Vivian Sinclair: "I wouldn’t dare."

"I just don’t want my children to grow up in an environnt with disputed backgrounds."

"I don’t want the world to point fingers at them."

Julian Thorne: "With here, who would dare?"

"However, I can sense that Miss Sinclair loves the two dearly."

Vivian Sinclair raised her hand to touch her belly: "My blood relatives... in this world, they are all I have."

"I will devote my life to loving them."

Julian Thorne smiled slightly.

"I believe you’ll be a good mother."

He seed to have more to say, but at that mont, a call ca in.

Julian Thorne answered; it was Leo Linden’s voice: "Master Julian, Phoenixia has been shut down."

Julian Thorne glanced at Vivian Sinclair and pressed the speakerphone button.

Vivian Sinclair could then hear the following words, "However, Dylan Drexler is missing."

"Also, Lillian Rivers and Gia Grant are both gone; if they didn’t escape together, they’ve hidden separately."

"But the forces he left at Phoenixia have been completely wiped out, and that Drexler guy is furious, threatening to settle accounts with us."

Julian Thorne: "I understand."

"I’ll be there shortly."

"Keep increasing manpower to assist the police in relentlessly searching for Dylan Drexler."

Leo Linden: "Understood."

After ending the call, Julian Thorne looked at Vivian Sinclair again: "If you plan to go out these days, rember to take Major and Minor with you."

"As you heard, Dylan Drexler escaped with your forr mother-in-law last night."

"He’s a maniac, a ticking ti bomb that won’t be safe until he’s jailed."

"So, unless it’s absolutely necessary, I suggest you not leave Crestfall Villa during this ti."

With that, Julian Thorne checked the ti, clearly needing to leave, and hastily wrapped up his conversation with Vivian Sinclair: "Let’s talk about the children’s matters in a month."

"Miss Sinclair, rember not to think about running away again."

"Otherwise, next ti, I will be very angry."

This ti, I’ll let it slide.

Considering she was quite frightened, too.

Julian Thorne resisted the urge to pat Vivian Sinclair’s head and, after bidding farewell, hurried out the door.

Vivian Sinclair hadn’t expected the conversation to end this way.

It felt abruptly interrupted, with unresolved matters, leaving her deeply uncomfortable.

However, the discomfort soon passed, and Vivian Sinclair accepted it.

A month is just a month; during that ti, she can completely resolve issues with The Grant Family.

Once the divorce with Austin Grant is finalized, they can resolve the children’s matters together.

Stella Thorne only learned at noon that Vivian Sinclair had returned.

Unaware that Vivian Sinclair hadn’t planned to return when she left last ti, Stella was happy to see her but not overly excited.

After a lunch together, as Stella Thorne just lay down for a nap, Vivian Sinclair received a call from Jasmine.

"Vivian, it’s... it’s the young master’s call that reached ."

"He learned about Dad being at the nursing ho and about Dad nearly losing his life at Phoenixia."

"He, he transferred five million to Dad."

"And also called , asking to contact you."

Vivian Sinclair didn’t bla Jasmine; instead, she comforted her: "Keep the five million; it’s what his mother owes your dad."

"You did well not hiding it from ."

"Tell , what’s he want from ?"

Jasmine: "He said the Old Madam is on her deathbed and asked you to visit the hospital."

"It seems the Old Madam has so final words for you."

Vivian Sinclair: "Tell him I won’t go."

After hanging up, Vivian Sinclair stood up and went to the window, gazing at the vast estate landscape, lost in thought.

Once, the only person she still cared about in The Grant Family was Old Madam Grant.

Initially, she had respected Old Madam Grant as a true grandmother, seeing her warmth and genuine kindness.

Even after the Sinclair family’s matters ca to light, causing Vivian Sinclair to face contempt everywhere within The Grant Family, Old Madam Grant continued to show her affection and care.

In front of Austin Grant, she always seed to favor Vivian a little more.

However, after discovering she was the one who sched against her the deepest, Vivian Sinclair had withdrawn all her emotions towards her.

Even though they had faced life and death together yesterday, Vivian Sinclair didn’t want to reconcile easily, pretending nothing had happened.

She didn’t want to see her anymore.

Let it be.

Once soone dies, everything dissipates like smoke.

But Vivian Sinclair, still alive, couldn’t let go.

That evening, a ssage from Dr. Archer appeared on Vivian Sinclair’s phone: "Young Madam, the Old Madam said if you want the divorce certificate, co to the hospital."

Vivian Sinclair gripped her phone tightly, read the ssage, and decided to get up and put on her coat.

She found the new steward, Felix: "Please arrange a car for ; I need to visit the hospital."

"Also, if possible, please contact Major and Minor to accompany ."

Felix replied respectfully: "Certainly, please wait a mont, Miss Sinclair."

Vivian Sinclair stood in front of the building, waiting, noticing a few maids discussing her not far away.

But as soon as her gaze landed on them, they dispersed imdiately.

Vivian Sinclair wasn’t naive; she had long noticed the odd atmosphere around the estate today.

