No matter what conflicts they may have, Jiang Changfeng didn’t want to show them in front of her little niece.

After a few people sat down, a servant brought in a prepared fruit platter and a steaming cup of hot milk, which Jiang Changfeng had specifically instructed.
Mianmian is young and should drink more nutritious things and less of those unhealthy drinks.
"Co, Mianmian, your younger uncle prepared a eting gift for you. Open it and see if you like it?" Ma Lei took out a delicate gift box and handed it to Jiang Mianmian.
"Thank you, Uncle," Jiang Mianmian nodded slightly, politely expressing her thanks.
She opened the gift box and saw a necklace set with small diamonds inside; it was clearly worth a lot.
"Thank you, Uncle. The necklace is beautiful, and I really like it," Jiang Mianmian thanked him naturally and graciously.
It was her first ti seeing her wealthy younger uncle, and at tis like this, she needed to appear more generous and poised. She couldn’t bring embarrassnt to her aunt.
Otherwise, it wouldn’t be good if the other party thought she was just here to take advantage of them, like a rural relative seeking favors.
Jiang Mianmian’s concern wasn’t unnecessary, because in Ma Lei’s mind, she was soone living a hard life inland, here to seek favors.
Jiang Mianmian’s graceful deanor did surprise Ma Lei a bit, but it didn’t change his view of her; instead, he felt this rural girl was good at pretending.
While thinking this in his heart, he still put on a kindly face and asked with concern, "Mianmian, you should be in junior high at ho this year, right? How are your grades?"
Ma Lei knew that when he and Jiang Changfeng left all those years ago, this child was just born, so with a simple calculation, he knew Jiang Mianmian’s age.
"Uncle, I’m in high school now. My grades are all right; they’re pretty good," Jiang Mianmian said modestly.
"Oh, you’re in high school already? Did you skip a grade?" Ma Lei was a bit surprised to hear this.
"Yes, I skipped a few grades in both elentary and junior high. I’m in first year of high school now," Jiang Mianmian explained simply.
Jiang Changfeng, who had taken her niece out to play for two days, knew these things about Jiang Mianmian.
Even though she was still sulking with Ma Lei, she couldn’t resist showing off how proud her family was.
"Our Mianmian’s grades aren’t just okay; they’re exceptionally good! She got the top score in Yang City’s high school entrance exam," Jiang Changfeng boasted proudly.
Ma Lei was thrilled that Jiang Changfeng took the initiative to talk to him, especially since the last ti she did that was three months ago.
He joyfully gave Jiang Mianmian a thumbs up and praised, "Really, Mianmian is amazing, truly bringing honor to your aunt."
