Carlos couldn’t care less about Sophie Parker.

Carlos did not want to make a big scene, especially since his grandfather was upstairs, and there was also that young nurse working in the pharmacy whom he inexplicably did not want to involve in this matter.
The hospital pharmacy seed to be nearby.
Carlos waved his hand, and several bodyguards covered Adeline’s mouth and dragged her away.

Seeing how concerned Emily was for the old man, Adam Willow inquired about his condition.
“The old man has high blood pressure.
A fall could be serious; we need to take an X-ray to make sure there’s no harm to his bones or viscera, then check his brain.”
Adam Willow instructed Emily to take the old man for an X-ray.
When Emily Parker ca out with the old man, she found a wheelchair for him.
She looked outside the ergency room, and the one called Adeline had already left.
“Grandpa, you wait here, I’ll go request leave and co back soon.

Emily Parker glanced at the ti; it was already 2 o’clock.

On her way back to the pharmacy, she happened to pass by the stairwell.

In the stairwell, Carlos stood with his arms crossed, his face an icy mask.

As she was about to walk away, Emily’s heartbeat quickened when she heard this.

In his view, even a little nurse was far better than her.
Even in his most desperate or irrational monts, Carlos could never lower himself to desire Adeline.
