When Jasmine Tanner was found, she was gagged and bound hand and foot, locked in her small room.
Seeing that soone had finally co, she anxiously struggled and whimpered, her eyes already red from crying.
As soon as she was freed, she imdiately cried out in panic, "Hurry!"
"My dad is helping Madam escape from the Grant Family, you must stop him—"
Everyone exchanged glances, not daring to delay, and imdiately took Jasmine Tanner to the garden.
Seeing the fire in the attic, now gradually being controlled, with thick smoke billowing out, Jasmine turned pale.
When she was hurriedly brought before Theodore Grant, before he could question her, she collapsed to her knees and blurted everything out.
"Old Madam, Master, it must be my dad who did it, it must be him—"
"All of this is my fault, it’s all my fault."
Old Madam Grant was so angry she kept hitting the armrest of her wheelchair, furious, she asked, "How is this related to you again?"
"Why don’t you hurry up and speak!!"
Jasmine wiped the frightened tears from her face and tremblingly explained, "This matter, it has to start with Miss Sinclair."
"Old Madam, Master, Miss Sinclair actually never went abroad!"
"A couple of days ago, I got her call—she asked to send sothing to her at the hotel."
"When I rushed over, Miss Sinclair was already drunk."
"She, she threatened not to tell the family that she hadn’t left, saying if I leaked it out, she would make it impossible for to stay in school."
"I really wanted to continue my studies and just thought Miss Sinclair didn’t want to go abroad, so I didn’t co back and tell you all."
"But who knew, this morning she suddenly left the hotel and went straight to the Spencer Family."
"She told to call her at five in the evening, and if there was no news, I should report to the police to rescue her from the Spencer Family."
Hearing this, both Old Madam Grant and Theodore Grant were completely shocked.
Was this really related to Gia Grant?
What surprised them even more was that Gia Grant didn’t leave the country but actually went to the Spencer Family?
Old Madam Grant could hardly process what she was hearing, "Why did she go to the Spencer Family?"
"And wasn’t she already on the plane? How did she end up at a hotel?"
Theodore Grant: "She must have escaped right before takeoff. That rascal, how dare she pull off sothing like this!"
"As for the Spencer Family, as far as I know, they might be holding so secret ceremony today. Because they didn’t host guests, very few know the details."
Jasmine hesitated for a mont before explaining, "I think I overheard Miss Sinclair ntioning sothing about...an engagent banquet..."
"And she said that since she’s not doing well, no one else should have it good either."
Theodore Grant covered his face with one hand.
He knew better than anyone what kind of behavior his own daughter was capable of.
So indeed, this was sothing Gia Grant might do.
But Old Madam Grant was unaware of the inside story, "What did the Spencer Family do to offend her so badly that she had to do this?"
Theodore Grant’s face was ashen, unable to explain to his mother.
How could he admit that Gia Grant had caused a scandal with that Spencer ruffian in a hotel room all night?
Admitting it would be a slap in the face!
Luckily, only Gia Grant’s embarrassing antics were revealed, and her affair with Liam Spencer hadn’t made waves outside.
So afterward, Theodore Grant didn’t go to the Spencer Family at all, just wanting the matter to blow over quickly.
Who knew Gia Grant would shalessly go to the Spencer Family like this.
Theodore Grant took a deep breath and didn’t answer Old Madam Grant. He looked at Jasmine again and said, "Continue!"
He was beginning to realize that if Lillian Rivers set the fire and left the Grant Family, it was very likely because of this!
Indeed, Jasmine soon explained everything clearly from start to finish.
"Because I was instructed by Miss Sinclair to make the call, I was anxious, always feeling sothing was going to happen."
"So after I returned, I was restless, which my dad noticed."
"Dad pressed to find out what was going on, seeing that I couldn’t hide it any longer and fearing the worst, I intended to tell Old Madam and Master everything."
"But my dad...when he heard it was about Miss Sinclair, he imdiately locked in a room."
"Dad whipped with a belt until I was covered in welts; I couldn’t stand it and told him the truth that Miss Sinclair hadn’t gone abroad."
"Just then, it was already five o’clock."
"Under my dad’s watchful eye, I had to call Miss Sinclair’s number, but indeed...no one answered."
"I realized Miss Sinclair was in trouble and begged my dad to tell Old Madam and Master, and to call the police to the Spencer Family."
"But who would have thought, my dad said this was his true mont of loyalty to Madam, and he wanted to inform her first."
"I urged my dad not to act recklessly, as this matter was of grave importance, yet my dad tied up..."
"Locked in the room, I heard him outside making a call, ntioning helping Madam leave the Grant Family and going to the Spencer Family."
"It’s all my fault, for not telling you all about it from the start."
Jasmine cried until she nearly passed out, and to prove she was telling the truth, she revealed her arms, showing everyone the shocking welts from the belt.
Seeing and hearing all this left Old Madam Grant even more furious.
"Such audacity!"
"Is Lillian Rivers insane?"
"Even if her daughter went to the Spencer Family causing trouble, and she was worried, why didn’t she discuss it with us and instead chose to set a fire and escape!?"
