Ever since her family bought a television, whenever she had ti, she would stay at ho to binge-watch series, hardly going out to chat with neighbors.
"Mom, I’m back," Jiang Mianmian shouted as she entered the door.
"You’re back, my girl, how did the exam go?" Su Wanyu asked curiously.
Jiang Mianmian happily handed over her test paper and said with pride and boastfulness, "Mom, I got first place."
Su Wanyu looked at the paper full of ’correct’ marks and the dazzling one hundred and fifteen points, and couldn’t stop smiling as she said, "Oh my, my girl is incredible. You can finally have a good rest during the holiday, right? Middle school must be more exhausting than elentary school, isn’t it?"
Recently, Jiang Mianmian spent every day studying in her room after dinner, which made Jiang Changhai and Su Wanyu worry for her, but they saw her love for learning as a good thing. "Alright, after I finish these two episodes on TV, I’ll go buy prawns," Su Wanyu said, glancing at the television and speaking to Jiang Mianmian.

When Jiang Changhai ca ho in the evening and learned that his daughter had achieved first place, he waved his hand generously and said, "My girl, to reward you for coming first, let’s go to the Supply and Marketing Cooperative later. You can buy whatever you like."

Because color televisions use electricity to instantly transmit moving visual images, similar to movies, televisions work through the visual persistence effect of the human eye. They display moving images visually by having a series of changing static images.
The broadcasting side of the television system converts every minute detail of the scene into electrical signals based on brightness and color, transmitting them in sequence.
On the receiving side, the details of the brightness and color are displayed according to their corresponding geotric positions to recreate the entire original image. This is what people commonly refer to as a color television.
Color televisions differed from black-and-white televisions in several aspects such as scanning and channel, which were denoted with Latin letters, among other standard components. They also had different color television systems that were based on how three primary color signals were encoded and decoded differently on the transmitting and receiving ends.
Using the equipnt in the laboratory, Jiang Mianmian began to adjust the encoding of the three primary color signals necessary for a color television. She had already morized the relevant information beforehand, so when she started, she was quite composed and not at all harried.
It took her a full six days and dozens of experints before she finally succeeded and made a color television.
