Chapter 287: Chapter 287: Sang Qiao: You Scalded

Si Chenli’s broad palm was warm and gentle as he dried her hair with practiced ease.

Sang Qiao sat quietly enjoying it, she couldn’t deny that having soone else dry her hair was truly comfortable.

Following the man’s gaze downward, she could see an enticing view of her loose neckline, though the young girl was completely unaware.

With her eyes closed and obediently letting him dry her hair, the man’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and his movents slowed unconsciously, losing their smoothness.

“Did you burn my hair?” Sang Qiao felt the scalp on the left side of her head as hot as fire. She raised her eyes to look at him.

It was then that Si Chenli snapped back to reality, eting the young girl’s accusing eyes and felt his heart soften. He tenderly massaged the over-dried part of her scalp.

“I didn’t burn it, I just blew on it a little too long by accident, sorry.”

“Should I do it myself?” Sang Qiao reached for the hairdryer, fearing he might get distracted again and burn her hair, eager to dry it off and get so sleep.

“Give another chance, I promise I won’t scorch your scalp,” Si Chenli didn’t let go, his tone carrying a note of guilt.

“Then don’t get distracted,” Sang Qiao said, relaxing her hand as she listened to his earnest words.

“Mhm.” This ti, Si Chenli didn’t dare let his mind wander and concentrated on drying her hair.

When the hair was almost fully dry, he unplugged the hairdryer, placed it back in the cabinet, took a comb from the table, and smoothed her hair before speaking softly, “All dry now, go to sleep.”

“Okay.” Sang Qiao slipped into the covers without hesitation, the blanket warm and soft.

Si Chenli put the comb away, turned on the nightlight, switched off the main light, and then lay down. The night was quiet, and the two exchanged a silent look before turning away.

Sang Qiao waited for so ti for him to make a move but, just as she was about to close her eyes and sleep,

His large hands suddenly wrapped around her waist, pulling her close. The warmth of his body pressed tightly against her back, and he whispered in her ear, “Qiaoqiao, is it okay?”

“I don’t want kids right now,” Sang Qiao shifted uncomfortably.

“Then we don’t have to,” Si Chenli got up and picked up a small box from the bedside table.

Sang Qiao: “!” Fully prepared, she had no coback.

Si Chenli quickly leaned in.

(The rest is left to your imagination.)

The next morning, Sang Qiao opened her eyes groggily, feeling sore all over. She rubbed her eyelids and reached out for her phone on the nightstand.

Her hand was gently caught by a larger one. Si Chenli stroked her head, tucking her hair behind her ear as he lowered his voice, “It’s still early; sleep a bit more.”

“Okay.” Sang Qiao withdrew her hand back under the covers, closed her eyes, and slept peacefully beside him with her lush lashes fluttering, cheeks a rosy hue.

Si Chenli’s smile deepened unconsciously as he watched her and lay down next to her.

He felt refreshed and laid his gaze on her face, leaning over to kiss her softly.

By the ti Sang Qiao woke again, it was already nine in the morning. She sat up, looked at the high sun out the window, then turned to look at the man beside her.

“Breakfast is ready, wash up and co downstairs,” Si Chenli chuckled.

He had already washed up and was dressed neatly, waiting beside her, knowing he had tired her out the night before and not wanting to disturb her sleep.

“Okay,” Sang Qiao slowly got out of bed, feeling a bit stiff in her legs and waist but otherwise fine.

Si Chenli was considerate in this aspect, ensuring her comfort, and aside from one or two tis when she asked him to stop and he didn’t, there were no other excessive actions.

The man went into the bathroom first, squeezing toothpaste onto the toothbrush and filling the cup with water, which he placed on the washbasin, “Toothbrush, cup’s here.”

“Uh-huh.” Sang Qiao nodded, reaching out to take them, unintentionally sneezing—a sleepy grogginess still enveloped her from just waking up.

Si Chenli stood by, occasionally handing her the things she needed.

After freshening up, Sang Qiao pulled clothes and pants out of the wardrobe to change into, then suddenly stopped, as if she rembered sothing, and turned to look at him.

“You’ve seen it all before, so why be shy?” Si Chenli, as if knowing what was on her mind, laughed out loud.

“I’m not shy, but it makes uncomfortable,” Sang Qiao said seriously as she stared at him.

“Alright, I’ll wait for you at the door.” The man’s voice was low and chuckling as he obediently left the room, closing the door behind him.

Sang Qiao then quickly took off her pajamas and put on her clothes and shoes. When she opened the door to leave, she saw Si Chenli leaning against the wall waiting for her.

They went downstairs together for breakfast, after which Si Chenli had his assistant drive Sang Qiao to the company first.

“Mr. Si, Young Madam Si, congratulations on your marriage!” The assistant said sweetly.

Sang Qiao with an indifferent face, “Thank you.”

Si Chenli with a detached face, “Get your red envelope directly from finance.”

The assistant, seeing through everything, “Alright.”

Rose Entertainnt

Just as Sang Qiao got out of the car and hadn’t walked far, she turned back to knock on the car window. The window quickly rolled down to reveal Si Chenli’s face.

“I’m leaving.”

“You ca back just to say goodbye?” Si Chenli’s pleasure was clear in the chuckle that ca from his throat.

Sang Qiao nodded; she usually just turned and left. Having walked a distance, she rembered that Ah Li had seed to be watching her the entire ti, reminding her that they were married.

She shouldn’t be so cold to him; Ah Li seed sensitive and fragile and might overthink things.

“No good morning kiss?” Si Chenli asked again, but his face had already turned, openly receptive.

The assistant in the front seat silently turned his gaze away, looking towards the distant garbage can.

Sang Qiao bent down to kiss his cheek and, just at that mont, he turned his head back, and her kiss landed on his lips, making her freeze.

She quickly recovered, stepped back, and said, “That’s the kiss done; I’m off to work now.”

“Alright.” Si Chenli replied softly, his eyes twinkling with mirth as he watched her walk away.

She might not know how her simple gestures were like gifts to him.

Sang Qiao walked straight to her office building and sat in her chair undecided where to begin, so she dutifully started on the tasks Ah He had assigned her.

She began voting for Chen Ling and Jiang Chaoyuan, and since it was her first ti, she wasn’t very proficient and took so ti to learn from other fans.

After sorting that out, she browsed through posts related to these two, helping to like them to boost their popularity.

As a result, that day’s social dia hot search added a new entry, “Rose Entertainnt CEO rumored to be a fan of Chen Ling, liking his posts like crazy, seemingly desiring to poach.”

“Family, has Sister Qiao fallen under the spell of our Chen Ling’s black pants? She gave Chen Ling a total of eleven likes and only nine to Jiang Chaoyuan!”

“Ahhh, what is this? My idol and I are fans of the sa person! We share the sa taste!”

“Sister Qiao, what’s going on with your and Brother Li’s wedding? Why did the live stream suddenly stop? Did you guys elope, sobs…”
