Sumr Dunn was filled with confusion: "After Dad woke up yesterday, I told him everything that had happened these days, and also told him about everything you did."
"I also clearly told him you suspect Caleb Crawford, and I asked Dad if Caleb Crawford is indeed the culprit who caused him to fall off.
"But Dad didn’t say anything, he said he would wait to see you before revealing the truth."
"Now, he clearly knew you were coming, yet he left. Vivian, I don’t understand why Dad would do this?"
Vivian Sinclair’s eyes darkened: "The professor is avoiding ."
"Or maybe he has sothing else to do by himself?"
Vivian found herself unable to resolve this matter.
She didn’t want to see the professor get into trouble either.
So she no longer persisted by herself and imdiately called Julian Thorne.
"Hello?"
The call was quickly answered, and Julian Thorne’s tone carried an obvious question: "My newlywed wife, miss her husband?"
Vivian looked at the person beside her and stepped aside: "Let’s talk seriously."
"Julian Thorne, I’m having a bit of trouble."
"Can you help track a taxi? Here’s the license plate number..."
When Julian finally heard his wife asking him for help, how could he refuse?
"I’ll have Leo Linden coordinate with you."
After hanging up, Leo Linden quickly called back himself.
"Madam, congratulations, congratulations. Congratulations to you and Master Julian on your marriage."
Vivian couldn’t help but retort: "Congratulations? You haven’t blocked ?"
Leo Linden whined softly: "Unjust accusation. Who made you have a husband who’s so jealous and possessive?"
"But you should still forgive him, seeing that he’s finally t soone dear to his heart at twenty-seven."
"Ahem, I’ll skip the nonsense. Since I received Master Julian’s order to contact you, I have to get this done, right?"
"I’ll go to the tech departnt now to track this car for you..."
Half a minute later, Leo Linden: "Found it."
"Looking at the direction of this car, it’s heading to Halefell District."
Halefell District?
Although they didn’t know exactly what the professor intended to do, now Vivian and the others had a direction.
The group quickly got into a car and headed directly to Halefell District.
After a long pursuit, Leo Linden saw that the car stopped at its destination, and Vivian heard a na all too familiar: Violet Orchid Pavilion.
Her expression turned peculiar, and even Sumr Dunn noticed the abnormality: "What’s wrong? Is there sothing strange about the place where Dad went?"
Vivian looked at Sumr Dunn: "Sumr, Violet Orchid Pavilion... is the neighborhood where I recently bought a property."
But whether this was a coincidence or if the professor went there on purpose, no one knew.
By the ti Vivian’s group arrived at Violet Orchid Pavilion, just after getting out of the car, they saw Tristan Dunn standing at the entrance, looking inside.
"Dad!"
"Dad!"
"Are you trying to scare to death?"
"Dad..."
"You just woke up and are running around. If sothing happens to you again, how am I supposed to live?"
"Boo hoo hoo..."
Sumr Dunn couldn’t hold back her tears anymore and collapsed, crying as she hugged her father.
Tristan Dunn hugged his daughter and looked up at Vivian Sinclair.
"Vivian, Caleb Crawford is no good."
"This neighborhood hides a big secret of his."
"If you want to bring him down, you have to uncover this secret."
"Child, it’s been hard on you."
After saying this, Tristan Dunn fainted.
Sumr Dunn scread in fear: "Dad—"
Vivian quickly called over Right and Left, and they carried Tristan into the car, and the group hurried back to the nursing ho.
Fortunately, Tristan Dunn passed out only due to fatigue, and his body was not seriously ill.
Vivian and Sumr Dunn waited for him to wake up again, but the strange thing was, Tristan forgot everything after waking up.
"You say I ran out of the nursing ho by myself?"
"And went to this Violet Orchid Pavilion neighborhood?"
"Impossible!"
"Absolutely impossible."
"You’re lying to , or why wouldn’t I know?"
Vivian’s heart sank, realizing sothing was wrong, and imdiately went outside.
When she returned, the entire dical team of the nursing ho followed her in.
The doctors surrounded Tristan, conducting a series of examinations.
The final conclusion was: "He seems to have Alzheir’s, commonly known as dentia. However, his blood values appear abnormal."
"Please give us two days, and we will provide you with a more accurate answer."
After sending off the doctors and returning to the room, Vivian heard Tristan chatting with Sumr Dunn: "Why did you co back on your own?"
"Where is Little Bao?"
"Little Bao’s father is so busy, why keep watching him? If things are really that unbearable, just get a divorce."
Looking up at Vivian again, Tristan ’hmphed’: "You still rember to visit ?"
"I thought you’d already forgotten about this old bag of bones!"
"Everyone gets married and loses themselves. Are these my daughter and my student?"
