"You look good wearing it.”
Lu Liang smiled, sitting next to Reba, clinking glasses, his other hand naturally around her waist.
Evening, hotel, invited!
It just showed their attitude, she playing the innocent young lady, he acting the old gentleman, which wasn’t awkward.
Reba quivered, a blush creeping from her ears to her cheeks, but she didn’t resist and sipped her red wine in small gulps.
"Miss Yang’s company, how is it being handled? You weren’t implicated, were you?”
Lu Liang’s lips curled up as he reached forward, sneaking his hand into her coat. The skin of this border girl was different from that of the Han people, and not quite like a Western woman’s either.
Not too delicate nor too rough, sowhere in between. The feel was nice, sowhat like a finer grade of matte car paint, but not hard, very soft and very warm.
"I’ve been signed with Mi’s agency ever since I debuted. If Jiaxing is fine, I should be fine too.”
Reba’s gaze turned hazy, her lips slightly parted: “Mi told to say thank you to Mr. Lu if I was lucky enough to et him.”
"Did Miss Yang really say that?”
Lu Liang whispered softly, walking slowly behind Reba, no longer satisfied with one hand, he placed both hands on her shoulders, sliding them down her neckline to replace her undergarnts.
Suddenly, he thought of an old Hong Kong movie line he had seen before, won’s undergarnts are actually an imitation of a man’s hands.
"Mmm~” Reba breathed lightly, it was unclear whether she was confirming or moaning softly.
"Is it just a ‘thank you’?”
Lu Liang playfully teased, leaning close and breathing into her ear.
Gradually, he felt the clothes were a bit restrictive and desired more freedom to move his hands.
Thus, clothes began to pile up on the carpet beside the dining table, leaving only a pair of socks and shoes on the body.
Sotis, leaving one or two pieces of clothing on can have a stronger visual impact than being completely bare.
Especially since the attempt to cover due to embarrassnt resulted in neither upper nor lower parts being properly covered.
…
Lu Liang thought of the internet-famous lady from Route 318, who wore nothing, compared to the few items on this one.
"Now what? Is it more than just thanks?”
Reba murmured half-heartedly, visibly annoyed, a stark contrast to her deanor before entering the room.
"Don’t make our relationship sound so vulgar.”
Lu Liang chuckled, always wanting to remove those few remaining items. That only got his hand slapped.
"What are you trying to do?” Reba glared, her eyes wide while Lu Liang grinned: “Nothing much, just think you look extra adorable.”
A girl’s true nature often reveals itself after sleeping together once, and if it hasn’t yet, one might need a few more sleeps unless she’s really good at acting or genuinely consistent— otherwise, her true colors will show.
"Don’t let your thoughts wander about them.”
Reba turned her head, leaving Lu Liang with a smooth back and swiftly changed the subject: “I’m hungry.”
"What would you like to eat?”
Lu Liang picked up the bedside phone. Even though there was a table full of dinner outside, it probably went cold, so he decided to order again.
"Roasted lamb ribs, stewed beef shank, grilled eel, and would be great with so lamb at bun… I’m drooling already.”
Reba swallowed dryly, her eyes watery, already imagining how wonderful it would be to eat them.
After Lu Liang placed the order, he hung up, teasingly comnting: “Aren’t you worried about managing your figure?”
"Tonight’s special, I’m not worrying about my figure,” Reba said pridefully, having decided to feast to her heart’s content.
"Is it the person that’s special, or the occasion?”
"Both, I guess.”
Half an hour later, the doorbell rang.
Reba darted into the bathroom like a startled squirrel, hunching over.
Lu Liang, bemused, donned his bathrobe and went to open the door, greeted by lamb ribs, beef, eel, and lamb buns.
Only after he closed the door again did Reba peek out from the bathroom, whispering, “Is he gone?”
"He’s gone,” Lu Liang nodded.
Reba rushed out in a bathrobe, grabbing lamb ribs with her left and eel with her right, then sipping lamb soup, nearly blurting out in her comfortable hotown dialect.
"Take it slow, no one is competing with you.”
Lu Liang laughed lightly, initially not hungry, but feeling slightly peckish after watching her ‘mukbang’ from close range.
"Let borrow a lamb rib to try.”
"You said you weren’t competing with .”
"I’ll return it tomorrow.”
"Tomorrow? Aren’t you busy?”
Reba suddenly slowed down her eating, stealing a glance at Lu Liang.
"I have to go to New York in a few days, probably free till then.”
Lu Liang, phone in his left hand, lamb rib in the right, idly browsed Bitcoin news.
After a surge, a significant drop was inevitable. He planned to play the bull first to tackle the bears, and then switch to be a bear to take down the bulls.
