Claire rcer felt an imnse sense of satisfaction seeing Mrs. Sinclair, along with Rose Gable and her daughter, get absolutely savaged online.
These past two days had been the happiest and most carefree she had felt in years.
So of the pent-up frustration from the injustices she’d suffered with the Sinclair family was finally being released.
’It’s not like I’m trying to harm them.’
’I’m just exposing their actions to the public, that’s all.’
Even if these videos and audio recordings couldn’t take down the Sinclair family in one fell swoop, she was more than happy to see them plunge the family into utter chaos.
’I wonder if that old woman will be fuming when she sees how netizens are cursing her out.’
Claire rcer really wanted to see the reactions of Mrs. Sinclair, Rose Gable, and her daughter.
The expressions on their faces must be absolutely priceless.
Gleefully, Claire rcer scrolled through the online comnts while eating so fruit.
That evening, a cheerful Roxanne Peyton found her and asked mysteriously,
"Claire, guess what I just heard?"
Seeing her friend’s brilliant smile, Claire rcer asked curiously,
"What news has you so happy?"
Roxanne Peyton popped a piece of fruit into her mouth and said, her words slightly muffled,
"It’s about Mrs. Sinclair."
The mont she heard it was about Mrs. Sinclair, Claire rcer’s interest was piqued.
"What happened to her?"
Roxanne Peyton grinned at her.
"Take a guess."
Seeing how delighted Roxanne Peyton was, Claire rcer figured sothing must have happened to Mrs. Sinclair.
Ever since they learned of Mrs. Sinclair’s vicious sche against her, both Roxanne Peyton and Stella Thorne had grown to utterly detest the woman.
The two of them had bad-mouthed her behind her back countless tis, cursing her for her shaless and disrespectful behavior despite her age.
And lately, so many people had been tearing into Mrs. Sinclair online.
’For Roxanne to be this happy, and for it to be about Mrs. Sinclair... sothing bad must have happened to her.’
"Don’t tell the online backlash actually angered her to death?"
’If she actually saw all those nasty comnts... with her lifelong domineering personality and her refusal to ever admit defeat, she probably couldn’t handle it.’
After being so arrogant and domineering her whole life, not only was her scandalous past completely exposed, but now she was being insulted and condemned by countless netizens. How could soone with her temperant endure that?
Even if she wasn’t angered to death, she’d probably have a stroke from the sheer rage.
"Not quite," Roxanne Peyton said. "But I heard she had a stroke."
"A stroke?" Claire rcer was taken aback.
Roxanne Peyton nodded.
’I guess I was right,’ Claire rcer thought. ’A cerebral hemorrhage is a type of stroke.’
"Is it serious?" she asked.
Roxanne Peyton said, "I hear it’s pretty serious."
"Apparently, she can’t recognize people anymore and can’t even speak. I heard she’s going to be bedridden for the rest of her life."
"She’ll need soone to feed her and even clean up after her."
"I just saw her a little while ago, and she seed to be in robust health. How could she have a stroke all of a sudden?"
"Was it really because she got so angry over the online comnts?"
"Exactly," Roxanne Peyton said excitedly.
"She found out she’s beco public enemy number one."
"Her whole sordid history from way back—knowingly being the other woman and driving the original wife to her death—it all got dug up."
"Plus, Rose Gable and Cynthia Sinclair have also been getting dragged through the mud."
"The scandal about Rose Gable keeping a fitness coach and a male model on the side also broke."
"And everyone knows about Cynthia Sinclair’s history of bullying in school and her ssy private life."
"In just a matter of two days, the once-glorious Sinclair family has beco the laughingstock of all of Rhonia..."
"She got so furious that her eyes rolled into the back of her head, and she almost stopped breathing."
Claire rcer thought about the recent public outcry against the Sinclair family online.
Forget Mrs. Sinclair, who was in her eighties; even a ntally fragile young person wouldn’t be able to withstand that kind of pressure.
