The Yuh family wasn’t angry at all about their taking the spotlight. Instead, they felt that Jiang Changhai and his family were giving them a lot of respect and making their family proud.

After the birthday banquet, all the guests returned to their hos, and Jiang Changhai and his family returned to the Jiang Family.

At the Jiang Family ho, the old lady looked at them, and unwilling to let them go, said, "Changhai, this ti stay a few more days. It’s been a while since you all ca back."

"Alright, Mom, my wife has two days off, so we’ll stay one night and leave tomorrow afternoon." Jiang Changhai replied with a smile.

Since high school was about to start, they planned to go to the city next week to tidy up their place and buy so daily necessities. So next ti, they weren’t sure when they could return.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, they decided to stay a couple more days at ho to accompany the elders.

"That’s wonderful, Mianmian. Tonight, I’ll make your favorite fried cured at with bamboo shoots." The old lady was delighted to hear they’d be staying for two days.

"Thank you, Granny." Jiang Mianmian replied sweetly.

During the two days Jiang Changhai and his family stayed at ho, the old lady treated them extrely well.

Su Wanyu didn’t have to do anything at all. The old lady would chat with her warmly daily and even ask what she wanted for dinner before cooking.

Zhao Xiaojuan and Sun Lixia were dumbfounded at this, thinking perhaps the old lady was bewitched. Why was she suddenly so nice to Su Wanyu?

But after thinking it over, they understood. Su Wanyu was about to beco an official employee at the municipal governnt. Tis had changed. Since Eldest quit his job, there hadn’t been any news about him looking for work. He’s at ho all day.

With her going up and Eldest going down, the disparity in their status in the family kept growing, right?

If the old lady didn’t treat her better, and if Su Wanyu beca unhappy and decided to leave Eldest, wouldn’t that be a great loss?

After figuring this out, both of them didn’t feel jealous. Given Su Wanyu’s current status, she was the second Jiang Mianmian at ho, and it was only fitting for the whole family to treat her well.

After staying two days, on the afternoon of the weekend, as Jiang Changhai and his family were preparing to leave, Old Lady Yuh ca over with a basket of eggs, smiling broadly.

"Aunt Yuh, you’re here. Please co in." Jiang Changhai was in the courtyard checking the bike’s chain and called out warmly when he saw her.

"Hey, Changhai, are you getting ready to leave?" Old Lady Yuh asked with a smile, noticing Jiang Changhai fidgeting with the bicycle.

"Yes, Aunt Yuh, we’ll be leaving soon." Jiang Changhai replied cheerfully.

Old Lady Yuh entered the house, put the basket of eggs on the table, and said to Jiang Mianmian, "Mianmian, this is a little token from Granny Yuh for you. Take them for school. Eat more eggs to get nutrition and achieve even better grades in the future."

Jiang Mianmian looked at the basket of eggs and glanced back at Zhang Guihua, seeking her grandmother’s opinion.

"Mianmian, accept your Granny Yuh’s kind gesture." Zhang Guihua spoke.

"Thank you, Granny Yuh." Jiang Mianmian nodded slightly and smiled in thanks.

Not long after they started talking, other villagers began arriving one after the other, bringing gifts.

"Mianmian, here are so wild mushrooms from your Third Uncle. Take them and eat them in the city so you don’t have to spend money buying more."

"Mianmian, here’s a bag of grains from your Aunt. If you don’t like coarse grains, you can exchange them for finer ones."
