Capítulo 948: Chapter 948: Treating Like a Son-in-Law
“Ah, that’s right.” Zhang Guihua saw that he was listening to her, and finally smiled.

Zhang Guihua has co around, thinking that her daughter-in-law is so capable, she can’t selfishly keep her son in town. Jiang Changhai must go to the city with her.
As long as the family is well, she can be at ease.
Jiang Changhai tried to suppress his laughter, earnestly cooperating with her: “Yes, Mom, it’s good that you’ve thought it through. Don’t worry. Even though the city is far from ho, I’ll visit whenever I have the chance. When Mianmian’s on winter or sumr break, we’ll stay ho a few more days and not leave you lonely.”
Zhang Guihua: “Of course! I haven’t seen Mianmian for a few days, and I already miss her.”
The mother and son worked in the kitchen for an hour before dinner was ready.
Su Wanyu, seeing the full table of dishes, praised enthusiastically: “Wow, Mom, Brother Hai, you two are incredible, making so many dishes. It’s sumptuous.”
“Yes, Grandma, you made so many delicious dishes, all my mom and I love to eat,” Jiang Mianmian said happily.
“As long as you like it, Wanyu, eat more and nourish yourself.” Zhang Guihua uncharacteristically served Su Wanyu a big bowl of chicken soup, picking out two good pieces of at for her soup bowl.
“Thanks, Mom.” Su Wanyu took it, sniffed, and looked satisfied.
“No worries, if you like it, there’s still half a pot in the kitchen. Heat it tomorrow, and you can have another al,” the old lady said and then served Jiang Mianmian a big bowl, before finally serving Jiang Changhai.
During dinner, Zhang Guihua rembered the Yuh family banquet.
“Changhai, Wanyu, the end of this month is the Yuh family old master’s birthday, and Aunt Yuh invited you ho for the feast.”
“The end of the month?” Jiang Changhai calculated it was right over the weekend, and they had nothing much going on, so going ho for a couple of days was doable.
“Okay, Mom, we understand, we will go back then,” Jiang Changhai agreed.
After dinner, the family watched so TV before going to rest in their rooms.
That night, as Jiang Changhai and his wife lay in bed, he recalled what his mom said in the kitchen, laughing as he spoke to Su Wanyu: “Wife, do you know why Mom was so out of character and nice to you today?”
“Yeah, Brother Hai, why is that? Mom’s so different today than before,” Su Wanyu asked, particularly puzzled.
“Because Mom said you’re amazing now, capable, and I’m just staying ho all day, so I need to treat you better so you won’t look down on later,” Jiang Changhai laughed as he spoke.
Su Wanyu couldn’t help but laugh either: “Haha, Mom is too funny. I was wondering why she was overly nice to today, making you do all the work. I even offered to do so laundry earlier, but she wouldn’t let , insisting you’d do it tomorrow.”
“Sigh, the old lady has truly started treating you like her own and like the son-in-law who married into the family,” Jiang Changhai sighed dramatically.
