Chapter 1084: Si Fuqing Is the Little Junior Sister (2)
Such conscientious filming on location was indeed a rarity these days.
Decades ago, it might take years to film a single production; nowadays, dramas were largely created using post-production special effects.
Yet, no matter how realistic the effects were, they could not compare to the breathtaking landscapes of the Great Xia Empire.
Si Fuqing was still fast asleep, though she was rely dozing in a gaming pod.
At that mont, she had just concluded a battle alongside Emperor Yin, exhausted and slumped in her chair.
The ga had turned her into a weak strategist, completely incapable of lifting a hand or bearing any burden, leaving her repeatedly hoisted onto a horse by the emperor.
...
It felt like a humiliation she would never forget.
As she took a breath to steady herself, JIANG Xuanjin returned from the battlefield.
Si Fuqing greeted him, “Elder Young Master.”
“Strategist,” JIANG Xuanjin stepped forward with a smile. “You’re about to return to Yong’an with His Majesty, right? I’d like to ask you to bring sothing for .”
“Sure,” Si Fuqing nodded. “For Miss Zhaouie, I presu?”
For the past few years, JIANG Xuanjin and his eight brothers had been fighting on the battlefield, and each year they would gather a variety of rare and precious treasures to present to JIANG Zhaoyue.
However, JIANG Xuanjin’s voice faltered for a rare mont, his handso complexion slightly flushed. “N-no, I want to ask the Strategist to deliver this box to the young lady at the Zhongyong Marquis’s residence.”
He retrieved a sandalwood box from his bloodstained embroidered robe.
In a hushed tone, JIANG Xuanjin continued, “Once this year passes, she will be eighteen. I don’t want her to wait any longer; if she does, she might not be able to marry at all.”
Si Fuqing paused, realization dawning upon her.
At last, she understood the aning behind JIANG Xuanjin’s earlier words.
His beloved was not absent; rather, she was soone he could not have.
Having witnessed the hardships endured by Madam JIANG over the years, he was reluctant to delay another young woman’s life.
As JIANG Xuanjin headed off to battle, he had known that he would likely die on the battlefield.
He was a man without a future.
With such complicated emotions swirling in her mind, Si Fuqing exited the ga and pushed open the pod’s door.
Outside, the sun shone brightly, having reached its zenith at noon.
“Teacher Si, your fans have co to see you!” At that mont, the screenwriter knocked on the wooden cabin door. “Mr. Yu ordered takeout for everyone. You must be hungry after sleeping so long.”
Si Fuqing rubbed her head, quickly freshening up before changing into a T-shirt and jeans to go outside.
“Qingqing, are you alright?” Mu Qingng asked, pulling her closer with concern. “Have you not rested well these past few days? If so, you should take a few days off.”
“I’m fine, I just had a very long dream,” Si Fuqing replied softly. “I dreamt about JIANG Xuanjin, and it made quite sentintal.”
Mu Qingng was taken aback. “JIANG Xuanjin?”
Jiang Shuihan also looked up in curiosity.
“Thoughts during the day manifest in dreams at night,” the screenwriter comnted. “Teacher Si is truly dedicated, always revising JIANG Xuanjin’s storyline, so it’s no wonder she dreamt of him.”
Si Fuqing picked up a snack and nodded. “I’ve figured out how to enhance JIANG Xuanjin’s romantic subplot.”
Her words caused everyone at the table to freeze mid-action.
The screenwriter’s eyes widened in excitent. “Teacher Si, you’ve successfully divined the plot!”
Sang Yanqing was speechless.
Their ability to adapt was truly impressive.
Si Fuqing squinted, raising an eyebrow. “Yaoyao, how about a cao? What do you think?”
Through the ga “Eternity,” she had t the young lady from the Zhongyong Marquis’s residence whom JIANG Xuanjin had ntioned.
This young lady had even left no na in history.
Yet, her deanor was sothing few could portray convincingly.
At least, the current crop of popular stars could not.
Ji Qingyao looked bewildered. “B-but I… I can’t act.”
“It’s fine, I’ll teach you,” Si Fuqing said, stroking her chin with a sly smile. “I think your temperant fits quite well, even better than those traffic stars. You’re also skilled in martial arts, so we’ll save on hiring a martial arts director.”
Sang Yanqing sighed inwardly.
Bringing in a cao was secondary; she was clearly trying to cut costs.
She had long seen through Si Fuqing’s true nature.

The afternoon shoot was set to start at two o’clock.
After finishing lunch, Si Fuqing sought out Yu Xiheng, massaging her shoulders as she complained, “I took a nap, but now my back and waist hurt.”
She naturally couldn’t ntion that her discomfort stemd from the perfectly simulated pain in the ga, where she had been thrown off a horse by Emperor Yin.
Yu Xiheng looked up from his book at her voice, setting it aside. In a calm tone, he called out, “Co here.”
“What for?” Despite her question, Si Fuqing walked over.
His long, slender fingers rested on her shoulders, radiating warmth that sent a shiver down her spine.
Si Fuqing felt an itch under her skin and attempted to stand, but he pressed her back down.
“Don’t move,” Yu Xiheng said flatly. “I’m giving you a massage; I don’t want your bones to misalign.”
His touch was just firm enough, perfectly alleviating her discomfort.
Si Fuqing thought for a mont and suggested, “Can I lie down?”
Yu Xiheng raised an eyebrow slightly, maintaining his steady pace. “Sure.”
She comfortably shifted her position, lying down on the sofa.

Outside the production.
Lang Xuan finally arrived. He didn’t even have ti to wipe the sweat from his brow before imdiately seeking out Director Lu.
“Who are you—” The director, taken aback, found Lang Xuan strikingly familiar. After a few seconds, it hit him. “President Yun?!”
The president of Above the Cloud had co all the way to their set?!
“Apologies for the interruption.” Lang Xuan took a deep breath to calm his racing heart. “Is Little… Miss Si here? I wish to see her, right now.”
He had no intention of contacting the sect just yet; after all, that explosion over four years ago had still not uncovered its source, ultimately deed an accident.
There was no guarantee that it wasn’t soone from the sect who had acted.
Director Lu quickly replied, “Yes, yes, yes! I’ll fetch her right away. Please, have a seat, President Yun.”
At last, Lang Xuan’s furrowed brow relaxed.
No matter what, he was the first to find his Little Junior Sister. This achievent was more than enough to boast about for a lifeti.
