Chapter 280: Chapter 280: What bankruptcy? Don’t talk nonsense.

Sang Siyang’s words made both Sang Shen and Sang Qingran take another look at their eldest brother.

It had to be said, it was indeed very suspicious; clearly, Qiaoqiao was forcibly taken away, so she would definitely try every possible ans to escape. How could their eldest brother not have thought to lock the car door?

“You three are all looking at like this? Do you think I intentionally wanted Qiaoqiao to jump from the car and get injured? How could I be sure that her jumping from the car would result in amnesia?”

Sang Nanfeng couldn’t believe he was being regarded with such distrust by his own three brothers. He was astounded to find he had beco so vile in their eyes, and he couldn’t help wanting to laugh.

He regretted hypnotizing Qiaoqiao into not forgetting them; otherwise, it wouldn’t be surprising if Qiaoqiao failed to recognize them!

“Perhaps your initial plan was to have Qiaoqiao lie in a coma forever, especially since you’ve grown so mad with the idea that Qiaoqiao is targeting you alone!”

Sang Siyang’s disappointnt in his eldest brother had piled up exceptionally high. Prior manipulations, no matter how cunning, were rely out of jealousy and they never endangered a life, but this ti was different.

The eldest brother wanted to harm Qiaoqiao’s life, and Sang Siyang couldn’t just sit idle!

“Fourth brother, don’t speak out of anger. Our eldest brother wouldn’t harm Qiaoqiao, he might have genuinely forgotten.”

Sang Qingran chid in, not because he wanted to speak for their eldest brother, but because that was truly what he believed.

Sang Nanfeng, arrogant and petty, might resort to petty scheming at most, but he would never commit an act that would harm his own family.

“That’s for the best, don’t let find out there’s any trickery!” Sang Siyang gave Sang Nanfeng a cold glance before standing up and striding out.

Sang Shen decisively followed, clearly aligning himself with Siyang.

Watching their silhouettes, Sang Nanfeng made no attempt to detain them. He lifted his head to look at Sang Qingran, who was beside him, “Qingran, do you doubt in the sa way they do?”

“I believe that you wouldn’t harm Qiaoqiao, but that’s all. Eldest brother, don’t do anything that would make you regretful.” Sang Qingran leaned back in his chair, his expression cool.

“I would never harm her,” Sang Nanfeng murmured to himself as well; everything he did was only to win back their family, yet nobody understood him.

He was too eager for the warmth of their family gathering around the table, eating and chatting together.

“Hmm,” Sang Qingran couldn’t help but smirk derisively. He wouldn’t trust Qiaoqiao, perhaps no one would.

The four brothers had reached this point where they were full of mutual suspicion, distrust, and even estrangent.

When dawn broke

No matter how unpleasant their conversation had been the night before, they wouldn’t let their grandfather or Qiaoqiao notice anything amiss.

“Grandfather, have you woken up?”

“Have you guys not slept all night?” Mr. Sang Senior saw the dark circles under his grandsons’ eyes and couldn’t help but frown. Indeed, he had intended to give them a hard ti yesterday, but he hadn’t expected them to actually lose sleep.

Didn’t they know to simply pick any of the many guest rooms downstairs?

“Couldn’t sleep, so we just got together and played gas all night.” Sang Siyang smiled, casually explaining.

Such scenarios were only possible in the past. Now, they didn’t have the energy to spend their spare ti playing gas.

“Staying up is harmful to your health. Go to bed earlier, like Qiao. She was up running at five o’clock in the morning.”

Mr. Sang Senior sighed in exasperation, none of his grandsons could give him peace of mind.

“Qiao has gone for a run?” Sang Nanfeng’s hand, which had been playing with his phone, paused abruptly. He had been in the living room the whole ti; how did he not see anyone coming downstairs?

“Yes, right up there on the treadmill on the third floor,” Mr. Sang Senior said with a touch of pride.

Ever since Qiaoqiao had fallen out with the Sang Family, she stopped coming ho for the holidays, and the exercise room on the third floor had been shut for a long ti, as had the treadmill.

The four Sang brothers fell silent when they heard these words. Qiaoqiao had always been punctual and disciplined, but she used to be willing to stay up late for them.

The entire living room lapsed into silence until Sang Qiao ca downstairs in a new set of clothes.

“Grandpa, brothers.”

“Qiaoqiao’s downstairs, co and have breakfast.”

“Okay.”

“I had soone specially cook two boiled eggs for you to replenish your protein,” Mr. Sang Senior said with a face full of doting affection, able to overindulge in the care that was once lacking for his granddaughter, filling his regretful heart.

But when he thought of Si Chenli, who loved Qiaoqiao so deeply, he felt a heartache for him.

“Thank you, Grandpa.”

“Qiaoqiao, do you want to go shopping with big brother after breakfast? You haven’t bought new clothes for a long ti, and you can also look at so jewelry,” Sang Nanfeng said with a smile, satisfied when he saw the well-behaved and beaming Qiaoqiao.

“Okay,” Sang Qiao nodded, feeling a bit of a headache. The word “clothes” reminded her of the sparse clothing she had seen in the dressing room that morning; the styles were not what she would usually wear subconsciously, and she felt as though there was sothing she had deliberately forgotten.

“I’ll go get your things,” Sang Siyang said after swallowing the egg in his mouth.

Although the other two did not make a sound, their intentions were clear; they also wanted to go.

“Go ahead, I won’t join in the fun. I’ll wait at ho for your return.”

Mr. Sang Senior laughed, having not seen the siblings getting along harmoniously in a long ti.

“I’ll pick out so clothes for Grandpa too.”

“That’s great, Qiaoqiao is so thoughtful.”

“I want so too,” Sang Nanfeng shalessly piped up, staring straight at Sang Qiao with a pitiful expression.

The fists of Sang Shen and the other two brothers tightened. They disliked their eldest brother’s shaless deanor and were envious that he could interact with Qiaoqiao as if nothing had ever happened.

They couldn’t do that; they would always rember that they were making ands, never daring to ask Qiaoqiao for anything.

“Got it, I’ll buy for everyone,” Sang Qiao promptly agreed.

After the al, they all got into the cars and headed towards the mall. Sang Qingran drove, with Sang Shen squeezed into the passenger seat, while Sang Nanfeng and Sang Siyang managed to get into the back seats.

“Qiaoqiao, whatever you want to buy, use my card,” Sang Nanfeng said, struggling a bit to pass his card over to Sang Qiao, with Sang Siyang sandwiched in between them.

Sang Siyang deliberately leaned forward to prevent his elder brother’s card from reaching successfully, then took out his own card. “Big brother’s company is almost bankrupt; use mine.”

“What bankruptcy? Siyang, what nonsense are you talking about?” Sang Nanfeng said with a darkened face.

If it weren’t for Sang Siyang who insisted on squeezing in the middle and being in the way, he could be happily chatting with Qiaoqiao by now.

“It’s all over the internet. You’ve been away from the company every day, and the situation of Starlight Entertainnt isn’t looking too good.”

Sang Siyang said this casually, careless in his supervision and having given all the influencer celebrities to Dad and Lu Jiao’s company; it would be weird if things were fine.

“Big brother, if the company is having trouble, you should get busy. It’s okay if you accompany shopping next ti.”

Sang Qiao looked seriously at Sang Nanfeng, her eyes filled with concern.
