Claire rcer’s hands, gripping the kitchen knife tightly, trembled as she kept backing away.

She was scared.

She wasn’t just afraid of Gavin Sinclair. She was also afraid of the knife in her hand.

She had never attacked soone with a knife before. She’d never even killed a chicken or a duck.

But in this situation, if she didn’t strike him, she would be the one to get hurt.

To protect herself, she had no choice but to attack.

So how could she not be afraid?

The kitchen wasn’t tiny, but it was still only a dozen or so square ters.

Just as Claire rcer was backed into a corner with nowhere left to retreat, Gavin Sinclair suddenly lunged forward, trying to snatch the kitchen knife from her hand.

But Claire rcer gripped the kitchen knife tightly, refusing to let go.

She clung to it like a drowning person clutching a straw.

After slashing wildly at the air in front of him a few tis, she gritted her teeth and threatened him.

"Gavin Sinclair, you’d better not co any closer, or I swear I’ll cut you."

Gavin Sinclair found her threat laughable, like a child’s ga.

He grinned at Claire rcer. "I said, aim for ."

As he spoke, he took two more steps toward her.

Then, he quickly reached out, trying to grab the kitchen knife from her hand.

Claire rcer reacted just as quickly, slashing at his outstretched hand.

Her hands trembled uncontrollably and she was incredibly tense, so the cut wasn’t very deep.

But the kitchen knife was extrely sharp.

It had only grazed Gavin Sinclair’s arm.

Yet it had torn open a wide gash, and a lot of fresh blood was now flowing out.

The pain in his arm instantly sent Gavin Sinclair into a humiliated rage.

His eyes bulged as he stared at Claire rcer, and he let out a low roar.

"Claire rcer, are you trying to die? You actually dared to cut ?"

Claire rcer scread back at him, "I told you not to push !"

"If I don’t take you today, then my na’s not Gavin Sinclair."

With that, Gavin Sinclair ignored his wound and started walking toward Claire rcer.

’Damn her! That reckless woman actually dared to cut him.’

’He had to teach her a lesson today, no matter what.’

Seeing him advance again, Claire rcer quickly turned and fled the kitchen.

She switched off the living room lights and, knowing the layout by heart, ran upstairs.

The mont she was in the bedroom, she locked the door and pulled out her phone to call the police.

’But then it occurred to her that the Sinclair Family’s network in Rhonia was vast.’

’Even if she called the police, they’d probably see Gavin Sinclair and write it off as a dostic dispute.’

’And once the police left, Gavin Sinclair, furious about his injured arm, would surely retaliate even more viciously.’

’No, calling the police was useless.’

Just as she was wondering who she could possibly call for help, her phone rang.

It was Adrian Sutton.

Claire rcer’s eyes lit up, and she hurriedly answered the phone.

"Hello."

Adrian Sutton heard the trembling in Claire rcer’s voice. His thick brows furrowed as he quickly asked,

"Miss rcer, what’s wrong? Has sothing happened?"

"Gavin Sinclair... he tried to assault . I cut him, and now he’s lost his mind..."

Claire rcer’s words were brief, but their aning was horrifyingly clear. Adrian Sutton knew exactly what Gavin Sinclair planned to do next.

He steadied his own ragged breathing and instructed Claire rcer.

"Keep the door locked. I’m on my way."

"Don’t hang up. Keep on the line so I know what’s happening."

After he spoke, she could hear the sounds of him rushing out the door on the other end of the line.

"Okay." Claire rcer clutched her phone.

Listening to Gavin Sinclair’s crazed shouting outside the door, she prayed that Adrian Sutton would get there soon.

Outside the door, Gavin Sinclair’s eyes were bloodshot. Like a furious beast, he pounded relentlessly on the door.

"Claire rcer, open this door! You can hide today, but can you hide tomorrow?"

Claire rcer’s eyes were glued to the door, her entire body rigid with tension.

’She didn’t understand how Gavin Sinclair had beco so twisted.’

’He used to not even give her the ti of day, treating her with utter disdain.’

