saw Jiang Zhi, she raised her proud face and looked at her contemptuously. She said sarcastically, “What? The company is bankrupt, so you can only co to the set to do odd jobs?”
“It’s been hard on you!” She took off her coat, handed it to her assistant, and sat on the actor’s chair.
Yin Yue put on a disgusted expression, waved her hand, and deliberately said loudly, “The air in the production team has been tainted by so impoverished people! Fortunately, I am willing to pay them so much-needed cash and ran away from the old broken company! Otherwise, I would definitely be serving tea and pouring water for others in the production team instead of being the female lead!”
“Oh? Why haven’t I heard that you’re the female lead?”
“I didn’t notice any improvent from your acting skills recently. Did you manage to deceive yourself?”
Jiang Zhi crossed her arms. Seeing that Lu Mian and Director Zheng were chatting, she walked towards them and stood up to greet them.
Director Zheng looked at Lu Mian with admiration and said, “Miss Jiang has a unique vision. She has found two unpolished gems for the entertainnt industry! Today, add two heavy scenes for Yu Wan and try out a new style inside. Don’t worry.”
Jiang Zhi nodded gratefully. Yin Yue frowned and pricked up her ears to eavesdrop on their conversation.
Director Zheng seed to have thought of sothing and added, “When the promotion is over, we will revise the position of Yu Wan’s third female lead. Her performance is not bad and she will definitely be able to get the support of the fans. As for how to write the promotional draft, Miss Jiang can think about it carefully.”
Jiang Zhi could tell that Director Zheng wanted to raise Yu Wan’s position, so she quickly expressed her gratitude to him.
Director Zheng waved his hand, but his gaze fell on Yin Yue. He asked with so doubt, “May I ask, who are you?”
Yin Yue put on a smile, squeezed out her crescent-shaped eyes, and said with so pride in her tone, “Hello, director. I’m Yin Yue. I was delayed a while ago. I heard that our female lead’s scenes are very full. I’ll need more guidance from you in the future…”
“Female lead?”
Director Zheng turned around in confusion and said, “Call the assistant director over and ask him what’s going on.”
The surrounding staff laughed and started discussing.
“This woman said she’s the female lead?!”
“Is she daydreaming? How funny!”
