Chapter 186: Chapter 186: Are You Blessing with Good Health and No Pain, Right?

ng Jiahe was numb all over when she stumbled and rolled down the stairs early in the morning.

Lately, she couldn’t help but feel that she was in a period of misfortune, as one bad thing after another kept happening.

As Sang Qiao had his driver take her to the hospital, her leg hurt so much that cold sweat broke out on her forehead, and she even felt a bit desperate.

“We’ll be there soon, just hang in there,” Sang Qiao could only comfort her.

“…Okay,” ng Jiahe gritted her teeth in response.

When they arrived at the hospital entrance, a nurse brought over a bed, gently moved her onto it, and pushed her upstairs for imaging and the like.

Sang Qingran walked out from inside, caught a glance of Sang Qiao sitting on a bench, and couldn’t help but scoff mockingly.

“You really are consistent in playing your sches, not hesitating to let soone get hurt just to parade them in front of for your purposes. How disgusting.”

“How is she?” Sang Qiao did not heed his sarcasm and remained composed.

“You’re asking about the injury you caused her? Shouldn’t you know best? She’s been your friend since childhood, doesn’t it bother your conscience to use her? Or is it that you only want everyone to grovel at your feet like dogs?”

Sang Qingran rembered ng Jiahe’s ankle, swollen like a bun, and felt his disgust for Sang Qiao deepening.

Ever since childhood, her timid calls of ‘brother’ were only because she was disliked by their parents and wanted a place in that ho.

It was all manipulation.

His hands unconsciously clenched into fists.

“Here, you’re a doctor, so don’t talk about things unrelated to the patient’s condition. If Dr. Sang can’t understand the condition, then we should find soone else.”

Sang Qiao looked up at him briefly, his gaze cold and indifferent, devoid of any intention to reminisce.

For the first ti, Sang Qingran felt provoked, and he couldn’t help but laugh, realizing that his forced indifference was still no match for Sang Qiao’s natural performance.

“It’s just a sprain, she’ll recover with so rest.” He strode away, forcibly suppressing the discomfort in his heart.

Sang Qingran feared that if he stayed any longer, he would lose control of his emotions and demand an apology or recognition of fault which was sothing that could not resolve the issues between them.

When ng Jiahe was wheeled out, her leg was wrapped in a thick bandage, and she felt like she could die. Sang Qingran had just warned her, and now she appeared in front of him again.

It seed like the more she didn’t want to see soone, the more fate would have them et.

Especially when she saw Sang Qingran’s cold gaze, she simply closed her eyes in resignation, knowing explanations would be futile.

“Qiaoqiao, you go to the office. I didn’t finish handing over yesterday’s work, and it looks like I’ll be spending quite a while in the hospital.”

“It’s okay, I’ll have your assistant coordinate with soone else, just focus on recovering.”

“I… I don’t know what happened this morning; I just missed a step. It has nothing to do with your ho’s flooring. Tell Xiao’an not to change the tiles, I quite like this pattern.”

ng Jiahe looked uneasily at Sang Qiao after grappling with herself. That morning when she fell, it had greatly startled Xiao’an, who kept apologizing, blaming the choice of slippery tiles, and saying he planned to ask Sang Qiao to replace them.

She knew Xiao’an was apologizing out of concern that she might hold him accountable, but she wasn’t unreasonable. Since it was her own fall, she definitely wouldn’t pursue it.

Sang Qiao: “…”

After taking care of her in the hospital for a while, Sang Qiao arranged for a caregiver for her and then headed to the office.

Mrs. ng didn’t know where she had heard the news, but she rushed to the hospital and saw her daughter in such a state, her eyes imdiately reddened.

“How did you manage this? A perfectly good leg is now like this; it won’t look nice in a skirt during sumr.”

“It’s okay, it won’t have any lasting effects,” ng Jiahe responded nonchalantly.

“That’s good to hear. Why didn’t you call to tell ?” Mrs. ng, sitting by the bedside, was genuinely heartbroken and had forgotten about their argunt a few days ago.

“It’s just a small wound; it will heal soon.” ng Jiahe knew all too well that if she had been the one to call, her mom would have thought she was making a big deal out of nothing.

“I’ll go ho and stew so bone soup for you; just rest well.” Mrs. ng couldn’t do anything now and knew she couldn’t persuade her daughter, so she decided not to say more.

If it weren’t for her stopping by to see a friend today and a familiar doctor informing her, she would have never known about her daughter’s accident.

Not long after Mrs. ng had left, a tall figure appeared at the door, still wearing his white lab coat.

“Is this worth it? Just to help Sang Qiao keep showing up before … what does she really want from ? Is it my deep regret, or does she want to love you and then cruelly abandon you?”

Dr. Sang paused at the words “I love you.” ng Jiahe’s ears softened as though she really had been confessed to, and she unconsciously clenched the sheet beneath her fingers.

“No, I fell by myself, whether you believe it or not. I don’t know why you still harbor such malice towards Qiaoqiao, even imagining that the whole world wants to harm you. But I can tell you clearly, Qiaoqiao has never ntioned you to .”

“You trust her so much, yet you don’t realize she never considered you a friend. She chose you as a child because no one else would play with her! And you, being the daughter the ng Family doesn’t acknowledge, just happened to suit her.”

Looking down at her, Dr. Sang felt they were similar.

Both tragic, both unacknowledged, both being used.

“Rather than saying she chose , it was a mutual choice. If she hadn’t chosen , no one else would have.”

“You are truly earnest towards her, ng Jiahe. You better always keep this fervent heart, don’t let see you regret it; I will surely be the first to mock you.”

Dr. Sang felt it wasn’t worth it for her and strangely felt the sa about himself as he was never one to ddle, yet he couldn’t stand seeing ng Jiahe being foolish like this.

To hurt her leg like this, if it were a coincidence, so be it.

If it were because of him, that would be laughable.

“Dr. Sang, I also want to tell you, if one day you realize the misunderstanding between you and Qiaoqiao and deeply regret it, I will be the first to mock you.”

ng Jiahe wasn’t sure what she was feeling; this was the first ti she called him by his na in direct confrontation.

“There will never be such a day. In my life, I have never done anything wrong.”

Dr. Sang looked back at her.

“In my heart, Qiaoqiao can do no wrong either,” ng Jiahe responded, looking up at him.

“I hope you never appear in front of again.” Dr. Sang walked away decisively this ti, without stopping.

“Thank you for your blessing,” ng Jiahe whispered softly, unaware of the kindness in his words as a doctor saying, “never appear in front of again.”

It was a blessing for her to always be free from illness and pain.

Even if it wasn’t, that was how she chose to understand it.

She considered it as if Dr. Sang had confessed to her and had been kind to her. It was the love that they could not express because they stood on opposing sides.

Not just because she was Sang Qiao who would never forgive Dr. Sang, but also because Dr. Sang hated Sang Qiao.