For instance, she hadn’t seen Matron Turner since she returned.

Truman was not seen either.

This new butler was quite good, but Vivian Sinclair knew that many people were avoiding her.

However, she didn’t mind.

She was just a guest at Crestfall Villa.

After negotiating the child-related issues with Master Julian, she would eventually leave here.

After Vivian Sinclair left in the car, Matron Turner withdrew her gaze from behind the window of the left side parlor on the first floor.

She took out her phone and made a call: "Hello?"

"This family, maybe it’s ti for you to co back."

As soon as Vivian Sinclair arrived at the hospital, Mrs. Archer, who had been waiting downstairs for a while, imdiately ca forward to greet her.

Her eyes were red and swollen from crying, and upon seeing Vivian Sinclair, she directly knelt down: "Young Madam, I’m the one who wronged you. When Old Madam went missing, I shouldn’t have suspected you or spoken rashly to the police."

"Causing you to be wronged at the police station."

"It was all my fault."

"I beg you, please have rcy and see Old Madam!"

"You don’t know, since she woke up she’s been holding on, refusing to take her last breath, just wanting to see you with her own eyes."

"I beg you——"

"In the future, I’ll be your servant, just please have a bit of kindness towards Old Madam..."

Dr. Archer, standing beside, with red eyes, ca forward to help his mother: "Mom, get up. Since Young Madam is here, she’s definitely going to see Old Madam."

"Your actions make it difficult for Young Madam, even giving a sense of coercion."

"Please get up."

"Young Madam is not soone who would deliberately make things difficult for others..."

Yet, as he spoke, Dr. Archer himself was sowhat unconfident.

He lifted his head, guiltily glancing at Vivian Sinclair, who imdiately understood.

Her almond eyes widened with anger: "You tricked ?"

"Dominic Archer, you have so nerve!"

Dr. Archer shrank his neck: "No, no, it’s really Old Madam who said it herself... saying she wanted to handle the divorce matter with you and the young master..."

Bystanders had long started to turn their attention to the commotion.

So even began to gossip.

Vivian Sinclair didn’t want to continue standing at the entrance becoming the focal point.

With a flick of her hand, she then said with a stern face: "Aren’t you going yet?"

Vivian Sinclair’s appearance attracted the attention of all the relatives of The Grant Family.

There was anger, bla, resentnt, and a complicated hint of gratitude, as well as an incredibly cold, probing gaze.

The last two being from Austin Grant and the family head, Theodore Grant.

As they made way, all eyes fell on Vivian Sinclair.

Accompanied by Major and Minor, she walked over. Austin was still sitting in a wheelchair, looking even more battered than when he was beaten yesterday.

With a bruised and swollen face, and an arm in a sling, he looked entirely different from the refined young master he usually appeared to be, like two different people.

Vivian Sinclair couldn’t help but glance at him a few more tis.

Rarely did Vivian Sinclair look at him, yet Austin, thinking of that person with the surna Julian, for the first ti felt a sense of inferiority in his life.

She was accompanied by two bodyguards.

Could it be, were they arranged by that person for her?

They haven’t even received the divorce certificate yet!

Was that Julian person so impatient to bring soone else’s wife into his protective territory, was it not too much to bear!?

Austin’s heart ached sharply with anger. He lowered his head and clenched his fists tightly. If he didn’t know this wasn’t the right occasion, he would have grabbed Vivian Sinclair again and locked her in the attic, never allowing her to see anyone again!

He admitted it.

Since seeing that man yesterday, the jealousy in Austin’s heart had reached its peak.

Even now it hasn’t dissipated in the slightest.

"Since you’re here, let’s go in."

Theodore Grant spoke, breaking the suffocating silence.

Everyone else was left outside the door, only Vivian Sinclair, Austin Grant, and Theodore Grant entered the ward last.

It was still that room which could be spied upon.

This whole floor had been taken over by The Grant Family, so perhaps it would also be Old Madam Grant’s final mont.

Vivian Sinclair looked up towards the hospital bed.

Seeing Old Madam Grant’s current state, her heart couldn’t help but clench tightly.

How did she... beco like this?

Maybe it was her first ti seeing soone so close to death, so she could discern the aura of death clearly, and could deeply understand why people could sense the passing of their loved ones.

Because it was different.

It’s as if all the vital energy had been drained from a living person.

The person’s skin was wrapped tightly around bones, appearing as if they had shrunk a size.

The face was devoid of color, leaving the person in a deathly pallor and desolation.

The breathing was shallow and weakening.

This ti... even heavenly intervention couldn’t keep her here.

A sour sadness welled up inside Vivian Sinclair.

Unexpectedly, this day ca sooner than the doctors had predicted.

Old Madam Grant seed to sense sothing, and opened her eyes to see Vivian Sinclair.

The muddy gaze gradually revealed a trace of brightness.

She moved her fingers, "Co... over..."

Vivian Sinclair walked over.

In a low voice, she called, "Old Madam."
