The vehicle finally stopped in front of an amusent park gate with only a few staff standing by; it was clear that the showrunners had booked the venue.
The leader approached the director with a smile and said, "I've arranged everything on-site according to your requests."
"Alright, I got it."
"Here's the box you wanted." After handing the box to the director, the leader walked away.
Carrying the box, the director walked towards the five pairs of guests and slowly explained the ga rules, "Today's amusent park challenges will be decided by lottery. Hidden within each attraction will be a card. Only those who find the card will have completed the task and can then enjoy a surprise prepared by the show's team in advance."
"What if we can't find the card?" Liang ngyun asked thoughtfully, voicing her concerns.
"The deadline is before noon. Those who don't find it will face a small punishnt. Which group wants to draw first?"
" first!" ng Wangge clenched her teeth and raised her hand, thinking that drawing earlier ant more choices.
She quickly walked up to the large box, reached in, and pulled out a slip of paper that read: Roller Coaster.
Seeing this, she was stunned—it was as if the phrase 'whatever you fear you will encounter' ca true for her.
"The roller coaster is no big deal, just a small thing," Yao Hui, utterly undaunted by the amusent, felt the challenge possessed no difficulty.
Sang Jiao was next to draw and her paper read: Swing.
While Liang ngyun's read: Climbing.
And Lu Tianxin's: Bungee Jumping.
Once everyone had finished, Sang Qiao also stepped forward, casually drew a slip, and unfolded it to reveal the words: Ghost House.
Clearly, Sang Qiao's task was the most challenging. The sheer number of props in the Ghost House, not to ntion the various tunnels and rooms, made it so.
It would be tough enough not to get lost, let alone find a card.
[Jiaojiao is so lucky, truly a woman blessed by the gods! The swing looks so cozy.]
[I suggest Sang Qiao washes his hands before drawing next ti, with so many attractions how did he manage to pick the one with the highest degree of difficulty? I've heard the cards in the Ghost House are extrely well-hidden.]
[Sister ng Yun is pretty unlucky too, climbing is physically demanding, and the showrunners, with their ill intentions, have surely placed the card at the very top.]
[Am I the only one curious about where the bungee jumping card is? It couldn't possibly be hidden inside the rope, right?]
"After everyone has their cards, please follow the staff," the director said. "They'll lead you to the respective amusent park attractions. I hope everyone can complete their tasks smoothly."
The five pairs of participants each followed a staff mber, taking different directions. Liang ngyun ran after Sang Shen, feeling a bit guilty, "Sorry, Sang Emperor, my luck isn't very good, but I'll try my best not to hold you back."
"No worries, just do your best," Sang Shen replied indifferently, continuing to stride forward.
Liang ngyun, accustod to his aloofness, could only try her best to keep up with him.
Upon reaching the climbing area, the staff explained that the height was around twenty ters. The two stood at the designated spot and tied on safety harnesses.
The cara constantly fild from behind. As Sang Shen often exercised and worked out, climbing was no challenge for him, and he easily ascended part of the way.
Liang ngyun, however, struggled. Despite using all her strength, she still lagged far behind Sang Shen.
Drenched in sweat, she looked up at Sang Shen, who stood tall and stable with every step, never once looking back at her.
As Sang Shen climbed down, Liang ngyun was still around five ters off the ground. She forced a smile and called out, "Did you get the card?"
"No, the card isn't up top," Sang Shen said, his eyes growing deep. His back was already drenched in sweat, which rolled down his Adam's apple and into his shirt collar.
[What's the production team up to now? If the card isn't at the top, then where is it?]
[I'm so pissed! Isn't this making us climb for nothing?]
"Then where could it be?"
"I don't know, let's go down and see."
"But I haven't finished climbing yet," Liang ngyun said, gripping the rock holds, looking down, feeling sowhat uneasy. She knew all too well that it was impossible for her to complete the climb with her physical strength.
And she did not want Sang Shen to look down on her.
"No need, it's pointless and unnecessary," Sang Shen spoke and then started climbing down on his own.
Liang ngyun forced a bitter smile, realizing that even after partnering up with him for so long, she seed to have always been a stranger to Sang Shen, not even warranting the courtesy of a greeting by na.
She closed her eyes to collect herself, followed him down, and replied in a soft voice, "Okay."
When they had descended, Sang Shen walked around the climbing area and found the card right on a table next to the staff. He reached out, took it, and furrowed his brow.
[...the production team is really screwing with us, huh? Sending us to climb, and the card's just on the table???]
[Brother Sang Shen's completed the task, I might pop over to the Ghost House next door, curious to see if Sang Qiao is going to be scared shitless.]
[I've just co back from ng Wangge's live broadcast, and I'm dying of laughter. Their group turned into a cody show. Before getting on the roller coaster, they boasted about not being scared, and then one pissed their pants coming off it, and the other turned pale from puking.]
[Holy shit, that intense? Then I missed it, too busy watching my Sang Shen!]
[They'll broadcast it after editing. Just you wait, sisters, the shaless production team will definitely release that part.]
[LOL, so who ended up pissing themselves? ng Wangge or Yao Hui?]
[Yao Hui! And he tried to claim it was just water spilled on his pants, but they didn't even carry water onto the roller coaster. The caraman knew exactly what the internet wanted, getting a clear shot of Yao Hui's soaking wet backside.]
[HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, my head's gonna fall off from laughing.]
Before long, this bunch of people rushed into the Ghost House, where the cara had just captured multiple "ghosts" sitting in a corner of a room, their headwear long gone.
With their bizarre makeup and bruised faces, they looked anything but scary, bordering on comical instead.
Sang Qiao dragged over a stool and sat in front of them, "Spill it, where's the card and where's Si Chenli?"
"We really don't know. There are several groups of staff inside here; we're just here to scare you and distract you, that's all."
"Exactly, I swear! If there's even a hint of a lie in what we're saying, may I be cursed never to have offspring!"
These "ghosts" were regretting so much at this mont. If they'd known Sang Qiao was so capable, they wouldn't have taken soone's orders for five tis the salary, to grab Sang Qiao and try to lock her up in a blind spot of the room's surveillance and beat her up.
[Sheesh~ That curse is intense; you can tell he really knows nothing.]
[So you're asking about the card first? You're actually asking about the card first? General Sang, have you forgotten about your kidnapped little wife?]
[...I just got here and I'm totally confused. Can soone tell why those "ghosts" look like they've seen King Yan himself?]
[HAHAHA, sister, you've missed out on the drama of the year. Honestly, when those ghosts grabbed their props and charged at them, it was too realistic, even I got a scare. But Sang Qiao wasn't the least bit frightened, she fought them coolly and handed them a beating, leading to the scene you all are watching now.]
Hearing the "ghosts'" tale, Sang Qiao fell into thought. With such a massive Ghost House, she couldn't possibly search every room for the card and Si Chenli, could she?
Was there a chance that Si Chenli had already taken the card and was waiting for her outside?