"Her reckless and malignant actions deserve severe punishnt!"
"Did she not think of the consequences? If the entire house were burned down, how much property would be lost, and how many people could perish? Did she consider that?"
"This ti, I will not spare her!"
No one knew why Lillian Rivers would choose such a course of action.
Theodore Grant couldn’t understand it either!
At this mont, his expression was so dark and terrifying, like a demon, that everyone could sense his boiling anger.
He ordered, "Let’s go to the Spencer Family!"
Old Madam Grant couldn’t sit still and insisted on going along.
As for the fire at ho, it had already been extinguished.
The two entrusted Vivian Sinclair to stay behind and take charge.
Uncle Denton assisted her from the side.
Vivian Sinclair watched them leave with a worried expression and did her best to clean up the aftermath.
Eventually, she was so exhausted that Uncle Denton couldn’t bear it and told her to rest.
"Young Madam, leave the rest to , please rest."
Vivian Sinclair didn’t refuse, speaking with a pale face, "Thank you very much."
Uncle Denton watched her head to the small villa, feeling relieved before continuing to oversee the remaining work. It wasn’t until he finished that he rembered, "Where’s Jasmine?"
"Let soone bring her so dicine quickly."
"That poor girl, Old Tanner never knows when to hold back!"
But when other servants went to Jasmine’s room, she was nowhere to be found.
"Where did that girl go?"
Uncle Denton suddenly felt a sense of unease.
He couldn’t shake the feeling that there had been too much happening today and it was too chaotic.
He instructed everyone to find Jasmine imdiately.
Soon, news ca from the gatekeeper that Jasmine had left half an hour ago.
"What was she doing out so late?"
The gatekeeper: "I don’t know. I asked her, but she ignored ."
"She kept her head down and walked hurriedly."
Uncle Denton felt sothing was off.
He then asked, "What about the Young Madam? Is she asleep?"
The person managing the small villa replied, "The lights in the Young Madam’s room went out half an hour ago."
"It’s fortunate the Young Madam is staying in the small villa, otherwise she would have been startled tonight."
As long as the Young Madam was alright, everyone felt at ease.
Uncle Denton didn’t concern himself with Jasmine’s matter anymore.
However, at that mont, Vivian Sinclair was not in the small villa at all.
She had already taken a taxi, distancing herself further and further from the Grant family’s old estate.
anwhile, in her room, lying in bed pretending to be her, was none other than Jasmine Tanner, whom everyone thought had left the Grant family.
Jasmine Tanner was curled up under the covers, texting Vivian Sinclair: "Vivian, everything’s stable here."
"At least until tomorrow morning, no one will discover you’ve left."
Vivian Sinclair: "How are you? Did you apply the dicine I gave you?"
"Jasmine, I’m really sorry. I just wanted you to pass this ssage to your father to influence his decision, not expecting you’d get hit."
Jasmine: "Hehe, Vivian, did I fool you too?"
"He really did hit twice, but it was only twice."
"The rest I painted on myself."
"If I didn’t make it look worse, how could I fool the Old Madam and the others?"
"Don’t worry, I’m tough. It didn’t hurt! If it weren’t for you, Vivian, I wouldn’t know how many more tis dad would hit ."
Vivian Sinclair: "What your dad did this ti, if the Grant family really pursued it, he could very well be pushed by Lillian Rivers to take the bla and go to jail. Are you sure you don’t regret helping ?"
Jasmine took a long ti to respond to this: "Following you, Vivian, I have no regrets."
"If it wasn’t for you, I’d already have been married off by my mom to so greasy, potbellied nouveau riche, maybe even soone older than dad."
"No matter who it was, as long as my dad could get a dowry, he would agree."
"So, if dad went to jail, I wouldn’t feel any burden."
Vivian Sinclair dropped the subject.
Instead, she talked about how Jasmine could slip away the next morning. Jasmine: "Don’t worry."
"I’ll get up before dawn. There’s a dog hole by the side garden, they’ll never find out."
"By then, even if you disappear inexplicably, no one will know how you vanished."
Seeing the text, Vivian Sinclair slowly removed her hoodie and hat.
Because her build was sowhat similar to Jasmine’s.
Similar height, similar body type.
When dressed in loose clothing, even her belly wasn’t noticeable.
So Vivian Sinclair tucked her long hair under Jasmine’s usual hoodie, put on the hat, and disguised herself as Jasmine, quickly slipping past the gatekeeper who was busy watching the commotion.
After leaving, she got into a taxi and was already in the bustling city center of Ardis.
Vivian Sinclair once again felt like she had escaped and regained her freedom.
Once again, she returned to the world.
Vivian walked straight ho.
But just as she reached her doorstep, before she could open the door, she received a call from an unfamiliar number.
She didn’t hesitate to hang up imdiately.
However, the call persisted relentlessly.
After hanging up twice and seeing it wouldn’t stop, she finally picked up, "Hello?"
The voice on the other end was cold yet sowhat familiar, "Miss Sinclair, your vigilance is comndable."
"But I wonder if you’re interested in witnessing an interesting show tonight?"
