Sophie Parker walked up with a beaming smile, just as William turned around.
Everyone’s vision suddenly went black.
The VIP lounge was instantly plunged into darkness.
Sophie was taken aback, and Adam Willow and Father Parker also looked surprised.

Minister Jas’s voice carried a hint of displeasure.

Evelyn Hanson grinned and went up to grab so food.
Emily Parker glanced at the food on the trolley. By coincidence, it happened to be the sa dishes she’d just eaten.
Emily slyly glanced at Carlos beside her. It couldn’t be that he knew her tastes; it must have just been a coincidence.
As they were eating, they noticed people gradually coming out of the VIP lounge.
“He thought that a reception co-hosted by Love & Kindness Hospital and the governnt would be so upscale; who knew there’d be a blackout.”
“What bad luck, I saw William slipped too. The organizers are truly embarrassing our country this ti.”
“I heard they even angered the experts in the Western dicine industry, including Master Lowe.”
The guests who ca out kept grumbling.
Evelyn Hanson widened her eyes and looked at Emily Parker beside her.
She thought Emily was joking when she said to stay and watch the show, but is there really a show to watch?
Emily was still holding a fork with a piece of cake on it, her face full of shock.
This drama didn’t turn out quite as she expected?
She glanced at Carlos beside her, who was holding a glass of champagne. When Carlos noticed Emily looking at him, he slightly raised his glass.
“Mr. William, are you alright? The ambulance will be here soon.”
Just then, Adam Willow helped soone walk out.

Carlos put down his glass.
The lights suddenly went out, and Mr. William slipped without noticing.
“I’m alright.
Your girlfriend isn’t hurt, is she?”
Mr. William was certainly a gentleman.
Standing beside him earlier was Evan Palr, who was chatting with him at the ti. When the power went out, sohow Evan got bumped, and he grabbed onto Mr. William, causing them both to fall.
Adam Willow was puzzled. Why did it seem like Mr. William was so concerned about Sophie? Could they have known each other before?
“She’s fine, she was just very concerned about your injury.” Adam Willow
