Chapter 44: Chapter 44 Rewards and Punishnts
“Yes,”
the system affird, fearing she would take it too hard, it consoled, “But don’t be sad, Host. With this system, you’ll soon beco a genius with an IQ of 200!”
Jiang Mianmian waved her hand dismissively, “What’s there to be sad about? You said it yourself, my IQ in this life is already much higher than in my last.”
With an IQ of 104.6, she was now standing out among ordinary people, and her mory at 119 already exceeded that of an average person!
Slacker underachievers are always so easily satisfied.
System: Still no ambition!
“Host, there are 10 bonus intelligence points in the lower left corner, you can add them to whichever ability you wish to strengthen.”
Jiang Mianmian didn’t even think before responding, “Add them all to mory.”
Her reasoning was simple, strong mory ans morizing answers, right?
The system had no objections, only snickering at her naivety behind her back.
mory might be sufficient for handling the simple knowledge in grades one through three, but it falls short when tackling the thinking questions from grade three and up.
“Host, you can now attempt the test questions for the first grade.”
Jiang Mianmian felt a little lazy, but considering she just learned the material and it was still fresh, she went ahead and did it.
Without any surprises, she scored perfect marks, earning another 10 intelligence points, which she also poured into mory. Glancing at the interface—
mory (200): 139
Observation (200): 104
Attention (200): 98
Thinking (200): 100
Imagination (200): 102
Average intelligence value: 108.6 (Normal range: 90-110)
Seeing the striking 139, Jiang Mianmian nodded in satisfaction and prepared to sleep.
But the system said, “Host, upon activating study ace mode, your daily study tasks will be different from the preschool education mode. From now on, Host must study in the system space for at least one hour each day or else you’ll lose 1 intelligence point.”
“Fuck! Why didn’t you say so earlier?!” Jiang Mianmian was dumbstruck.
She had struggled for a week to earn just 10 intelligence points—equivalent to just 2 sanity points!
If you had said earlier, you’d definitely have been delaying until school starts!
The system silently judged her while maintaining a serious tone, “Host, where there is reward there must also be punishnt; this is a survival rule in human society.”
You heartless system!
Jiang Mianmian silently gritted her teeth, “You win!”
She really wanted to just go to sleep with a clear conscience, but, feeling protective of her limited intelligence, she reluctantly entered the system space to study.
What the system didn’t tell her, though, was that the passage of ti inside was different from the outside, slowed down by a factor of three.
In other words, while Jiang Mianmian thought she had to study only for one hour each day, it was actually three hours.
That was because the human spirit body was too fragile for faster ti flow; a three-fold reduction was the maximum that humans could endure. Otherwise, ti in the system space could be even slower.
Kids who loathed studying as much as the Host, if they knew, would probably go insane. Best to keep it a secret then.
And so, Jiang Mianmian spent what felt like an excruciatingly long month, imrsed in a dual learning environnt.
“Phew—”
Jiang Mianmian took a sip of sugar water and wrote the last character of the ancient poem in the square box, sliding it forward.
“Sister Aibao, I’m finished.”
Da Ya and Er Ya looked up, their faces filled with envy, “San Ya is so amazing, we’re still morizing first-grade textbooks, and you’ve already morized and written out the entire third grade!”
Jiang Mianmian chuckled, reveling in the feeling of being an ace student!
