Undercurrent Surges: Celebration and Conspiracy

After seeing the news of Carter Automotive’s victory, Adam Willow lost his desire to play chess.

The room fell into silence among everyone present.

At this mont, Evan Palr walked in.

"Why is everyone so gloomy?"

He shook the bottle of 1978 Romanee Conti in his hand, "Today is a mont worth celebrating."

Adam Willow adjusted his gold-rimd glasses. A hint of confusion flashed in his eyes behind the lenses,

"Over at Carter Automotive..."

"Hold on a mont."

Evan Palr’s lips curled into a aningful smile as he took out a gold-embossed contract from his briefcase,

"Take a look at this."

Adam Willow leaned in to check, suddenly gasping,

"Tempest Capital agreed to cooperate with us?"

Unhurriedly, Evan Palr opened the wine, the cork making a light "pop" sound,

"Does Carlos really think winning one match is the end?"

He poured everyone a glass. The dark red wine swirled in the crystal glasses, "The real show is just beginning. Carlos must think he’s won, but in reality, he’s lost miserably."

anwhile, in Eastern Hospital, Faye Manor lay on the hospital bed, his plaster-cast leg hoisted high, yet it didn’t affect his animated expression in the slightest.

"Master Carter! You’re truly like a father to !" He excitedly tried to sit up, but as the pain tugged at his wounds, he grimaced back onto the bed, "Who would have thought my brother is the legendary King!"

Sunlight filtered through the blinds, casting striped shadows on Carlos.

Hearing this long-awaited title, the corner of his lips lifted slightly: "Five years retired, out of practice."

Emily Parker sat quietly on a sofa in the corner, peeling an apple. The fruit knife twirled dexterously at her slender fingertips, the peel forming one continuous strip.

"The credit for this victory goes to Emily Parker."

Carlos casually took the fruit knife from her hand; Faye Manor didn’t deserve to eat the apple his wife peeled.

Faye Manor waggled his eyebrows, "I get it! Behind every successful man, there’s a formidable woman!"

He mischievously glanced at Emily Parker.

Emily Parker simply smiled without speaking, the sunlight casting fan-shaped shadows under her eyelashes.

Only Carlos knew that this seemingly gentle woman was actually the legendary designer "Euro King" of the European car scene.

Carlos walked over to the window. The sunset frad his profile with a golden edge, also reflecting a chilly glint in his eyes.

"This ti, the Bennet heir must pay the price."

Faye Manor’s playful deanor vanished, his muscles tensed under his hospital gown,

"Attorney Shaw has already obtained the evidence of him hiring a hitman." He gritted his teeth, "That bastard tried to buy my life for just a million!"

Carlos gently placed the fruit knife down. The collision of tal and the glass table emitted a crisp ring:

"I heard the Bennet patriarch ca to plead, bringing a five-million check."

"Ha."

Faye Manor let out a cold chuckle. As he turned, shadows cloaked half of his face,

"Tell Old Master Bennet, either let his son serve ten years in prison, or..."

Carlos smiled and walked over to Emily Parker, placing his large hand over her rounded belly, "Rest assured, I’ll let the Bennet Corporation accompany them to their grave."

Outside the window, twilight deepened. The last trace of sunset broke through the clouds, casting their elongated shadows on the floor, intertwining tightly like an impenetrable net.

At the end of the corridor, a nurse pushed a dication cart past. The sound of the wheels approaching and fading resembled the silent rotation of the fate’s gears.

At this ti, a storm was brewing, and at its center was Carter Automotive, which had just recently claid victory.

That very night, a sudden news announcent was released.
