"Chuting, she ca over a long ti ago."

"Where?"

The couple looked bewildered. Although the estate was large, Lu Liang had just given them a quick tour, and they had not noticed any sign of Wang Chuting or the grandson.

"Next door." Lu Liang grinned sheepishly, pointing at the fence covered in climbing vines nearby.

Through the gaps in the climbing vines, one could vaguely see the sidewalk and artificial river outside the fence, as well as another fence covered in climbing vines further out.

Lu Liang glanced at his parents and coughed a few tis, saying, "The land is actually not just 16 acres; the total area is 31.5 acres, but it’s divided into East and West Gardens."

The couple was stunned, eyes widening in disbelief.

The mother pointed at Lu Liang in anger, her fingers trembling with rage: "You really think you’re the Emperor?"

"Not at all, I just thought it’d be nice for everyone to live closer, for easier care in the future." Lu Liang suddenly felt uneasy; it was the first ti he’d seen his mother so angry, comparable to when he was caught picking up Lu’s cigarette butts to look cool when he was a child.

Lu Liang dared not act recklessly anymore; he called Feng Delu, summoned a sightseeing car, and arrived at a building resembling a security room.

The building was constructed above the artificial river; it was essentially an enclosed bridge, crossing through which led directly to the neighboring West Garden.

If viewed from above, one could see that the architecture layout of the two gardens was almost a one-to-one replica.

"It’s so hidden, they couldn’t possibly find out."

Lu Liang chuckled dryly, assisted his parents in boarding the sightseeing car, heading to the main building.

Lu Jiancheng’s face turned dark: "Being this close, no matter how hidden, it will eventually be discovered soday. Have you never thought about what you’d do when that day cos?"

Lu Liang laughed and said, "It’s actually just for occasional holidays, not to live for long."

He knew that the longer ti went by, the more likely it was to be exposed.

Moreover, once exposed, even if neither side minded, there would inevitably be so residual awkwardness.

But this was just a safe haven; once the crisis was over, it would be ti to return ho or back to Modu, so there wouldn’t be any problems in the short term.

The elderly couple was speechless, unable to find any words to criticize Lu Liang.

This rascal has thought it all out too thoroughly.

"Don’t climb recklessly; be careful not to bump your head."

As they got out of the car and entered the house, they heard an indulgent female voice inside, accompanied by the crisp sound of bells.

The living room was transford into a colorful children’s playground, where a six-to-seven-month-old baby crawled around on cushions, the silver bells on its neck tinkling as it moved.

Next to them was a desk, where Wang Chuting sat in a tailored light green woman’s suit, sotis looking at the display screen, sotis at the baby romping around in the playground, with a soft smile always on her face.

Then, from the corner of her eye, she glanced at the doorway and suddenly saw Lu Liang and a pair of elderly parents accompanying him.

Wang Chuting froze, like a student caught daydreaming in class, hastily putting her feet down and standing up straight, smoothing nonexistent creases on her clothes.

She took quick strides forward, glancing briefly at Lu Liang and receiving his smiling affirmation.

With a smile on her face, she bowed and said, "Hello, uncle and aunt. My na is Wang Chuting."

"Xiao Ting, hello to you too."

"You’re so tall, how tall are you?"

Although it was their first eting, Wang Chuting wanted to win the favor of the elderly couple, who felt that as the child’s mother, eting this late ant she had been wronged, and both sides were eager to quickly reconcile their relationship, getting along harmoniously.

Lu Liang smiled, resembling an outsider, walked over to the children’s playground, and picked up the baby: "Did you miss daddy?"

The baby was playing happily but was about to cry upon being picked up, only to stop upon realizing it was Lu Liang, expressing gleeful baby sounds.

"This must be Junjun; let grandma hold you." The mother bead at the baby, showing undisguised delight.

Without caring about Lu Liang’s consent, she snatched away the baby and magically from her bag produced the peace charm, longevity lock, and a fresh tree branch.

Seeing this, the father quickly took out a bottle of sowhat cloudy mineral water from his bag, poured a little on the branch, and then the couple began ’casting spells’ over the baby’s head and body.

Wang Chuting was perplexed, walked over next to Lu Liang, and quietly asked, "What are they doing?"

"I think it’s a rite of protection for the full moon ceremony that wasn’t done on ti, being made up now."

Lu Liang laughed and said, as long as it wasn’t ant for drinking, he wasn’t against these superstitions.

