Chapter 439: Chapter 439 Guarantee You’ll Like It

Yu Cheng watched as Jiang Mianmian stared dumbly at the departnt store, leading her inside, “What’s wrong? Stunned by the sight? Don’t just stand here like an idiot, hurry up and go in.”

It was a weekday, so there weren’t many people inside the departnt store. Having been here a few tis with Cheng An and the others, Yu Cheng knew where the fabrics were sold.

Arriving at the fabric section, Jiang Mianmian, trying her best to tiptoe, glanced at the various colors of poplin before saying to the sales clerk, “Auntie, I want cotton fabric.”

At that ti, poplin had just started to beco popular because it was stiff, wrinkle-resistant, and durable, which made it very popular with the masses.

However, Jiang Mianmian didn’t like this kind of fabric; it didn’t absorb sweat, wasn’t breathable, and was very uncomfortable to wear.

Pure cotton was better, sweat-absorbent, breathable, and comfortable to wear.

After buying enough cotton fabric to make clothes for two people, Jiang Mianmian took out money from her pocket and was about to hand it over to the sales clerk.

Yu Cheng saw this, stretched out his hand, and pulled back Jiang Mianmian’s small short hand.

“Little Lamb, I’ll pay,” Yu Cheng said as he reached for his money.

“Brother Yu, I want to pay for it myself. If you buy it for , I won’t take it,” Jiang Mianmian quickly objected.

“I’ll buy this for you, and you can save your money for snacks,” Yu Cheng tempted her with her favorite snacks.

“That’s not good. I can’t use your money to buy a gift for soone else,” Jiang Mianmian shook her head and said confidently.

Seeing her obstinacy, Yu Cheng let her do as she wished.

When Jiang Mianmian bought the fabric this ti, she specifically brought Yu Cheng’s portion as well, because Yu Cheng’s birthday was also the following week.

She knew that with Yu Cheng’s family background, he didn’t lack money or valuable gifts, so early on, she had planned to make a suit of clothes by hand for him as a birthday present.

If she hadn’t co to the Capital City, she would have made it at ho and sent it over.

Back at the compound, Jiang Mianmian excitedly spread out the fabric and, holding the tape asure she borrowed from Aunt Sun, rushed towards Yu Cheng.

“What’s the matter?” Yu Cheng asked, puzzled.

“Brother Yu, co here a bit. I need to asure your waist and chest,” Jiang Mianmian said, waving the tape asure and smiling mischievously.

“Hm? What do you need these asurents for?”

“Hehe, I want to make you a suit of clothes.”

“You’re going to make clothes?” This ti, Yu Cheng was genuinely surprised. Why suddenly make clothes for him?

“Of course! Your birthday is next week, and I want to personally make you a suit of clothes as a birthday gift,” Jiang Mianmian said matter-of-factly.

“Forget it, look at you, you’re not even taller than the fabric you bought,” Yu Cheng said as he put his hand on top of Jiang Mianmian’s head and pressed down.

Little Lamb’s intention made him quite happy.

“Brother Yu, don’t press down. I won’t grow taller if you do that,” Jiang Mianmian slapped Yu Cheng’s hand away and fixed her hair.

What a not-so-cute little devil, Jiang Mianmian thought to herself.

Yu Cheng saw Jiang Mianmian pouting, smiled, pinched her shoulder, and gave her a little tug upwards, “Co here, I’ll give you a stretch. You’ll definitely grow taller.”

“Brother Yu, stop ssing around. Stand still and let asure you,” Jiang Mianmian insisted, holding the tape asure.

Seeing this, Yu Cheng slightly curled his lips and said, “Okay, but if it doesn’t look good, I’m not wearing it, you know.”

“Mhmm, don’t worry. I’m really good at it. The clothes I make will definitely be to your liking,” Jiang Mianmian said with great confidence.

Jiang Mianmian found a notebook and jotted down Yu Cheng’s asurents.
