“Waiting for your sister? Then we’ll wait with you, we’ve got nothing much to do at ho anyway.”
“Yeah, we’ll keep you company while you wait.” The two little boys said loyally.
“You really are our good brothers, so loyal.” Zhiwen patted the little boy closest to him, saying happily.
“Of course, we’re good brothers, we should share our sorrows, face troubles together, and enjoy blessings together,” the little boy said excitedly after being praised by Zhiwen.
Li Lan ca out of the classroom and heard their silly conversation. She rolled her eyes helplessly and also stood aside to wait for Jiang Mianmian.
Li Lan was also in her first year of junior high. Coincidentally, she was in the sa class as Zhiwen and Zhiwu, and she had t the two brothers at Jiang Mianmian’s house and had played with them before.
So, they had arranged to wait for Jiang Mianmian after school. Who would have known that as soon as the school bell rang, the two brothers ran off without a trace? It wasn’t until she reached the entrance that she saw them spouting nonsense.
When Zhiwen saw Li Lan, he rembered their morning arrangent and said with so embarrassnt, “Hehe, Li Lan, I was too excited when school ended and forgot to wait for you. We’ll definitely wait for you tomorrow.”
“It’s fine, we can just et up here afterward,” Li Lan said with a smile.
While they were talking, Jiang Mianmian also arrived at the entrance of the teaching building.
“Mianmian, over here!” Li Lan saw Jiang Mianmian and waved her hands excitedly to call out to her.
“Sister Lanlan, Big Brother, Second Brother, you guys ca out so early,” Jiang Mianmian greeted them with a smile when she saw them.
“Yeah, our class is close by, so we got out early,” Li Lan explained.
“Zhiwen, Zhiwu, this is your sister? She looks so young, is she already in junior high?” One of the little boys who got along well with the brothers asked with so surprise after seeing Jiang Mianmian.
“Absolutely, my sister is the best. You may think she’s young, but she’s actually in her third year of junior high, two grades above us,” Zhiwen said proudly.
“What? She’s in the third year of junior high? Wow, your sister is really amazing!” The two little boys said in shock upon hearing this.
They thought Jiang Mianmian, with her fair and tender appearance, was cute and pretty and had intended to take her under their wing as a younger sister, only to find out she was two grades above them.
But she seed so young, and for a mont, they didn’t know how to interact with her.
“Of course, my sister is amazing. She is known as the Little Prodigy in our school. Her essays from elentary school have been published in national newspapers. How could she not be amazing?” Zhiwu boasted eagerly.
He wished he could shout at the top of his voice so the whole school would know that this Little Prodigy, Jiang Mianmian, was his sister, Jiang Zhiwu’s sister.
He was proud to have a very, very amazing sister, making everyone envy him.
Upon hearing this, the two little boys couldn’t help but gulp. After exchanging glances, they asked sowhat awkwardly, “Zhiwen, Zhiwu, your sister isn’t the Little Prodigy, Jiang Mianmian, is she?”
“That’s right, she is Jiang Mianmian. We share the Jiang surna too, haven’t you forgotten?” Zhiwen pointed at Jiang Mianmian as he spoke.
“My gosh, it really is her. Uh, Zhiwu, I just rembered I have sothing to do at ho, so, um, I’ll get going first.” After saying this, one little boy quickly ran off with his backpack.
Seeing him leave, the other little boy also made up an excuse to slip away.
