Chapter 223: The New Shareholder
The Wu Corporation’s issuing of additional shares caused Wu i’s shares to be diluted to two-thirds of the original shares and she lost the right to make decisions with less than 8% of shares.
Furious, Wu i rushed to the Corporation to attend the shareholders’ eting with Mother Wu. With a murderous aura, she pushed open the door and barged in, interrupting Wu Pang’s nonsense.
“Issuing additional shares requires the approval of more than half of the shareholders. If you increase the number of shares as you please, I have the right to question and seek compensation…”
Wu i slamd the conference table. Unable to control her emotions, she confronted Wu Pang.
However, Wu Pang raised his hand to signal her to be rational. He took out a few letters of intent from beside him and said, “You can take a closer look. I’m doing everything according to the procedure. These are the letters of intent for ten shareholders. It’s slightly more than the half that you requested!”
“Coincidentally, all the shareholders are here. If you don’t believe , you can ask them in person.”
Wu i flipped through the letters one by one. When she saw the signatures with the red oil seal on them, she frowned in disbelief and stared at all of them.
Disappointnt, anger, and even betrayal overwheld her at that mont. Wu i clenched her fists and looked around. Her lips curled up into a sneer as she questioned in a low and hoarse voice, “Do you know what issuing additional shares ans?”
“This ans that all the shareholders’ assets will be diluted!”
Many shareholders hung their heads in sha. However, they had taken benefits from Wu Pang after all, so they could only respond with silence.
Disappointed, Wu i took two deep breaths, before seating back down in the Vice-president seat and narrowed her eyes as she pondered over a solution.
“Aren’t you exaggerating a little?!”
“Are the shareholders stupid? They won’t do anything to harm their own interests. You’re the one who’s too nervous!”
Wu Pang stared at Wu i derisively and said, “You just want to control and hinder the developnt of the Wu Corporation. Wu i, don’t you think you’re despicable?”
When Mother Wu heard him accuse her daughter, she wanted to refute him. However, Wu i gently squeezed her hand under the conference table, indicating that she should not get involved.
The eting room was so quiet that the sound of swallowing could be heard clearly. One of the shareholders couldn’t sit still and persuaded Wu i, “Little President Wu, don’t bother about the company’s matters. Just focus on collecting the year-end bonus at ho! Although President Wu has made many wrong decisions in the past, he’s still the old President of the Corporation.”
“He made many decisions for the company. If you continue to cause trouble, the employees will be the ones who suffer!”
The shareholders exchanged glances with each other. They nodded and echoed, “There’s a lot of discussion about the Wu Corporation outside. Everyone is saying that we can’t hold on anymore.”
“Many colleagues from the sales departnt and the marketing departnt have already started submitting resus outside!”
“If the higher-ups can’t reach an agreent, the company will collapse sooner or later. At that ti, the losses will definitely be worse.”
Listening to their persuasion, Wu i understood that Wu Pang must have bribed them through so underhanded ans.
Wu Pang grinned smugly. He looked at Wu i arrogantly, as if silently questioning her about what else she could do.
Gritting her teeth, Wu i wanted to retort. However, the door of the eting room was pushed open from the outside. Dressed in a capable and smart white suit, Mo Li was accompanied by her assistant and secretary as she took the seat opposite Wu i. Under the surprised gazes of everyoneShe smiled and introduced herself as she said, “Am I late?”
“I’m sorry, I’m Mo Li, the new shareholder of the Wu Corporation.”