After all, the intention was certainly to wish the offspring safety, health, no illness or disasters, even if it was just for peace of mind.

Take that peach branch for example; before dawn today, Lu had run up the mountain to pluck it and then brought it all the way from ho to Xiangjiang.

Suddenly, Lu Liang felt a slight pain in his waist, gasping quietly, only to see Wang Chuting looking at him with an aggrieved expression: "You scoundrel, you didn’t tell your parents were coming either."

"Didn’t I ntion it?" Lu Liang wondered, while Wang Chuting indignantly replied: "You just said it would be within these few days, but didn’t specify today. I wasn’t prepared at all."

Lu Liang chuckled: "It doesn’t matter, what’s there to prepare for anyway?"

Wang Chuting snorted coldly, and for the first ti Lu Liang saw a wronged expression on her face, hurriedly comforting her: "Don’t worry, didn’t you notice? They really like you and Junjun too."

"That’s separate, but I feel it’s rather improper."

Their whispering also caught the eye of the parents, with Lu abruptly saying, "They seem quite compatible, don’t you think?"

Though Su Wanyu aligned with their image of a virtuous wife, Wang Chuting’s spirited deanor was more like the supportive wife Lu Liang needed.

"She’s also very polite." The mother chuckled, noting that Wang Chuting was indeed tall, claiming a barefoot height of 177.

But ever since eting them, she had been trying to keep her posture bent, maintaining eye-level contact.

One’s character can be revealed through seemingly insignificant actions.

And as Lu had noted, Wang Chuting appeared to be the companion Lu Liang actually required.

"Stop thinking too much; let that rascal handle it himself. We’ll try our best to remain unbiased."

"That’s all we can do."

The couple completed the ’spell casting,’ and holding the baby, ca before Wang Chuting.

The mother bead and said, "Tingting, where’s the in-law? I heard from Liang she lives here too."

"My mom went to the supermarket with Mrs. Liu the nanny, probably coming back later." Wang Chuting quickly responded.

At this mont, Sun Zheyuan suddenly approached Lu Liang and whispered into his ear; upon hearing this, Lu Liang’s expression gradually turned serious.

Wang Chuting glanced over, softly saying: "You go handle your business. I’ll take good care of uncle and aunt."

"You should change to calling them mom and dad already." The mother feigned anger, her face showing displeasure.

"Go on, go busy yourself." Lu dismissively waved his hand, his face showing impatience.

"Alright, mom and dad." Wang Chuting smiled brightly.

"Then take your ti chatting."

Lu Liang chuckled and left quickly.

Compared to Su Wanyu, he actually trusted Wang Chuting more, as she was more adept with people and situations.

Leaving the house, heading to the Tianxing Financial Building in the city, Lu Liang asked: "Have you figured it out?"

During this ti, the mainland was undergoing substantial reforms, with each policy demonstrating the resolve to deleverage the real estate market, inevitably causing varying drops in house prices nationwide.

Given the predominance of the real estate economy, any decline in the housing market would lead to varying levels of downturn across various industries, including the financial market.

Big A dropping below 3000 points, then 2900 points, and even 2800 points was actually anticipated.

However, the duration shouldn’t be this long—a consistent decline lasting over half a month.

This is quite illogical, even sowhat contrary to logic.

For as the glory of the housing market diminished, hot investnt money previously aid at real estate would inevitably seek a suitable place to reside.

The East Country’s stock market, albeit poor, could at least serve as a reasonably acceptable temporary reservoir for funds.

According to logic, a rebound was imminent, yet there was no sign of such a rebound. .

Even the offshore RMB exchange rate was nearing the 7-yuan threshold.

Lu Liang vaguely sensed sothing amiss, so he sent Sun Zheyuan to investigate.

"In the A-shares market, large amounts of foreign capital are flowing out; Harris communicated that Europe and Arica’s bond circles are aggressively selling RMB, with multiple institutions shorting Chinese concept stocks listed in the US."

Sun Zheyuan recounted investigations conducted during this period, with several indicators suggesting that soone was scheming and had begun execution, capitalizing on the mainland’s real estate economic reforms to short East Country, aiming to seize the results from forty years of developnt.

This ti there were no signs, nor did Soros propagandize that East Country’s economy would collapse; it was like a quiet dog that bites without barking until the pain reveals you’ve been bitten.
