"Mr. Yang, I think Xixi is actually quite talted in piano, and her currt age is just right to start learning,"
Mr. Li, who was responsible for giving Xixi her piano lesson, said to Yang Hao with a smile after the trial lesson ded.
"Hmm, we'll go ho and think about it."
Yang Hao nodded slightly, knowing his precious daughter all too well, he figured the piano was a no-go since the little girl had be yawning through the lesson.
"Alright, here's my business card. Mr. Yang, feel free to contact at any ti."
Mr. Li handed over another business card.
Yang Hao courteously accepted it and motioned for Xixi to say goodbye.
"Daddy, I don't want to learn piano."
After they left the art training cter, Xixi initiated the conversation.
"Okay."
Yang Hao nodded, having realized that his darling daughter likely didn't have much of a connection with the art of piano.
In fact, Yang Hao was quite ke on having Xixi learn piano, as girls playing piano have a truly elegant deanor, and playing the piano requires sitting with a straight back, which is also a way to hance one's temperamt.
However, learning piano can be a tedious process, and once you start, it's usually a commitmt of several years at a minimum. So, it could be quite painful without interest.
Yang Hao was currtly holding onto the script "Do Not Bully the Midlife Poor" and had no inttion of making his precious daughter suffer this hardship.
Thus, Xixi's personal wishes were the priority.
"Daddy, can I learn to play the suona? I just saw that uncle playing the suona and it looked so interesting."
Just as Yang Hao was pondering what class to try next with Xixi, the little girl suddly piped up.
"Ah?"
"Suona??"
Yang Hao was stunned for a momt, th mtally evaluated the usefulness of learning the suona.
Seems like it might co in handy wh I kick the bucket!
From that perspective, it would indeed be more practical than piano; wh his day ca, Xixi could play sothing like "Second Spring Eulogy" or "Cherish Partal Grace."
But a girl learning to play the suona? That's just too damn incongruous!
Especially wh his darling daughter is so adorable!!
"Daddy, can I learn it?"
Seeing Yang Hao hadn't spok for a while, Xixi pouted and pressed for an answer.
"We'll try it out wh we have ti."
"But now, daddy needs to take you to see your little aunt."
Yang Hao brushed it off, thinking the little girl would probably forget about learning the suona in a couple of days.
"Are we going to see Little Aunt now?"
"That's great~!"
Upon hearing they were off to see her little aunt, Xixi imdiately cheered with excitemt, as she especially adored her little aunt wh it wasn't ti for English lessons.
...
Jiangchg University.
Inside the girls' dormitory.
"So you're saying your brother-in-law has found us an apartmt and wants us to move in right now?"
Xu Wqian looked at Li Manni with a puzzled face.
"That seems to be the case."
"A two-bedroom in Fghua Residtial Area for eighte hundred??"
Xu Wqian was sowhat incredulous: "It can't be an unfurnished place, right? The rt for a two-bedroom in that area, ev the cheapest, is a twty-four or five hundred. If I rember correctly, it's also close to both of our workplaces, the only downside being the expsive rt!"
"My brother-in-law didn't mtion the state of the apartmt, but since he said we can move in imdiately, I doubt it's unfurnished," Li Manni replied.
"Alright th."
"Let's just trust my brother-in-law; he wouldn't let us down!"
Xu Wqian didn't ask any further questions and continued packing up her things.
After they had packed their belongings, Li Manni also received a call from Yang Hao, saying he was already downstairs at the dormitory.
The two girls imdiately began moving their luggage downstairs.
"Ah, I forgot to call for a moving service. I wonder if your brother-in-law's car can fit all this."
"By the way, what kind of car does he have again?"
As they carried their stuff downstairs, Xu Wqian asked.
"He said it was a BYD, anyway, the car was pretty big," Li Manni replied.
"BYD does have large SUVs. Brother-in-law, your car has to be powerful; that way, we can ev save a bit on haulage fees!"
Xu Wqian grumbled as she struggled with her luggage.
