Chapter 278: Chapter 278: I Just Fell and Everyone Loves ?
“In childhood, the eldest brother had the most authority among the three of us, so it’s normal that Qiaoqiao was closer to him,” Sang Siyang didn’t find it strange.
“That makes sense,” Sang Shen sighed, feeling discontent inside, given that the eldest brother had previously engaged in such despicable behavior.
In the hospital room
Chenli was adjusting the pillow behind Sang Qiao, allowing her to lean against it and watch TV.
“I want so fruit,” Sang Qiao said, looking at the strawberries on the table.
“I’ll go wash them for you,” the man said gently, without hesitation, picking up the bag of strawberries and heading to the restroom.
“Mhm,” Sang Qiao nodded her little head, watching the TV drama intently.
Not until Chenli returned with the washed strawberries did she glance up; the man sat beside her, smiling, and fed her a strawberry.
Sang Qiao opened her mouth to chew on the strawberries, unembarrassed and enjoying being fed by Chenli.
It seed like nothing had changed between them, they even seed closer, but… Qiaoqiao no longer ntioned marriage.
When the TV suddenly switched to advertisents, Sang Qiao turned to look at the man, realizing he had been feeding her continuously, she took a strawberry and stuffed it into his mouth.
“You eat too.”
“Mhm,” Chenli’s lips brushed past her palm, watching her with a faint smile.
As they were getting along very well, Mr. Sang Senior walked into the hospital room, holding a discharge form in his hand.
“Qiaoqiao, the doctor said you can be discharged now, you can go ho with Xiao Li directly, and you both can decide whether to get the license now or tomorrow; we’ll discuss the wedding date later.”
Sang Qiao was shocked; she couldn’t understand why her dearest grandfather seed to be rushing her.
“Why get the license? I don’t want to go ho with Ah Li, I want to live with my brother.”
Mr. Sang Senior was also stunned. Although Qiaoqiao had grown closer to a few scoundrels these past days, but… living under the sa roof as those scoundrels?
Chenli, holding the bag of strawberries, paused; his little girl was close yet distant to him.
“Grandpa, are you finding annoying, always urging to marry Ah Li?”
Sang Qiao looked up at her grandfather, her eyes moist, making her look very pitiable.
Mr. Sang Senior, despite his tender heart, knew that this was due to a disorder in Qiaoqiao’s mory.
“Of course not, Qiaoqiao, listen to first. You hit your head this ti, and things are jumbled up. You aren’t that close to your brothers, but if nothing had happened that day, your wedding with Xiao Li would have been completed.”
“…If I hadn’t fallen from the slide the wedding would have been finished? But I’m only eighteen now, I can’t get the license,” Sang Qiao widened her eyes, confused and surprised.
It seed she couldn’t comprehend how just waking up from a fall ant the whole world was telling her her mory was wrong.
“Qiaoqiao, you… you’re twenty-two, and it wasn’t from falling off a slide; it was because Nanfeng didn’t want you to marry Xiao Li. He took you out to hide, and in your anxiousness, you jumped from the car, that’s how you fell… he… he’s a scoundrel!”
Mr. Sang Senior had considered Qiaoqiao’s physical weakness a few days back, realizing these revelations could be distressing.
But now that her body had recovered, he couldn’t keep hiding it from her; she eventually needed to know the truth.
“Why would I jump from a car if my big brother didn’t want to marry? I could just wait until the car stopped to co back,” Sang Qiao’s tone grew more self-doubting.
“Uh…” Mr. Sang Senior was montarily silent, as he hadn’t yet inquired about the details from that scoundrel.
Unable to persuade her grandfather, Sang Qiao could only look at the silent man beside her, her voice soft and gentle, “I want to go ho to stay, Ah Li, do you agree?”
Her tone wasn’t deliberately coquettish, yet it made him surrender completely, “Agreed, let Qiaoqiao go ho if she wants to.”
“Ah Li is the best.” Sang Qiao instantly bead with joy, slipping her hand out from under the blanket and quietly placing it into his palm.
Si Chenli couldn’t help but smile too, tightening his grip on her hand.
Mr. Sang Senior watched the two interact openly in front of him, feeling as though he was the villain.
In the end, Sang Qiao followed Mr. Sang Senior back to the Sang Mansion. Si Chenli had abandoned his company duties for several days and arranged for two bodyguards to follow Sang Qiao back for protection, then headed to the office himself.
After Sang Qiao and Mr. Sang Senior settled in the back seat, Sang Nanfeng quickly took the passenger seat.
The scramble for the last remaining seat in the back began among Sang Shen and others.
Three people pushed and shoved at the crowded car door, and ultimately, Sang Shen was shoved to the ground, while Sang Siyang took the opportunity and jumped into the car, closing the door.
“Damn!” Sang Shen could only roar in frustration.
Sang Qingran quickly ca to terms with not getting a seat and briskly walked to another empty car to sit.

Sang Mansion
Mrs. Sang had secretly been making soup for her sons to take to Qiaoqiao to help her recover, but she’d never dared to visit Qiaoqiao at the hospital, not knowing what role she played in Qiaoqiao’s muddled mories.
Moreover, with Si Chenli always present in the hospital room, she had no opportunity to speak to Qiaoqiao.
Now, hearing that Qiaoqiao was being discharged and was coming ho to stay, she knew she could no longer hold back.
Mrs. Sang sat with her hands on her knees, extrely nervous, and finally, multiple sets of footsteps approached the door.
She stood subconsciously and saw her husband and Qiaoqiao walking in arm in arm.
“Dad, Qiaoqiao…”
Sang Qiao stopped in her tracks, seemingly surprised to see Mrs. Sang.
Everyone thought she didn’t recognize Mrs. Sang, especially since Mrs. Sang hadn’t left her with any pleasant mories in the past.
Mr. Sang Senior took the initiative to introduce her, “Qiaoqiao, this is your mom. Do you rember her? Though she wasn’t kind to you before.”
“I know, but why is she here? Didn’t she hate , telling to get out of the Sang family and never appear before her again?” Sang Qiao whispered these questions into Mr. Sang Senior’s ear.
However, the living room was so small that her voice, however quiet, clearly reached Mrs. Sang’s ears.
Mrs. Sang didn’t see any coldness in Sang Qiao’s eyes, only confusion, and she choked up, “Qiaoqiao, my mind was not right before. I’ve seen a doctor and taken dication…”
Sang Qiao was sowhat at a loss facing this new side of Mrs. Sang, whose kindness was sothing she never experienced in her mories. Her silence in those monts undoubtedly signified her reluctance to engage with Mrs. Sang.
Mr. Sang Senior sighed, “Let’s have dinner first. Qiaoqiao needs to recuperate.”
“I want to eat shrimp.” Sang Qiao’s gaze also shifted away from Mrs. Sang.
“I’ve already had the kitchen prepare it,” Mr. Sang Senior said with a tender smile, knowing his granddaughter’s preferences and had already sent a ssage to prepare it on their way ho.
