Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Bad Premonition

Jiang Mianmian: Suddenly had a bad feeling.

As expected, I heard the village chief saying, “I heard San Ya will be resting at ho for the next two months, and just in ti, Aibao is on break and can co back to provide so tutoring.”

Jiang Mianmian was about to refuse, but her mom accepted imdiately, “Then we must thank the village chief imnsely, our Mianmian will definitely study hard.”

This was truly a case of falling asleep and being handed a pillow—her daughter’s chances of getting into high school had just increased!

Jiang Mianmian quickly said, “This might not be a good idea, wouldn’t it interfere with Sister Aibao’s own studies?”

Upon hearing this, fifteen-year-old Lin Aibao shook her head, “No, while you do your howork, I can study on my own.”

When she spoke, her eyes were shining.

She could finally teach soone else and hold a class!

In school, she had always thought teachers were very commanding and had longed to be like them, educating and instructing.

But her younger brothers at ho didn’t care for her lessons, and the kids in the village were either busy with chores or playing with mud and bird eggs, leaving her with no opportunity to show her skills.

So, when her dad asked her today if she’d like to tutor San Ya, she didn’t even think before agreeing.

Jiang Mianmian: “…”

Seeing her excitent and enthusiasm, Jiang Mianmian quietly tugged on her dad’s sleeve, “Dad, quickly help her refuse, she doesn’t want to be tutored ahead of ti.”

However, Jiang Changhai thought that studying ahead was a good idea, allowing her to show off once she got to school, so he pretended not to notice.

At this mont, the old lady spoke with a troubled face, “Village chief, we know you an well in letting Aibao teach San Ya, but our family really doesn’t have much to offer.”

It was common knowledge that if soone ca to teach one’s child, one should offer sothing in return as tuition.

But the re thought of paying two yuan in tuition fees was painful enough, let alone spending an extra cent!

“There’s no need for any paynt for teaching one child,” said the village chief, waving his hand.

“Besides, we’re all from the sa village; if San Ya becos successful in the future, we all share in the glory.”

Upon hearing this good deal, Sun Lixia quickly joined in, “Village chief, can we have Aibao tutor Zhiwen and Zhiwu as well?”

She had heard Aibao was a good student and was likely to get into high school next year.

The two boys instantly reacted with a look of resistance, shouting, “We don’t want her tutoring!”

Listening to teachers in school was already dreadful enough; if they had to study during the holidays at ho, they were sure to go crazy.

Several girls, however, looked on with envy and desire; they too wanted to read and write.

Zhao Xiaojuan, seeing this, felt very bitter and decided to discuss with her husband later, to let their daughters study as well.

Lin Aibao, looking at the two dirty boys then back to the fair and obedient Jiang Mianmian, suddenly beca picky about her students, “I will be teaching first-grade textbooks, which they have already studied.”

“Right, right, we’re already in third/fifth grade,” the two boys nodded vigorously like pounding garlic, terrified of being dragged to tutoring classes.

That’s when you teach third-grade and fifth-grade material!

Sun Lixia thought this to herself but dared not say it out loud; she only pleaded with a hopeful face, “So, if they don’t know how to do their howork, could you Aibao help teach them?”

“I could do that.”

Lin Aibao nodded, then stuffed the textbooks into Jiang Mianmian’s hands, earnestly instructing, “You take these two books first; I’ll co teach you tomorrow morning.”

Jiang Mianmian wanted to cry but had no tears: No, I don’t want it!