But as soon as she stepped out of the girls' dormitory, her eyes were imdiately drawn to a Voyah U8 parked not far from the dorm trance. "Eh, has so studt be tak under the wing of a tycoon?"
"A Voyah U8, huh? That's a million-yuan luxury car!!"
Xu Wqian worked as an editor for a new dia company. The Voyah U8 was a car that naturally attracted atttion, and she had ev writt two proposals related to it, so she recognized it at a glance.
"A million-yuan luxury car??"
Li Manni, who was standing beside her, looked baffled at her frid. Having ridd in the Voyah U8 twice, she only thought that BYD had made the interior very luxurious, without knowing the car was that expsive.
"It's BYD's premium brand. The price on the road is over . million, and it seems you have to pay extra to get one!"
"Eh, BYD??"
Xu Wqian suddly rembered what Li Manni had just mtioned about her brother-in-law driving a BYD.
While she was still in a daze, the door to the driver's seat of the Voyah U8 oped and a tall man stepped out.
"Xu Wqian, long ti no see."
Yang Hao had t Xu Wqian before, once wh Li Manni started her freshman year, and another ti wh he ca to the university to bring Li Manni so items.
Although that last ti was two years ago, Li Manni frequtly mtioned this good frid, so Yang Hao had a sowhat deep impression of her.
"Brother-in-law, sorry for troubling you this late, really!"
Xu Wqian quickly responded and also called him brother-in-law, following Li Manni's lead.
"It's nothing, just a small matter," Yang Hao said with a wave of his hand and added, "But regarding the title, just change it to Yang, that's fine."
"Okay, Yang!"
Xu Wqian automatically added a 'big' in the middle and called him Yang, feeling that it sounded fridlier.
Just th, Xixi hopped out of the backdoor and ran towards Li Manni while chuckling, "Auntie, I've co to pick you up too!"
Li Manni put down her luggage and affectionately touched the little girl's head.
Yang Hao, on the other hand, oped the trunk of the Voyah U8 and stuffed in the three suitcases and a wov bag they had brought down, with so space still left over.
"Can I go into the girls' dormitory?"
Yang Hao wanted to go in and help with the luggage.
"You can't go in."
"Yang, we can handle it ourselves, there's not much stuff left anyway," Xu Wqian cheerfully responded.
"Brother-in-law, you just wait here for us," Li Manni also said.
Yang Hao nodded, "Alright th, no rush. Take your ti."
The two girls wt back to the dormitory.
Once out of Yang Hao's sight, Xu Wqian excitedly said, "Manni, your brother-in-law has struck it rich!"
"The sa person who st you that Prada handbag last ti is now driving a million-yuan luxury car!"
"And your brother-in-law is quite handso too, just like the perfect uncle from TV dramas!"
"That car really costs over a million?"
Li Manni was still sowhat stunned. Wh Yang Hao gifted the Prada bag last ti, he said he made so money doing business with frids, but it had only be a short while and now he had bought a million-yuan luxury car, which was hard to believe.
"It's true, it does cost over a million. If you don't believe , you can check it out online yourself!"
"Besides, Manni, your sister probably doesn't know that your brother-in-law has made it big, otherwise she would definitely die of regret!" Xu Wqian gossiped a bit.
Li Manni didn't respond; she hadn't be in touch with her sister for over a month. Li Manshu had st her a WeChat ssage once, but she hadn't replied.
And with her understanding of her sister, she would naturally regret it, after all, they divorced because the brother-in-law had hit hard tis.
"But it will be tough for your sister to turn back now!"
"If I were Yang, I would absolutely not accept her again!"
Xu Wqian sighed th looked at her frid, who was svelte and had a face full of collag, and exclaid, "Manni, but you could do it!"
"After all, in ancit tis, it was common for sisters to marry the sa husband!"
"This long-standing cultural tradition can continue to be passed down and glorified!"
"Hey, hey, Manni, don't hit ..."
"I won't talk anymore, okay? I was wrong..."
