After Divorce, Hidden Marriage Husband Became Addicted to Me Chapter 475: 327: 2
Chapter 475: Chapter 327: _2
“Let’s walk forward together.” In passing, Fu Yunye gripped Tang Xi’s wrist.
Tang Xi’s skin was cool, but Fu Yunye’s fingers were even colder. The mont he seized her wrist, her entire body shuddered.
Fu Yunye let go of her hand.
“Grandpa is playing chess with Tingzhou, let’s not disturb them for now.” His voice was as cold as his body temperature, lifting a hand he rotated the wheelchair, “Help push a bit, the road ahead is uneven.”
Tang Xi pushed the wheelchair, slowly moving forward.
She had only been to the Fu Mansion once or twice, and now more than four years had passed, she barely had any recollection of it.
In Tang Xi’s mory, the Fu Mansion was vast.
Each young master had their own three-story detached villa.
Fu Zongheng lived in the main building.
It was the cream-colored Western-style building that one would see first after entering the gate.
And behind that were the hos of the other young masters.
On the right side of the garden was a cream-colored Western-style building, that was Fu Jingrong’s. Before Fu Jingrong was married off, she always lived there, and now she still occasionally cos back to stay a couple of days.
These houses, are regularly cleaned by assigned maids.
Moving further back, Tang Xi marveled at the grandeur of the Fu Mansion; it was a place where one could easily get lost alone, and her step count on WeChat must have reached over ten thousand by now. After passing a white jade arch bridge, and then walking through a row on Wutong Road, they arrived in front of a cream-yellow villa.
It was a two-story building, with an attic and a terrace on the third floor.
In the courtyard, roses and peonies were planted, whether neglected or intentional, they were intertwined, vines weaving amongst the green.
The air was fragrant with flowers, but the scent was so intense that it carried a faint trace of bitterness.
Fu Yunye asked Tang Xi to push him inside, and after they entered, Tang Xi heard Fu Yunye say, “Go inside and take a look. This was where I used to live.”
“So this is where you lived.”
The inside was very clean, with a light cream-colored carpet.
But there wasn’t a speck of dust to be seen. Tang Xi thought about finding shoe covers to wear outside, but Fu Yunye waved it off, saying there was no need, “This is my place. Ever since I was young, I’ve liked it quiet. I said I liked this villa in the back garden, so it was given to . I usually live here alone. When I was a child, there was a maid who accompanied here. That maid had a daughter, a mute girl, a bit younger than , who lived here with .”
Subconsciously, Tang Xi asked, “Don’t you live with your parents?”
After asking, she seed to feel it was sowhat inappropriate, but listened to Fu Yunye slowly say, “My mother has not been in good health for a long ti, and later on, there were so problems in her relationship with my father. Marriages of alliance can start off with mutual respect, but after a few years, Fu Zongheng was often away, and gradually my mother understood that Fu Zongheng had soone he liked outside, soone from his first love.”
That first love was Qin Jianlan.
Tang Xi pushed him into the living room. She was no fool and knew that this topic was too sensitive.
Despite being cleaned every day, the house, unlived in, had a faint musty sll that hit them in the face.
Tang Xi held her breath for a mont, observing the decor here, which indeed seed to be from over a decade ago, yet tilessly stylish. There was a painting on the wall, which she recognized at a glance as Fu Yunye’s own style.
Fu Yunye said, “Could I ask you to take to the study on the second floor? That’s where I used to relax.”
With his legs inconvenient, the man drew a walking stick from the wheelchair and leaned on it. Tang Xi nodded her head as she supported him, one hand passing over his back enclosing him, and with the other hand, she grasped his arm and half-carried him as they slowly walked up the stairs.
She walked very slowly, with cautious care, fearing he might fall.
And the man, his strength was divided between the cane and the woman’s delicate shoulders.
Fu Yunye found it sowhat strenuous; he pursed his lips, and at this mont, his gaze dimd, devoid of his usual indifference and his usual pride. He was no longer the esteed young master of the Fu Family; he was just a man who couldn’t stand, nothing but a waste.
The man’s arm tensed slightly.
He cast a glance at Tang Xi, who was seriously looking down at the path beneath their feet, occasionally reminding him of obstacles.
Her head bowed because supporting him was sowhat arduous; beads of sweat ford on her forehead. Locks of hair beside her temples were slightly disheveled, draping over her fair cheeks tinged with a touch of red.
Today she wore a pair of very delicate pearl earrings.
Against the contrast of her fair skin and black hair, they added discreet touches of charm.
And in a different way, they were appealing to the eye.
The two reached the upper floor.
Tang Xi let out a sigh, “I’ll go downstairs to fetch the wheelchair.”
Fu Yunye grasped her, “No need for the trouble.”
Tang Xi helped him to the study.
Pushing the door open and walking in, there was no dust, but still, there lingered a musty sll of disuse over its expansive area of more than a hundred square ters.
An entire wall, covered with paintings.
All of the sa person.
So without a face, rely a figure; so with facial features filled in.
And there was one painting, hanging right in the center, featuring a family of four.
Fu Zongheng with Mrs. Fu as well as Fu Yunye and the Fu Family’s second young master.
That second young master, his looks evidently carrying the Fu Family genes, was exceptionally handso.
And that woman in those paintings must be Fu Yunye’s mother.
Tang Xi helped Fu Yunye to sit on the sofa.
“I used to like it here a lot. It’s very quiet, no one cos to disturb . Only an auntie who took care of and her daughter lived on the first floor,” Fu Yunye said, his gaze fixed on the paintings on the wall, lingering especially on the one of the family of four, unwilling to look away for a long ti.
Tang Xi didn’t want to interrupt him, knowing he probably wanted so peace by himself for a while.
So she slowly retreated and went to the living room on the second floor.
She leaned against the window, looking outside, where this seed to be one of the more secluded villas of the Fu Mansion, allowing her to view the entire estate with all its layered buildings.
Tang Xi had never seen the Fu Mansion from this angle before. With a tinge of curiosity, that kind which peeks into the lives of the wealthiest families, she took out her phone and snapped a couple of pictures.
They say that the pine tree at the gate of the wealthy is worth more than what an ordinary person could earn in a lifeti.