Still, Claire rcer was a little puzzled.
"But the Sinclair family wouldn’t have let her see those nasty comnts, would they? If she saw them, at her age and with her personality, there’s no way she could handle it."
"Who knows," Roxanne Peyton said dismissively.
"I don’t care how she saw them."
"All I know is, the thought of that old hag not being able to stir up any more trouble makes very happy."
Claire rcer was happy, too.
’She was no pushover who would just swallow insults, nor was she so bleeding-heart saint. After being bullied so badly, she wasn’t about to feel sorry for the hypocritical, vicious woman who had tried to destroy her.’
Then, she began to analyze the situation aloud.
"That old woman has been forceful and domineering her entire life. She’s always had to be the strongest, always putting on airs in the Sinclair family."
"She’s always had the Sinclair family under her thumb; even the choice of an heir had to get her final approval."
"It’s very likely soone in their family has been unhappy with her for a long ti."
"This was the perfect opportunity to make a move against her without arousing suspicion."
Roxanne Peyton snorted.
"It’s her karma. She deserves it."
"She’s done so many wicked things. Now she’s just suffering the consequences of her own actions."
"Ending up like this is exactly what she deserves. It’s payback, plain and simple."
The thought of Mrs. Sinclair having a stroke from pure rage and being dood to spend the rest of her days paralyzed in bed made Roxanne Peyton feel imnsely gratified.
Her best friend had been so deceived by the Sinclair family.
And so cruelly set up by that old woman.
She despised the Sinclairs for being such outrageous bullies.
Claire rcer said coolly, "It’s true. What goes around, cos around."
After they chatted for a little longer, Roxanne Peyton suddenly slapped her thigh as if rembering sothing.
"I almost forgot! I heard sothing else."
Claire rcer was startled by her dramatic gesture.
"What is it? Why are you being so dramatic?"
Roxanne Peyton said, "I heard Scarlett Jewel moved into the Sinclair family’s main residence yesterday morning."
Claire rcer was surprised to hear this.
Although Scarlett Jewel was pregnant with Gavin Sinclair’s child, the two of them weren’t officially dating, nor were they engaged.
’For her to move into the Sinclair residence under such ambiguous circumstances... isn’t she afraid of the gossip? She’s already at the center of a huge controversy, practically drowning in criticism from netizens. Moving into the Sinclair ho now would just give people another reason to attack her, wouldn’t it?’
After a mont of thought, a bold theory ford in Claire rcer’s mind.
"I think I know who’s responsible for Mrs. Sinclair’s stroke."
"Who? It couldn’t be Scarlett Jewel, could it?" Roxanne Peyton asked.
Claire rcer nodded.
"I heard Mrs. Sinclair was the one who was vehently opposed to Scarlett Jewel marrying into the Sinclair family."
"Knowing her personality, I’m guessing she’s held a grudge against Mrs. Sinclair this whole ti."
"Add to that the fact that she’s pregnant now, and Mrs. Sinclair still refused to budge on her marrying Gavin Sinclair. She must have been seething with resentnt."
"As long as Mrs. Sinclair was around, she’d be an obstacle on her path to marrying Gavin Sinclair."
"So why not use the cover of this online scandal to quietly get rid of the one stumbling block on her path to marrying into a wealthy family?"
"That way, with no one left to oppose her marriage to Gavin Sinclair, she can finally marry into the Sinclair family as she’s always wanted."
"Plus, she only just moved into the Sinclair residence yesterday, and today Mrs. Sinclair has a stroke, supposedly from reading the online comnts."
"The timing is just a little too convenient..."
"Is that woman really that bold? To dare to make a move on Mrs. Sinclair just to marry Gavin Sinclair?"
"If the Sinclair family finds out, they’ll skin her alive, if not outright kill her."
"This is just my theory," Claire rcer said.
"But with the matriarch having a stroke and unable to speak, I’m afraid the Sinclair family is about to descend into major turmoil."
