Claire rcer had never seen such a fierce look in his eyes.

She couldn’t help but be slightly taken aback.

He looked even angrier than she was.

It was as if he held so deep-seated grudge against those people.

"Anyway, thank you so much for today."

Adrian Sutton realized he had just let his emotions show a little too clearly.

He worried his expression might have scared her.

He imdiately offered her a gentle smile.

"I told you, there’s no need to be so formal with ."

Then he rembered that she hadn’t had anything to eat or drink since she woke up.

"Right, how are you feeling now?"

"Are you still feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"

Claire rcer shook her head. "Aside from being a little dizzy and nauseous, I’m okay."

"Those are the aftereffects of the drug. You’ll be fine after a couple of days of rest."

With that, Adrian Sutton went out to get her a glass of hot water.

"Drinking so hot water will help flush out any remaining traces of the drug from your system."

Claire rcer sat up slowly and obediently took the glass.

Adrian Sutton added, "You haven’t eaten anything since breakfast."

"What would you like to eat? I’ll go make it for you right now."

Claire rcer’s stomach was empty, but she felt too nauseous to have any appetite.

She shook her head, indicating she didn’t want to eat anything.

Adrian Sutton tried to persuade her. "You should eat at least a little. Otherwise, you won’t get your strength back."

"You still have the design competition next month. You need to build up your strength to prepare for it."

Claire rcer thought about it and realized he had a point.

"I rember there was so chicken and mushroom congee left over from this morning. I’ll just have that."

"That’s just leftovers. I’ll go make you sothing fresh. It won’t take long."

Before Claire rcer could even open her mouth to stop him,

Adrian Sutton had already gotten up, left her room, and headed straight for the kitchen.

As she watched his back disappear, rushing off to cook for her,

an unfamiliar feeling stirred in Claire rcer’s heart.

She stared in the direction of the door for a long ti, lost in thought.

Adrian Sutton had always been decisive and efficient.

Once he decided on a course of action, he was always fast, ruthless, and precise.

He never gave himself ti to hesitate, nor did he give his opponents a single mont to catch their breath.

The mont he instructed Hughes to deal with the rcer Group and the Horizon Group,

he had sealed their fate. Their demise had already begun.

The rcer Group was already on the brink of collapse, and they had been running all over the place for days, trying to secure investnts and partnerships.

Businessn always consider their own interests and take a long-term view.

Although so companies gave it a slight consideration because the rcer Family’s true daughter was about to marry into the Sinclair Family,

they ultimately rejected any investnt or partnership after considering the rcer Group’s actual strength and capabilities.

Watching the rcer Group about to be ruined under his watch, Julian rcer had completely lost his senses.

He had been working from his hospital bed for the past few days due to a fractured ankle.

He made call after call, seeking partnerships and investnts.

But his calls were either ignored or hung up on the mont they heard his na.

With the company’s capital chain about to break completely and no way to repay the bank loans,

he was panicking, lost, like a lion that had lost its way in the desert.

After a fit of rage, he had no idea what to do next.

Just then, Oscar rcer arrived in a hurry.

Seeing the excited smile on his son’s face, Julian rcer grabbed a bowl from the bedside table and threw it at him.

"The rcer Family is about to go bankrupt, and you have the nerve to smile?"

Previously, Julian rcer had only ever vented his frustrations on Judith Caldwell.

Now that Judith Caldwell wasn’t at the hospital, he could only take his anger out on Oscar rcer.

Oscar rcer couldn’t dodge in ti, and a large lump instantly ford on his forehead where the bowl hit him.

The impact made his head spin.

He yelled at Julian rcer in frustration, "Dad, what are you doing?"

"Are you even part of the rcer Family?" Julian rcer glared at him.

He couldn’t stand anyone smiling at him right now.

Whenever soone smiled, he felt like they were laughing at his misfortune.

Especially at a critical ti when the rcer Family was facing bankruptcy, the fact that his own son could still smile...

