Chapter 1094: Did Si Fuqing Transmigrate?! (1)
She rarely cried, even when she was gravely injured.
The few tis she had shed tears were during drunken stupors or monts of unconsciousness.
Again and again, she called out “sister,” her cries heart-wrenching.
Yu Xiheng paused for a mont, lowering his voice even further. “Did you dream of your sister?”
Si Fuqing looked at him, as if she had yet to free herself from the endless nightmares.
He didn’t rush her but gently patted her back, helping her calm down.
...
After a while, she shook her head. “No, I dread of Emperor Yin.”
Yu Xiheng’s fingers tensed suddenly, though his tone remained steady as he followed her lead. “And then?”
“I dread he was about to die.” Si Fuqing lowered her head, hastily wiping away her tears. Her voice was muffled, “But he’s still so young. He has so many ambitions yet to fulfill.”
A dragon among n, born to be an emperor, yet he had only lived to twenty-seven.
In that era, fifteen hundred years ago, such spirited youth rarely lived to a ripe old age.
Si Fuqing murmured, “I also dreamt of the JIANG family, that everyone in the JIANG family had perished in battle.”
The term “loyal and valiant” seed like the highest honor, but it was truly a profound pain.
She had witnessed far too many deaths. After burying JIANG Xuanjin and Su Yunchu with her own hands, she heard Emperor Yin cough, knowing he would soon cough up blood and die. This pain reached its peak.
Yu Xiheng fell silent.
For him, this was not rely a dream, nor just a few lines in history books; it was a reality he had lived through.
History was too small to encompass the entirety of their lives.
“But they had no regrets.” Yu Xiheng gently patted her head. “Stop crying, okay?”
His words were sincere.
He might have had so regrets, perhaps there were things he didn’t get to do, but he would never regret what he had done.
If given another chance, he would make the sa choices.
“I know.” Si Fuqing buried her head in the pillow. “I just feel a bit unwilling.”
“No need to feel that way; everything happens for a reason.” Yu Xiheng bent down, stroking her head. “Get so good sleep. Tomorrow I’ll take you out. The archaeology departnt at Great Xia University is investigating JIANG Xuanjin’s tomb. Want to go?”
Si Fuqing’s eyes sparkled with excitent. “Yes! I’ll sleep right now.”
“Okay.” Yu Xiheng stood up. “Sleep well.”
He waited until her breathing steadied before closing the door quietly as he left.
Gazing at the stars and moon in the galaxy, Yu Xiheng’s expression gradually darkened.
If one entered the holographic ga in sleep mode, they could rest and wake up without feeling exhausted.
Yet, no matter what, one would never dream.
He lowered his eyelashes.
But her sadness felt genuine, giving him a strange sense that she truly had witnessed his death.
Yet when she ntioned dreaming of him, an inexplicable feeling settled in his heart.
Feng San observed from a distance, puzzled. “Brother Nine seems to be in a good mood.”
Xi Jiang replied, “Of course, it’s because of Miss Si. You wouldn’t understand.”
Feng San asked, “…Do you understand?”
They were both single; who was more noble than the other?
As the night deepened, the wind suddenly stirred.
In the darkness, soone appeared silently.
“You haven’t returned to the Free State in a long ti. Aren’t you going to calm those restless people?”
“No need to worry.” Yu Xiheng’s expression was devoid of any fluctuation. “You have plenty of ti ahead. How did it go?”
The words darkened Huo Yanxing’s face.
His voice ca out through clenched teeth. “I’ve never seen such a heartless woman who would abandon everything.”
Yu Xiheng remained noncommittal, saying coolly, “She’s a psychic evolved being; perhaps she deleted her own mories.”
Huo Yanxing frowned. “Why would she do that?”
Psychic evolved beings were powerful, but the negative repercussions could be severe.
Once, in the Free State, a psychic evolved being had suffered a ntal breakdown, resulting in the imdiate deaths of three hundred eighty-four evolved beings in that area.
“You would have to ask her yourself.”
“Ask her? At that ti, I couldn’t even move; I couldn’t do anything.”
“Oh?” Yu Xiheng raised an eyebrow slightly. “Perhaps your skills were unsatisfactory to her.”
Huo Yanxing was rendered speechless.
After a mont, he gritted his teeth. “You can actually say such things?”
It was utterly unlike the Yu Xiheng he rembered.
“Learn a bit; you can learn anything.” Yu Xiheng turned away. “Why haven’t you returned to the Free State? Doesn’t the Huo family care?”
