Capítulo 410: Chapter 397: A Prescription

“As far as I know, Mr. Willow has already t her.”

Rainny White looked at Sophie Parker with a sardonic smile, her tone carrying an intentional hint of probing.

Sophie Parker’s face darkened instantly, a flicker of jealousy flashing in her eyes.

No wonder Adam Willow had beco increasingly distant lately, barely bothering to speak a few words. It was because Emily Parker had returned, and they had already t!

“Are you here just to tell this nonsense?” Sophie pressed down her anger, her tone full of impatience, and reached for her bag, preparing to leave. “If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going.”

She couldn’t wait any longer and had to find Adam Willow right away to get to the bottom of it.

But just as she took a step forward, Rainny White grabbed her wrist.

“Sister Sophie Parker, don’t rush off.” Rainny quickly changed her mocking expression to one of pitifulness.

“I wanted to ask if you could help find a job. You know, Emily has returned, President Palr is going to jail, and soon we’ll be completely abandoned by the Carter Family. We can’t just sit back and do nothing until we can’t even afford to eat, right?”

Sophie Parker shook off her hand forcefully, even more impatient. “No matter what, the Carter Family wouldn’t deny you alimony, would they? Besides, with your abilities, what job can you do?”

“I used to help out at Zenthar, didn’t I? I do have work experience, and I graduated from a prestigious university,”

Rainny hurriedly added, fearing Sophie would refuse, quickly taking out a few photos from her bag and handing them over. “Could you help secure a job there?”

Seeing Sophie not responding imdiately, she leaned forward and lowered her voice, as if offering a bribe.

“I specifically hired a private detective to follow Emily. These photos are proof.

If you need them, I can also provide you with her subsequent movents.”

Sophie glanced over the photos, her gaze narrowing suddenly.

In the photos, Emily Parker and Adam Willow did indeed enter the guard hall successively, the images captured clearly.

She gripped the photos, silent for a mont before finally speaking, “Tomorrow at noon, wait for outside Zenthar.”

The next morning, after taking Aaron to kindergarten, Emily Parker went to find Master Lowe.

Master Lowe lived in an old house tucked away in an alley, with gray tiles and white walls, two red lanterns hanging at the entrance. Pushing open the carved wooden door, a courtyard with several osmanthus trees greeted them.

“Master!” Master Lowe was watering the osmanthus trees when he saw Emily enter the courtyard, quickly moving to greet her, his voice full of delight.

“How can I let you visit personally? I planned to visit you once the clinic gets less busy in a few days.”

Master Lowe was visibly excited.

“I just ca to see you and ask about the matter I entrusted to you before.”

Emily waved her hand with a smile and sat down at a nearby stone table.

Master Lowe approached, lowering his voice as his excitent brimd, “By the way, there’s news about that old formula you asked to find!”

Emily’s previously relaxed deanor beca serious, sitting up straighter with anticipation in her eyes. “Tell in detail.”

“I asked several old friends in the circle, visited many old pharmacies, and finally found a clue.

This formula appeared before,”

Master Lowe paused, his tone becoming increasingly solemn. “It’s said that this formula is extrely rare. When used ordinarily, it can slowly adjust the internal organs and strengthen the body. For soone like Little Jules, born with weakness, it’s just perfect for conditioning. More impressively, it’s rumored to have the effect of reviving the dead, bringing back those on the brink of death!”

“But many also believe that the formula is likely fake,”

Master Lowe furrowed his brows, his voice full of hesitation, “After all these years, no one has ever seen the actual formula.”

As one of the few people Emily could trust in this city, he knew better than anyone that Emily was so determined to find this formula mainly for Little Jules’s health.

But Little Jules’s congenital deficiency, brought out from the womb, relying on a formula that only exists in legend to completely eradicate the illness seed too far-fetched. Even with Master Lowe’s years of dical experience, he wasn’t very confident.

“The formula is real. I’ve seen it before,” Emily sighed softly, her voice low. “Because that formula was originally created by my mother.”

These words left Master Lowe’s expression frozen, full of shock. Even his breath caught for a mont before he found his voice again: “Your mother… created it?”

Emily nodded, her gaze distant, as if drifting back into childhood mories, “I was probably only a few years old, with a particularly weak constitution, and had been accidentally poisoned.

My mother spent a full ten years studying and adjusting to create that formula to cure .

It was also thanks to that formula that I gradually recovered and beca healthy later on.”

Here, her voice dipped with a tinge of lancholy, “Later, because of certain reasons, my mother passed away. When I sorted through her belongings, I searched everywhere but couldn’t find that formula. Afterward, I sporadically heard people say that the formula had appeared in Zylos.”

Emily was acknowledged as a genius in dicine, yet her skill fell short of her mother’s in creating a formula that could address congenital deficiencies and detoxify old poisons. This is why she was now urgently seeking to retrieve that formula.

“I have a piece of information, but can’t guarantee its accuracy,” Master Lowe paused, cautious in his tone. “It’s said that soone in the Zylos governnt once brought out this formula. That person…” He faltered, hesitantly writing down a na before pushing it toward Emily.

Emily glanced down, her brows tightening instantly, fingers clenching the hem of her clothing. She had vaguely suspected back when she was searching for the formula that it might have been taken by the Parkers. But since nobody in the family understood pharmacology, and subsequent discreet inquiries revealed nothing suspicious, she had gradually dismissed the idea.

Could it be… that it was really Henry Parker who secretly took her mother’s formula?

It seed she must pay Henry a visit.

Emily’s eyes darkened slightly, a subtle chill flashing in their depths as a resolution ford in her heart.

Without any delay, she imdiately set out for Zenthar.

Though her ties with the Parker Family had long since severed and she had cut off all contact, she had heard fragnts of news about them over the years. Besides knowing Sophie Parker had married Adam Willow, she also knew Henry Parker had enjoyed a smooth political career in recent years.

Soon after his stint at the health bureau, Henry Parker steadily climbed the ranks and now held a significant position in Zenthar, wielding considerable power.
