Huo Ji'an was montarily taken aback, instinctively shrinking his neck as he turned to see Qin Lie standing there, his gaze icy.
Huo Ji'an jumped in shock, realizing that he had been overheard talking bad about soone, leaving him feeling a bit embarrassed. Straightening his back, he looked at Zhouzhou, who was crying so hard that she could barely breathe. He reassured himself; he hadn't said anything wrong. It was only natural for Zhouzhou to feel heartbroken and want nothing to do with soone who made her so upset.
"Oh, finally co out?" Ye Lingfeng chid in sarcastically from the side.
Qin Lie shot him a glance, his brow furrowing. "Is this really how you force to co out?"
In the past, whenever Zhouzhou cried, he would rush over to comfort her, but today, he was just standing there, which felt abnormal. He knew Ye Lingfeng was intentionally waiting for him to show up.
Ye Lingfeng laughed at that. His tone turned a bit colder. "Force you? If it weren't for her to be, I would've taken her away already."
"My daughter doesn't need soone like you to cling to her as her father."
He didn't need to worry; even without him, Zhouzhou would have plenty of people lining up to adopt her.
At that mont, he raised an eyebrow, and just as he expected, soone who wanted to adopt Zhouzhou arrived.
As a car ca to a stop, Grandma Qin quickly stepped out, holding a bright red household registration book. Grandpa Qin followed behind, casting a aningful glance at Qin Lie.
Without even acknowledging him, Grandma Qin pushed past Qin Lie and hurried to Zhouzhou, who was still crying. She crouched down beside her, her heart breaking at the sight.
"Co on, stop crying! We don't want that ungrateful father. Grandma will take you to change your registration right now. From now on, I'll be your mom!"
She then turned and shouted, "Qin, hurry up and co here so Zhouzhou can recognize you!"
Hearing this, Grandpa Qin felt a twitch in his eyelid. He glanced at his silent youngest son before walking over to Zhouzhou.
Grandma Qin smiled broadly. "Zhouzhou, look! This is your new daddy!"
Zhouzhou cracked open her eyes, barely peeking at her grandma pointing at her grandpa, urging her to call him "Dad." With trembling lips, little chubby girl rolled onto the ground and cried even louder.
How absurd her life is; her grandpa had turned into her dad! She didn't want that!
Grandma Qin exclaid, "Are you not happy with it?"
After a mont's thought, she glanced at her husband, her eyes filled with disdain. "Get out of the way! You're useless."
Grandpa Qin sighed. His wife was getting more unreasonable by the day, insisting that their granddaughter call him "Dad." When she refused, she blad him.
He turned his gaze to the statue-like younger son and scoffed quietly. Keep pretending; we'll see how long you can keep it up.
Grandma Qin stroked her chin, saying, "If Zhouzhou thinks your grandpa is too old to be your dad, she can pick from any of her uncles at ho. Whoever she likes can be her dad. Or if she sees soone outside she likes, we can bring the whole family fortune to him and be his parents. You can still call us Grandma and Grandpa!"
"No way." While crying, Zhouzhou stretched out her little chubby hand, pointing at Qin Lie's direction, looking at Grandma Qin with pitiful eyes.
She only wanted her own dad, not soone else's!
Seeing her like this, Grandma Qin gritted her teeth in frustration. "Why are you so stubborn, you silly girl? Don't you rember all the lodramas we saw together?"
"You shouldn't keep soone who makes you cry. You need to find soone who makes you smile."
Zhouzhou sobbed, her gaze still fixed on Qin Lie. Her dad used to make her laugh, but she had upset him, causing him to act this way.
Seeing him standing there motionless, Zhouzhou rolled over and crawled to him. She sat on his feet, wrapping her arms and legs tightly around his legs, looking up at him with tears streaming down her face.
She didn't make a sound, just silently looked at him, occasionally hiccuping, her little body trembling.
This sight was even more heartbreaking than before.
Grandpa Qin and Grandma Qin mimicked Ye Lingfeng, crossing their arms and watching him with stone-faced expressions.
Let's see if he dares to deny Zhouzhou today!
Qin Lie had to admit, he couldn't resist.
Seeing Zhouzhou on the verge of crying herself unconscious, he gritted his teeth and finally bent down to scoop her up.
Zhouzhou instantly relaxed her arms and legs. As soon as he held her, she tightened her grip around him.
Choking on her words, she said, "Daddy, please don't abandon . I really know I was wrong, and I'll never dare to again."
"I won't go there anymore; I quit! I'll never go back!"
As she spoke, her sobs grew louder.
Hearing this, Ye Lingfeng frowned, a bitter taste rising in his throat.

This little chubby girl, now that she had Qin Lie, was ready to abandon him.

Fuming, Ye Lingfeng's nose crinkled in irritation.
Seeing this scene, Qin Lie couldn't help but smile for the first ti, gently stroking Zhouzhou's little head. He didn't say anything, just carried her towards the car.
Ye Lingfeng followed closely behind, his expression dark.
He pulled out his phone and made a call, his tone unfriendly. "Where's my reward? If it doesn't co soon, Zhouzhou might actually quit!"
Upon hearing this, Zhao Xinghua panicked. "Why does she suddenly want to quit?"
What else could it be for?
It was undoubtedly for her good father!
Ye Lingfeng gritted his teeth, angrily hanging up the phone.
Unexpectedly, at that mont, Zhouzhou decided to twist the knife in his heart again.
She held onto Qin Lie tightly, refusing to let go, not even when he started driving.
She waved at him, saying, "Sharp Tongue Daddy, can you co drive for us?"
"No way!" Ye Lingfeng nearly jumped up in frustration.
He glared at Zhouzhou, insisting, "I'm mad!"
He didn't like her attitude of abandoning him now that she had Qin Lie and expressed his strong discontent!
Hearing this, Zhouzhou blinked her eyes and reached out her hand toward him.
Ye Lingfeng, feeling unamused, stepped forward.
Zhouzhou freed one hand to wrap around his neck, pressing her little head in between them as she said in a hoarse voice, "You're all my dads; I can't lose any of you."
"Then why did you say you wanted to quit? You hurt my feelings!" Ye Lingfeng said unhappily.
Zhouzhou thought for a mont, then glanced at Qin Lie, her expression conflicted.
Joining ant she would inevitably partake in dangerous missions, which could hurt her dad's feelings.
Quitting would lead Sharp Tongue Daddy to think she didn't want him anymore, which would hurt his feelings too.
She was in a dilemma.
With a dejected face, she slumped her chubby little cheeks onto their shoulders, looking utterly defeated.
Both Qin Lie and Ye Lingfeng stood silently, waiting for her to say sothing, their expressions a mixture of patience and mild exasperation.
At that mont, two girls happened to walk by. Their eyes sparkled with peculiar excitent as they took in the scene.
Qin Lie and Ye Lingfeng glanced down, only to realize that, in their effort to support Zhouzhou's plump little chin, their shoulders had ended up pressed tightly together.
They exchanged a glance, and with identical expressions of disgust, both took a deliberate step to the side, creating a noticeable gap between them as if to declare their complete lack of association.
Unexpectedly, this only fueled the two girls' excitent.
Oh ho! Looks like the couple is having a quarrel!