It made his blood boil.

"Are you happy now that the rcer Family is at a dead end?"

"Dad, do you have any idea what you’re saying?"

"What good would the rcer Family’s bankruptcy do ?"

Oscar rcer was at a loss for words regarding Julian rcer’s recent explosive temper.

’No wonder Mom doesn’t want to co to the hospital and poke the bear.’

If he didn’t have sothing important to discuss, he wouldn’t have bothered coming at all.

"I ca to tell you so good news."

"Good news? What could possibly be good news for us right now?"

Oscar rcer asked, "You know of CZ Group, right?"

"Who in the entire business world *doesn’t* know of CZ Group?"

Julian rcer shot him a displeased look.

’How dare he ask such a stupid question.’

CZ’s growth in just eight short years was an achievent he could never hope to match in his entire lifeti.

Forget him; even the Sinclair Family, the wealthiest in Rhonia, couldn’t reach those heights.

That’s why CZ Group’s developnt was widely considered legendary in the country.

No one knew how they had done it.

’But why is he bringing up CZ Group?’

"Why are you bringing up CZ Group?"

"I heard that CZ Group is going to launch a tourism project in Rhonia."

"And they’re going to partner with a local corporation from Rhonia."

"This could be an opportunity for the rcer Group."

Julian rcer agreed that this was a rare opportunity.

If they could form a partnership with CZ Group, the rcer Family’s future would be set to skyrocket.

His gloomy expression finally softened, and he asked Oscar rcer with so excitent,

"Where did you hear this news?"

Oscar rcer gave him an annoyed glance.

"Dad, do you think I’ve just been out playing around these past few days, running all over the place?"

"To help the rcer Family get through this crisis, do you have any idea how many doors have been slamd in my face, how many scornful looks I’ve had to endure?"

"I had to move heaven and earth just to get this information ahead of ti."

"So, before any other company gets wind of this, our family has to strike first."

Julian rcer asked, "Do you know what the project is?"

Oscar rcer said, "I heard they have their eyes on a mountain in Southedge."

"They’re planning to build Rhonia’s largest holiday tourist resort there."

"You know Rhonia is a tourist city. People from all over the country flock here every year."

"If we buy that mountain before CZ Group makes its move..."

"Then they’ll either have to partner with us for a win-win, or they’ll have to buy the mountain from us at a high price."

"Either way, the rcer Group can’t lose."

Hearing Oscar’s words, Julian rcer felt this was indeed an opportunity.

CZ Group had a notoriously sharp eye; any market they targeted never lost money.

Now that they had their sights set on Southedge to build a tourist resort, it was bound to be a sure thing.

If they could really buy that mountain, it would undoubtedly be a golden opportunity for the rcer Group to turn things around.

Julian rcer didn’t want to let this chance for a coback slip away. He imdiately gave Oscar rcer his orders.

"Then find a way to buy that mountain."

’As long as we can partner with CZ Group, all we’ll have to do in the future is sit at ho and count money.’

But Oscar rcer, who had been so enthusiastic just a mont ago, now started to sigh.

"You know the rcer Group’s current situation. Our capital chain is already insufficient."

"Buying a mountain is no small sum. The rcer Group’s current funds can’t even cover our bank loans."

"Then find a way," Julian rcer said, seemingly determined to get Southedge.

"For the rcer Group, this is a once-in-a-lifeti opportunity."

"Even if we have to resort to private lenders, at worst the interest will just be a bit higher than the bank’s."

"Once we’ve secured the partnership with CZ Group, will we still have to worry about not being able to pay it back?"

"Alright, I’ll get on it right now." With that, Oscar rcer left the hospital room, full of fighting spirit.

Partnering with CZ Group was sothing so many companies could only dream of.

The rcer Family had to seize this opportunity and make a brilliant coback.

What they didn’t realize, however, was that this was all a trap laid for them by Adrian Sutton.
