The door opened quickly and smoothly this ti, and the mont Florence Fuller pushed it open, her eyes were t with the sight of two bare bodies.

"Ah!" The woman locked eyes with Florence and hurriedly hid.

Florence: "..."

Ethan Harper quickly pulled her out and shut the door, and Florence touched her face, not daring to look at him.

The two stood facing each other in silence for a while. Florence touched her face again, "Well... I didn’t know it was like this when I moved in."

Ethan: "Pack your things and move out imdiately."

His usually gentle face had turned cold, and Florence nodded, "Move move move."

After waiting for a while, Florence and Ethan went back in; the living room had returned to its original state, but the air still carried an indescribable scent.

Florence glanced at Ethan’s expression.

Ethan’s face remained calm, but his brow was slightly furrowed.

Opening the room door, the cramped space made Ethan freeze for a mont. The room had a small wardrobe, a bed, a table, and not many personal belongings; it was easy to pack everything up.

With everything packed, Florence sat by the bed, looking at Ethan, who was still silent: "What’s wrong? Disdainful of where I live?"

From the mont they entered, Ethan hadn’t said a word, and his furrowed brow hadn’t relaxed.

"No." Ethan looked at her, "No."

Florence looked at him.

Ethan squatted down in front of her, "I’ve been thinking, if I had listened to you and ca to find you earlier, maybe things wouldn’t have turned out like this."

"But maybe it’s not that bad." Florence held his hand, "Aunt Monrose said, people are forged through experience."

Ethan could provide Florence with enough good conditions to live well, but now she had taken this step herself, and she didn’t think it was bad.

"I was thinking on the way here too." Florence raised her eyebrows, "I won’t move back to the Monrose Family; I’ll visit Aunt Monrose when I can. As for where to live, I’ll find a new place. I’ll continue working part-ti at the café, and I need to study well. Ethan, I don’t want to beco soone who’s useless."

Growing up carefree in the Shaw Family, Florence had never thought about what she would beco in the future, but since returning to the Fuller Family, she felt she had seen a lot.

Clara Fuller seed to live a glamorous life and never lacked money from the Fuller Family, but aside from that, her academic performance was average, and her piano playing was only diocre despite learning it for so long. If she didn’t have the Fuller Family backing her, could she still live like this?

Florence didn’t know if Clara could, but Florence was sure that she absolutely couldn’t beco soone like her.

Clara might have the Fuller Family as her safety net in the future, but Florence felt the Fuller Family wouldn’t treat her like Clara after all she’d been through since coming back.

Then there’s Laura Yates, who seed to be in a position of the mistress in the Fuller Family. However, in front of Michael Fuller, she always seed unable to hold her head high and could only be submissive in front of him.

Then she t Abigail Monrose and Ethan Harper.

Abigail was gentle, beautiful, and had her own career. Respected by teachers and students at school, Florence later learned she was a famous painter abroad, with her own gallery in France. Florence even saw people travel from afar to visit the Monrose Family to pay their respects to her.

At that ti, Florence thought it would be great if she could be like Abigail in the future.

She first saw Ethan sitting in a wheelchair. Later, Abigail privately told her that Ethan’s leg had been injured in a man-made car accident and that surviving was a miracle. Doctors said he might never stand again, but he refused to accept this.

Surgery after surgery led to a sliver of hope, and then ca arduous rehabilitation.

Florence had secretly seen Ethan’s rehabilitation once. It happened when she first arrived at the Monrose Family and wasn’t familiar with the place. She was looking for Abigail and inadvertently stumbled upon Ethan’s rehab room. The door was ajar, and what she saw was Ethan collapsing on the floor, large sweat droplets falling onto the ground. He refused the doctor’s help, struggling to pull himself up using a railing.

She quickly left after seeing that.

No one wants others to see them in such a vulnerable state, yet Ethan slowly improved under these circumstances.

Moreover, this man seed to achieve anything effortlessly; her problems were solved without a blink, reading docunts in languages she didn’t understand, talking on the phone with a serious deanor and speaking languages she couldn’t follow, all while being gentle and noble.

This aspect of him was very similar to Abigail.

And although he hardly stepped outside the Monrose Family house, Florence never saw him waste any ti.

Ethan looked deeply at her and blinked, "Okay, I’ll listen to you."

He respected all of her choices.

"But I ask you," he held her hands in his palms, "if there’s sothing you can’t handle, please co to for help."

"Of course."

Florence answered.

The room door was knocked on, and the two exchanged a glance before Ethan went to open the door.

A woman with disheveled hair wearing a bathrobe appeared, and Florence was surprised she’d co over, her tone slightly stiff, "What are you doing here."

"Uh..." The woman looked embarrassed, her eyes darting between Ethan and Florence, "My boyfriend recently moved in with ; we might have been... you know... sorry about that."

Florence didn’t know what to say, returning a stiff and polite fake smile, "Okay, you can leave now."

The woman glanced at Ethan and said to Florence, "Is he your boyfriend? Didn’t that guy from school, Tang sothing, chase after you?"

Florence inferred from her words that they must be schoolmates.

Florence stood up, "I said, you can leave now."

The woman chuckled dryly twice, "Wait a mont, okay?"

Florence was unclear on her intentions, but the woman moved quickly, and as Ethan gathered his things, Florence and she were prepared to leave. The woman asked, "Are you moving out?"

Realizing it was likely because of her earlier incident, the woman smiled, directly stuffing a bag into Florence’s arms: "It’s a small business. If you like it, you can contact ; my friend and I have an online shop."

Florence glanced at it; it had packaging, and she wasn’t sure what it was, so she took it out to look.

Seeing the words "adult toys" on the label made her face turn bright red as she tossed the item back into the bag like a hot potato, returned it to the woman, and pulled Ethan away.

"Hey, I also sell clothes. If you’re interested, I’ll give you a discount!"

Even after reaching downstairs, Florence’s face was still burning.