So recently, he had been looking for an opportunity for the big drop, because the current market was so hot that regular negative news couldn’t possibly kill this trend.
It either needed significant bad news or consistent negative pressure.
"How coincidental~ I start my three-day vacation tomorrow too~ I haven’t really had a proper break in over two years.”
Reba suddenly began counting on her fingers; she had been on a relentless path in the entertainnt industry following Yang Mi’s fierce steps, becoming the hardest working younger sister of the three.
"So what? Are you asking to take you out for a few days?”
"I didn’t say that,” Reba mumbled softly, “but if you invite , maybe I’ll agree.”
"Aren’t you afraid of being recognized?”
"In winter it’s okay, we can go to colder places, wear hats, masks, and scarves, no one will recognize us.”
She clearly wanted to go north of Beijing, to see the goose-feather like heavy snow.
Lu Liang thought for a mont, then suddenly his lips curved into a sly smile, “How about we play a ga?”
"What ga?” Reba looked confused. They were having a normal conversation, how did it suddenly turn to a ga?
She just wanted Lu Liang to take her out for a stroll. Why all the unnecessary complications?
Lu Liang smiled slightly, “Nothing fancy. Have you watched ‘Journey to the West’?”
"Of course.”
"Then do you know the story of Guanyin giving the monkey three life-saving hairs?”
"So?”
"The monkey only had three, but you have a few more. Each one can fulfill a small wish.”
Reba’s expression darkened, and suddenly her eyes turned red with anger as she lunged at Lu Liang, “You jerk, Mi was right, you’re full of tricks!”
…
The next morning, Lu Liang’s private plane took off from the Beijing airport, heading to Mohe Guli’an Airport at the northernmost part of the country.
As the plane reached the stratosphere, Lu Liang unbuckled his seatbelt and walked over to the bar and ordered two cups of warm milk tea.
He handed one cup to Reba, leaned back in his seat, took a sip, and made a gesture representing the number eight.
Reba suddenly smirked, “Mr. Lu, can I wish for anything?”
She wanted Lu Liang’s money, his stocks, and also for him to cut off all his girlfriends.
Reba giggled to herself, imagining a wonderful life, “Right, if I’ve got your money, why would I need you?”
"The final interpretation right stays with ,” Lu Liang replied unhurriedly, blowing on his hot tea before taking another sip.
"That’s not fair~” Reba pouted, complaining because they also had several verbal additional agreents.
Usually, breaking them counted, but adding more could only maintain the original number, and if the last eight were used up, there could be no more afterward.
"If you don’t want to play, we can turn around and go back to Beijing now,” Lu Liang said cheerfully, his face confident.
People shouldn’t only focus on work. It was fortunate that he had nothing much to do for a few days in Beijing, which was a good opportunity to spice up his life a little.
"Play, why not play?”
Reba stiffly held her neck, huffed coldly, although Lu Liang held the final interpretation right, she still had eight wishes.
The first wish alone had made Lu Liang leave Beijing, taking her 1500 kiloters to the northernmost part of the country. It showed that the wishes were indeed effective.
Two days passed in a flash,
The plane took off from Mohe Airport, heading back to Beijing.
These two days, Reba had enjoyed herself imnsely and experienced so of the happiest monts of her life, perhaps only comparable to her vague childhood mories.
They bathed in an outdoor hot spring on a snowy night, skied on the outskirts of Xing’an Ridge, barbecued in a log cabin, and were incredibly lucky to witness the Mohe aurora.
But with eight wishes, more than half were already used up, leaving only the last three. She couldn’t help asking, “Mr. Lu, what if I use them all?”
"Then, not a single one will be left.”
Though Lu Liang was laughing and teasing, Reba could tell by looking in his eyes that it would signify the end of the ga, and potentially the end of their relationship.
"I still have three little wishes left. Once I think of them, I’ll tell you. Mr. Lu, a promise from a great man is hard to retract, right~”
As they prepared to leave the cabin, Reba dressed cautiously, fearing Lu Liang might forget and renege at the last minute, she emphasized it several tis before leaving.
"Don’t worry, the final interpretation right stays with .”
Lu Liang smiled and let Reba leave first. He decided to leave later to avoid being seen by others.
Once Reba was gone, he too took out his phone and replied to Yang Mi’s ssage from two days ago: “She was indeed with , and we’ve now returned.”
"You’re such a jerk. I was almost about to call the police. Where did you guys run off to?” Yang Mi instantaneously replied.
"We just took a detour to Mohe for a few days.”
"Had enough fun?”
"I’ve had enough, but she seems a little unsatisfied.”
"What do you an?” Yang Mi was puzzled.
"Just as it says.”
Lu Liang’s lips gradually curled up, having had his fill of excitent in just a few days; however, Reba seed to have just gotten into the swing of things.