"Don’t say you have any relationship with outside!"
The elderly man was gnashing his teeth, looking deeply displeased with their choices.
Sumr Dunn followed Vivian Sinclair out, her face ashen.
"How could this happen?"
"Dad has forgotten everything."
"How he fell down the stairs, what happened before that, and even how he and I got back to Ardis together."
"But why did he suddenly go to the Violet Orchid Pavilion and say those things to you?"
"I really didn’t expect things to turn so bad all of a sudden! Otherwise, no matter what, I would have asked Dad for the truth last night!"
"Now we’ve finally waited for Dad to wake up, and it turns out he has Alzheir’s."
"He’s still so young, how could he have this disease?"
"Clearly, he was fine when he woke up last night, how did things turn like this all of a sudden..."
Sumr Dunn couldn’t accept the situation in front of her.
Her emotions collapsed several tis.
Vivian Sinclair comforted her, "Sumr, maybe it’s not as bad as we think."
"Let’s wait and see."
"Two days later, there might be another answer."
Sumr Dunn still had a bewildered and helpless expression on her face.
Vivian Sinclair nodded solemnly to her several tis, "Trust ."
"Things aren’t that bad."
Two days later.
Vivian Sinclair and Sumr Dunn arrived at the office together.
The doctor handed them a stack of reports.
"We have now diagnosed that Mr. Tristan Dunn is not suffering from Alzheir’s but is poisoned."
Sumr Dunn stood up from her seat in shock.
"Poi-poisoned?"
"My dad has been in the hospital, how could he be poisoned?"
"Doctor, are you sure?"
The doctor nodded, "Yes."
"Although it was hard to detect, we conducted several tests overnight and confird that the patient was indeed poisoned."
"This poison causes the patient to have mory confusion and errors."
"It appears to be symptoms similar to Alzheir’s but is actually slightly different, so it often gets confused and the cause isn’t discovered."
Vivian Sinclair seed much calr.
She took a few dried flowers wrapped in plastic out of her bag.
Then she handed them to the doctor, "Can you test if there’s anything wrong with these flowers?"
Seeing that she seed to know sothing, the doctor didn’t ask much and just put on gloves and took the flowers, "No problem."
After leaving the office, Sumr Dunn was sure Vivian Sinclair knew sothing.
She quickly grabbed Vivian and asked, "Vivian, were those flowers you gave to the doctor the cause of Dad’s poisoning?"
Vivian Sinclair: "I only suspect."
"But Sumr, do you know where these flowers ca from?"
Sumr Dunn’s face turned completely grim, "Caleb Crawford?"
"During Dad’s hospital stay, only he ca often to see Dad and brought a bouquet each ti."
"But how did you co to suspect him?"
Vivian Sinclair and Sumr Dunn walked to the garden.
Once there was no one around, Vivian spoke, "Rember the caregiver I hired for the teacher?"
"Once when I went to see the teacher, I t Caleb Crawford. At that ti, I had so suspicions about him."
"Afterwards, the caregiver would report Caleb Crawford’s actions to , but things she had reported suddenly got reported again two hours later."
"It seed like her mory had issues."
"At that ti, I felt sothing wasn’t right."
"I originally intended for the caregiver to send the flowers for imdiate testing, but because it was just one bouquet, no results ca out."
"So I told the caregiver to quietly dispose of the flowers whenever Caleb left, but to keep a sealed one each ti."
"It’s possible the evidence is really hidden inside."
As Sumr Dunn listened, her face went pale.
"I didn’t notice anything unusual!"
"Vivian, if those flowers indeed have problems, what does Caleb Crawford really want to do?"
"Does he want to poison Dad? Or... he’s afraid Dad will wake up and say sothing unfavorable to him, so he poisoned him to cause mory problems?"
"If he did it all, he’s too wicked and hateful!"
"Despite knowing my dad for over twenty years, he could still do such a thing!"
Vivian patted Sumr’s shoulder, "That’s why we need to quickly find evidence of his cri."
"He doesn’t know the teacher has actually woken up."
"During this ti, we must hurry."
Sumr’s eyes were filled with hatred, "Tell what to do, I’ll do whatever you say!"
Sumr completely understood now why her dad always praised Vivian for being smart.
Called her a genius.
Said she was ticulous beyond asure.
Said her intelligence and acun surpassed even his own daughter, which Sumr originally thought was just her dad being biased.
But now Sumr had to admit.
If it weren’t for Vivian Sinclair, she wouldn’t have been able to handle everything about Dad.
She would never have gotten this far.
Vivian, of course, didn’t know how trusting Sumr felt toward her at that mont; she calmly said, "Sumr, I need you to investigate Caleb Crawford. Check his past, see what secrets he’s hiding behind his perfect image!"