’How could he have beco so perverted, so crazed?’

Gavin Sinclair continued to pound on the door, shouting.

"We are husband and wife, you should fulfill your wifely duties."

"Since I, Gavin Sinclair, married you, there’s no way I’m letting you leave pure and untouched."

Claire rcer snarled at Gavin Sinclair through the door. "Piss off."

’Before, just seeing him was tireso.’

’Now, the very sound of his voice made her feel utterly nauseated.’

’She used to just think he had so issues, that he was a serious male chauvinist.’

’He even shalessly saw himself as so ancient emperor, dreaming of having a whole harem.’

’But only today did she see his true colors. He was nothing but a psychologically twisted degenerate.’

’Before, his crippled legs had limited his actions.’

’Now that his legs were healed, he started cheating, and now he was trying to rape her.’

’His disgusting behavior was absolutely repulsive to the core.’

Fortunately, Adrian Sutton soon arrived at the villa.

The main gate to the villa had been closed by Gavin Sinclair.

Soone outside who didn’t know the password would be unable to open it.

But Claire rcer had already sent the password to Adrian Sutton.

So when Adrian Sutton walked through the living room and reached the second floor, Gavin Sinclair didn’t notice him at all.

He was still pounding on the door, threatening Claire rcer and spewing vulgar filth.

A murderous aura radiated from Adrian Sutton as he listened.

If not for the last shred of his reason, he would have chopped Gavin Sinclair into pieces and fed him to the dogs right then and there.

Just as Gavin Sinclair was about to spew more filth,

Adrian Sutton ca up behind him and kicked him viciously in the right leg.

’Scum like this didn’t deserve to stand.’

Caught completely off guard, Gavin Sinclair was kicked so hard he slamd to his knees.

His legs had only just recently healed, and now, with his right leg being so violently kicked...

..bined with the brutal impact of kneeling on the hard floor, the two forces acting on it...

Gavin Sinclair thought he heard the sound of his right leg bone fracturing.

He imdiately collapsed onto his side, clutching his right leg and crying out in pain.

"AARGH..."

Gavin Sinclair wailed in agony, and a cold sweat quickly drenched his clothes.

Adrian Sutton looked down at him, his gaze imperious.

The bone-chilling cold in his eyes was like a sharp, gleaming sword.

He wished his glare alone could tear the man to pieces.

’He had previously thought the man was just blind and heartless, an idiotic scumbag.’

’Only today did he realize that the man before him was rotten to the very core.’

’He was like a piece of at rotting in a sewer, stinking disgustingly from the inside out.’

Perhaps his right leg had indeed fractured again, because after wailing for a while, Gavin Sinclair passed out from the pain.

"Useless piece of trash."

Adrian Sutton sneered with utter contempt.

He kicked the unconscious Gavin Sinclair aside as if he were kicking a dead pig.

"Miss rcer, are you alright?"

Hearing Adrian Sutton’s voice outside the door, Claire rcer finally let out a sigh of relief.

"What about Gavin Sinclair? Is he gone?"

Adrian Sutton shot another disgusted glance at Gavin Sinclair, who was lying on the floor.

"No, he’s by the door."

"But he’s no threat now. Don’t worry."

Hearing Adrian Sutton’s words, Claire rcer took a mont to steady her breathing, then walked to the door and slowly opened it.

"Where is he?"

Adrian Sutton gestured with his chin in Gavin Sinclair’s direction. "Right here."

Seeing him lying on the floor, motionless as a corpse, Claire rcer gasped.

"Is he... dead?"

Adrian Sutton shook his head. "No. He passed out from the pain."

Claire rcer walked over to the pig-like form of Gavin Sinclair and kicked him hard, twice.

But that still wasn’t enough to quell the rage in her heart.

She crouched down and slapped Gavin Sinclair hard across the face, back and forth, several tis.

His face, already covered in bruises, swelled up even more.

Only then did she feel like she’d vented so of her anger.

"Miss rcer, what do you plan to do with him?"
