Chapter 387: Chapter 387 Doing Howork Together
Hearing this, Su Wanyu didn’t imdiately agree but said gently and amiably, “Sister-in-law, this is Mianmian’s decision to make. We can’t decide for her. You have to ask her.”
In their family, everyone always made their own decisions.
She also worried that having so many children together might affect her daughter’s studies.
Upon hearing this, the neighbors imdiately turned their heads in unison to look at Jiang Mianmian, “Mianmian, is it okay if your brother and sisters do their howork with you?”
“Sure.”
Jiang Mianmian didn’t mind having more kids join her for howork.
Besides, they had only recently moved in, and if they outright refused the neighbors’ requests, they were afraid that it would harm their relationship with the neighbors from now on.
Jiang Changhai was actually quite happy that his daughter could have playmates. Otherwise, aside from school, she’d spend all her ti cooped up at ho studying.
Plus, with friends, she was less likely to be bullied when she started middle school.
The neighbors were also very happy. Auntie Li smiled warmly and patted her little head, “Ah, what a good and sensible girl you are, Mianmian. If you have any questions during howork, make sure you teach them. If Sister Lanzi’s grades improve, Auntie will buy you candy.”
“Okay, Aunt Li,” Jiang Mianmian replied obediently.
Seeing her daughter agree, Su Wanyu and Jiang Changhe naturally had no objections.
“Auntie Li, sister-in-law, I am very welcoming of the children studying here. We are all neighbors, and it’s only right to help each other. However, we cannot accept this gift. You are being too formal,” Su Wanyu declined.
“Oh, how embarrassing, it’s not anything expensive. Just keep it,” Aunt Li said with a chuckle.
“It’s alright, we are all family here. Please take it back.”
“Xiao Jiang and Xiao Su are really straightforward people. If you need any help in the future, just say the word.”
Seeing that Su Wanyu insisted, the neighbors did not continue to leave the gift behind.
“Don’t worry, we won’t be strangers to you. I’m going to clean up a table for the children,” Su Wanyu said, and then went to clear off the dining table.
“Co on, kids, you can do your howork on this table.”
“Thank you, Auntie.”
The children thanked her in unison, their parents were there after all; they had to act like well-mannered kids.
Five children sat on the stools, taking out their sumr howork and spreading it across the table.
The table Su Wanyu had just cleaned beca a “battlefield” in an instant.
The neighbors, seeing the children following Jiang Mianmian quietly doing their howork, were very satisfied. They exchanged a few more pleasantries before heading back to their hos.
However, once the children, who were pretending to do howork, saw their parents leave, they imdiately revealed their true colors.
Three of the children exchanged glances, and as if they had a silent agreent, they ran out to play wildly, and Jiang Changhai didn’t stop them.
Ironically, the boy who usually loved to play tricks and led the other children to ostracize Jiang Mianmian, as well as Auntie Li’s daughter, didn’t leave.
When Su Wanyu ca out of the house with grapes, she noticed fewer kids and asked, “Where are the other children?”
“They ran off.”
Jiang Changhai took the fruit from her hand, “I’ll wash them. You just sit and rest, wife.”
After washing fruit for the few children, the couple held hands and left for a bit of ti to themselves, leaving only Jiang Mianmian and three children at ho.
