Chapter 148: Chapter 148: Sang Qingran: You Got Drunk and Deceived into Transferring Shares

“You want to know?” The man’s deep eyes lowered as he looked at her, lazily asking.

His sharp features were handso, his thin lips carried a faint smile that was hard to decipher.

“I don’t think so, you’re quite fierce,” Sang Qiao turned away, involuntarily recalling the scenes of Si Chenli always looking sullen.

If it weren’t for spending so much ti together day and night, she might have thought he was a man prone to dostic violence.

Thinking this, her red lips couldn’t help but curl upward.

“How am I fierce?” Si Chenli furrowed his brows, was he really that fierce in the little girl’s heart?

“First impressions, but now you seem quite gentle.”

“Hm, then let’s get back to the topic of henpecked husbands,” the man’s eyebrows smoothed out in an instant.

Sang Qiao: “…!”

She should never have brought up that topic!

Ultimately, on the way back, Sang Qiao for the first ti discovered that Si Chenli could also be quite talkative, revolving around that very topic.

The final answer Sang Qiao gave, naturally, was that she believed he was also henpecked and that put the topic to rest.

This ti, Si Chenli didn’t even bother to find an excuse, straightforwardly declaring driving too tiring, and stayed the night once more.

The entire villa’s servants almost all knew of Si Chenli’s identity as Sister Qiao’s boyfriend!

The chef and bodyguards, hearing of his arrival, directly avoided him, afraid of being set up on a blind date again.

The sight of the two heading upstairs left the crowd of servants not at ease, “He is the boyfriend not the husband, do you think that man might have improper designs on our Sister Qiao?”

“I think it’s possible, after all, Sister Qiao is so beautiful.”

“Everyone is overthinking it; not to ntion Mr. Si’s integrity, just look at the four big guys at the door,” Xiao’an stepped forward.

The few servants turned to look outside the door and felt it made a lot of sense, even if Mr. Si had any ideas, he would have to weigh whether he could outfight the big guys.

So, the four of them dispersed in relief, heading back to their rooms to sleep.

The bodyguard looked down at his sturdy abs, “?” Them? Big guys?

The next day, early morning

The chef prepared breakfast, covered it with a thermal layer, and then swiftly absconded, only in their own rooms did they feel secure during the days that Sister Qiao’s boyfriend was present.

The four bodyguards dared not let their gazes wander, afraid that a careless look might call the attention of Mr. Si.

After breakfast, Si Chenli drove her to the company.

Watching the young girl get out of the car and walk into the building, he took out his phone from his pocket and called his assistant.

“Keep an eye on Sang Jiao, make her return those shares,” he said.

“Yes, Mr. Si.”

After ending the call, he then drove the car out of the parking lot.

Ever since Sang Jiao entered the Sang Family and held real power, she didn’t even want to pretend anymore.

Facing the accusations from the Sang Family, she no longer conceded, her grip on the shares was firm, and she refused to agree to relinquish them.

Just as she was basking in the joy of holding real power, Mrs. Sang ca up beside her.

“Jiaojiao, you’re at the company all day and there’s no one at ho to keep company; I feel so lonely. Since you’re a shareholder, can’t you just stay at ho and manage your share of the profits?”

“Si Yang has already started working at the company; I’m afraid he wants to drive out. So, Mom, I can’t just enjoy the present at ho; I need to think about our better life in the future.”

Despite her impatience, Sang Jiao still patiently soothed Mrs. Sang’s emotions.

How could she be content with just receiving dividends? Now that she was the largest shareholder, once she replaced Mr. Sang, she could confidently kick Mrs. Sang to the curb.

“In that case… how much longer will it take?” Mrs. Sang’s eyes looked sowhat helpless.

“It should be soon, Mom. I don’t have enough liquid assets in my hands. I miss out on good opportunities every ti. Look at , rambling about unimportant things. If it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out.”

Sang Jiao deliberately brought up the matter, then seed to back off from finishing her point. She knew all too well Mrs. Sang’s temperant; the more she did this, the more Mrs. Sang would inquire.

Sure enough, Mrs. Sang grasped her hand the next second, “Jiaojiao, what is there that we can’t talk about between us? It’s just that I don’t have that much money on hand right now. Is there any other way?”

“There is. You just need to be my guarantor because, with Mrs. Sang’s identity, others will trust you. It’s just that this might lower your status.”

Sang Jiao seized the opportunity to say it, then did not forget to consider Mrs. Sang’s dignity.

You see, Mrs. Sang never used to have to worry about money – just with the dividends, the support from her four sons, and the money Mr. Sang gave her was enough for her to squander.

“Losing status is not the issue. Helping you secure projects is what’s most important. Let’s settle it then; take with you, and I’ll be your guarantor.”

Right now, Mrs. Sang’s only hope was for Jiaojiao to secure her footing in the Sang Family business as soon as possible, so that in the future she would have more ti to accompany her.

“Okay, thank you for your trust, Mom. I definitely won’t let you down!”

“Just do your best, and don’t overexert yourself.”

“Mm-hmm.”

After the talk, Sang Jiao took Mrs. Sang to fill out so information, sign her na, and make copies of her ID.

Mrs. Sang didn’t pay much attention to what was written on those contracts; she had a lot of trust in Sang Jiao.

Unbeknownst to them, a tall figure stood outside the backdoor, witnessing the entire scene.

Once they completed the paperwork and returned, Sang Jiao told Mrs. Sang to head ho on her own, as she needed to rush to a project negotiation.

Mrs. Sang complied, her heart sinking with indescribable desolation as she went on her way ho.

She had never felt so alone as she did now, not even in the past. Mrs. Sang Senior used to keep her company, Mr. Sang dearly loved her, and then when the children ca along Mr. Sang changed his attitude.

At least she had her four children for company, until the year Sang Qiao was born and everything turned upside down.

Mrs. Sang Senior died, Mr. Sang Senior was laid low, the Sang Family business faced a crisis, and Mr. Sang was too busy with the company to have ti for her – she could understand all that.

But what she couldn’t accept was Mr. Sang often going out to drink with other won, coming ho late into the night without an explanation.

Mrs. Sang’s resentnt towards Mr. Sang grew, as did her dislike of this child who tornted her with nightly crying.

One ti, in a fit of rage, she even thought of strangling Sang Qiao to death, because the crying was too noisy. However, Sang Nanfeng saw this and stopped her. After that, she was much relieved; she didn’t have to take care of Sang Qiao anymore, mainly because Mr. Sang Senior didn’t trust her to.

As Sang Qiao grew older, the crying beca less frequent, but Mrs. Sang still detested the child.

Mrs. Sang felt tornted day and night, unsure of the aning of life, until Master arrived. Later on, when Jiaojiao was adopted, things started to improve.

If Sang Qiao had never returned to the country, her peaceful life would never have been shattered.

In the end, it was Sang Qiao’s return that destroyed her happy and fulfilling family life.

Before she knew it, Mrs. Sang had arrived at the front door. Seeing her third son standing outside, she felt a bit guilty, “Qingran? Aren’t you supposed to be at work today?”

“Mom, that day you got drunk, and tricked into transferring my shares to Jiaojiao.” Sang Qingran’s tone was certain; it wasn’t a question.
