Maria Carter found the security room at Grandview Tower and requested to view the surveillance footage.
Initially, the security refused to cooperate, but she got permission to view it after spending so money.
After a search, Maria Carter was thoroughly disappointed; besides herself and her assistant, Alia Willow and the others, there were no other familiar faces in the footage.
Just as she was about to give up, a woman wearing a mask suddenly appeared on the screen, walking out of the elevator with Alia Willow and her assistant.
The woman glanced at the cara quickly before lowering her head, but that one glance shocked Maria Carter—this figure resembled her sister-in-law too much!
"Sister-in-law! Is it you?"
Her heart raced with excitent, but unfortunately, the footage only captured this short segnt, and the woman didn’t appear again.
Maria Carter imdiately copied this part of the video and then left Grandview Tower.
Elsewhere, after Emily Parker finished handling Alia Willow’s matter, she thought about checking the footage, but seeing it was nearly 6 PM, worried she would be late to pick up Aaron Yardley, and since she had worn a mask when she went out, she didn’t think much more and directly headed to Saint Mary’s Kindergarten.
At the kindergarten entrance, little Aaron Yardley was squatting by the roadside, looking pitifully into the distance.
The kindergarten guard approached and inquired, "Little one, hasn’t your mom co yet?"
The little guy had been waiting for quite a while, causing the guard to mutter to himself: which parent is so irresponsible.
"My mom will co as soon as she finishes her work." Little Aaron Yardley explained while standing on tiptoe to look around.
At this ti, a car drove up and stopped, blocking his view, but the person who got out wasn’t his mom; instead, it was soone he was a bit averse to.
"Mom! That’s him! The new one."
Rainny White, holding Sebastian Carter, suddenly pointed at little Aaron Yardley, her tone full of arrogance.
Rainny White imdiately frowned, scrutinizing little Aaron Yardley, noticing his clothes had no designer label, and his face was covered with an old mask. Her gaze turned cold instantly: "You’re the new transfer student? Dressed so shabbily, and you dare co to Saint Mary’s Kindergarten?"
Little Aaron Yardley clenched his clothes and retorted while looking up: "My clothes are made by my mom, not shabby! Who are you to judge ?"
"Because I am the future Young Lady of the Carter Family!"
Rainny White looked down and tugged at little Aaron Yardley’s mask, "Concealing yourself, are you sick? Co with , let’s go to the hospital for a check-up!"
Little Aaron Yardley jumped a step back, rembering his mom’s warning: "I won’t go with you, you’re a stranger!"
Seeing he wouldn’t cooperate, Rainny White ordered the driver to grab him forcefully, prompting little Aaron Yardley to loudly call for help.
When the guard arrived, Rainny White preemptively accused: "This child likely has an infectious disease; several classmates have been made unwell by him! I must take him to Love & Kindness Hospital. If anything serious happens, can you bear the responsibility?"
Upon hearing her status, the guard lost confidence and could only watch as little Aaron Yardley was pulled toward the car door.
Before getting in, little Aaron Yardley quickly looked around and suddenly raised his voice: "You say I have germs, yet you’re willing to sit in the sa row? Aren’t you afraid I’ll infect Sebastian Carter? I want to sit in the front seat, far from you!"
Rainny White scoffed and patted Sebastian Carter’s head, "Don’t worry, honey, what bad intentions can a poor kid have? Let him sit in the front, so he won’t dirty the leather seats at the back." She then signaled the driver to open the door.
As soon as he got into the front seat, little Aaron Yardley deliberately reached out and touched the central control button. "Hillbilly, don’t touch indiscriminately!" Rainny White scread from the backseat, "This car is worth ten years of your family’s earnings, if you break it, we can’t even sell you to pay for it!"
Little Aaron Yardley pretended to be startled, but his hand quietly reached down, his fingertip hooking onto the handbrake cable. The next mont, as the car started, a strange "clack" sound was heard, and it abruptly stopped on the roadside. After getting out and checking, the driver’s face turned ugly as he reported: "Madam, there’s a problem with the handbrake, it can’t move."
Rainny White’s face turned a shade of iron gray with anger as she dialed Carlos on her phone, softening her tone instantly: "Brother Carter, quickly co to Saint Mary’s Kindergarten to pick us up! This poor kid tampered with sothing and broke our car, we’re stuck here!"
