Lan Tian and Lan He leaned in to take a look, their eyes filled with astonishnt at Zhouzhou's actions. Zhouzhou spat out a piece of paper. Grandma Qin, worried, took her to the bathroom to rinse her mouth. Once she was sure there was nothing left, she held Zhouzhou's hand and walked back out.
Zhouzhou said, "This dicine is fine! It's just right for Grandpa!" Hearing this, the pharmaceutical representative let out a long sigh of relief, tears nearly spilling from his eyes. Finally, soone was willing to believe him.
Lan Tian and Lan He had never doubted him but were simply adhering to their principle of relying on evidence. Until the rules were clarified, they wouldn't draw conclusions. While they said they didn't suspect him, they also hadn't fully believed him.
"Then what did you an by saying he took the wrong dicine earlier?" Lan He asked.
Zhouzhou replied, "I an what I said! Grandpa literally took the wrong dication, and the drugs interacted badly, so he passed out!"
At her words, Lan He furrowed his brow tightly. He glanced at Grandpa Qin and Grandma Qin, as if he had sothing to say.
Seeing this, Grandpa Qin said directly, "If it concerns your father, just say it."
"Alright." Lan He nodded, no longer holding back. He spoke directly, "This is an air force hospital, and every doctor here is a military physician. Their dical skills are completely sound, and mistakes in prescriptions shouldn't happen. So..."
He hesitated, glancing at Zhouzhou. He acknowledged that she was impressive, but the doctors here were equally capable. There was no need to compare; such a basic error was impossible.
Zhouzhou wasn't upset by the skepticism; she scratched her head and said, "But the pulse I felt was just like this."
She couldn't elaborate further. All she knew was that she hadn't misread the pulse.
Lan Tian thought for a mont and turned to ask Lan He, "Brother, do you still have the prescription for what Dad took?"
"Yes," Lan He nodded. After thinking for a mont, he said, "We still have the dicine. It's not all used up."
That made it more convenient. Grandma Qin instructed him to bring out all the dications for Zhouzhou to inspect. Zhouzhou looked them over, tasted a little, and shook her head, "None of these are the problem; the issue isn't with these dications."
But those were the only dications Old Mr. Lan had taken. If she said it wasn't, it contradicted what she had said earlier.
Grandma Qin asked, "Have you given Old Lan any other dicine?"
"No," Lan He shook his head, a bit confused.
At that mont, a doctor walked in, holding a report, and imdiately asked, "Did you give the old man any other dications?"
Why was he asking that too?
The doctor continued, "Look at the report; it shows a component of Aconitum in his system."
"Aconitum is toxic. The dicine I prescribed contains Pinellia, and taking these two together can cause serious problems."
"Right now, the old man is only unconscious, and that's actually the best-case scenario. If it gets worse, he could even suffer respiratory failure."
Hearing this, both n inhaled sharply. But they truly hadn't given their father any random dication.
Zhouzhou was deep in thought when suddenly, a gust of wind blew by, making her nose twitch. She abruptly turned her head in one direction, her gaze landing on a thermos on the table.
Climbing onto a chair, she opened the lid, and the scent of the dicine imdiately wafted out, capturing everyone's attention.
"Where did this dicine co from?" The doctor hurried over, sniffed, and his expression changed instantly, "There's Aconitum in here!"
So he really had taken the wrong dication!
In an instant, their expressions darkened.
"Whose dicine is this?" Lan Tian's normally cheerful face turned stern, his aura becoming terrifying.
Lan He shook his head.
He had no idea how this traditional dicine ended up here; it puzzled him too. At this mont, a childish voice piped up, "It was that bad guy who changes her face really fast!"
Everyone turned to look at her.
Qin Lie's eyes flickered, "Is it that woman from earlier?"
Zhouzhou nodded vigorously, "Yes, yes! I slled the dicine on her just now."
At that mont, she hadn't thought much of it, considering they were in a hospital where a bit of dicinal scent was normal. But the sll matching this dicine was definitely suspicious.
So it was her!
Lan Tian's eyes darkened, and even Lan He, usually praised as a composed businessman, now wore a serious expression.
Their father had kindly taken her in, not knowing she was an ungrateful snake!
Seeing their reactions, Zhouzhou's eyes sparkled as she raised her chubby little hand, "I'll catch her! I'm great at catching bad guys!"
Without waiting for their response, she dashed out, holding Compass, her speed astonishing as she raced off.
In just a few minutes, she returned, dragging Auntie Lan, who had been resting in the garden.
At her small size, she couldn't carry Auntie Lan, so she grabbed her foot and dragged her back like a rag doll.
When they hit an uneven patch of ground, Auntie Lan's head banged against it, making her scream in pain.
Zhouzhou didn't care.
Why show rcy to bad guys?
As the hospital room ca into view, the little chubby girl grew more excited and ran faster. She turned a corner, and Auntie Lan's head crashed right into the wall.
Blood gushed from her nose, and she was too stunned to even scream.
"Daddy, I caught the bad guy!" Upon reaching the hospital room, Zhouzhou released Auntie Lan and imdiately rushed over to Qin Lie, eager to take credit.
Qin Lie ruffled her hair and, noticing she had more to say, spoke first, "The signal here is blocked. Once we handle this situation, I'll let you sell her to your second uncle."
Daddy understood her!
That was exactly what she wanted to ask!
With his words, Zhouzhou felt relieved and opened her arms, wanting a hug. Qin Lie, indulgent, bent down to lift her up. Zhouzhou nestled against him, her short legs swinging lazily as she pulled out so seeds from her bag to munch on.
As she ate, she made sure to share with Qin Lie, Grandpa Qin, and Grandma Qin, which kept her busy.
Having done all she could, she now sat back to enjoy the show.
Seeing her like this, the Lan brothers couldn't help but chuckle. However, when their eyes fell on Auntie Lan, their expressions instantly darkened again.
"Now tell us, why did you want to harm my dad?" Lan Tian asked coldly.
Hearing this, Auntie Lan ca back to her senses from her daze.
A jolt of panic hit her; how did they know?
After a brief mont of confusion, she shouted, "What nonsense! Don't fra ! Just because my brother is unconscious doesn't an you can slander !"
With that, she threw herself at Old Mr. Lan's bedside, crying out, "Brother, wake up! You have to help ! Look at how your grandson is bullying ! My life is so hard!"
Upon hearing this, Zhouzhou, who was still struggling with her sunflower seeds, looked over, visibly annoyed.
That was her line!
Seeing her cry so dramatically, Zhouzhou asked earnestly, "Do you really want Grandpa to wake up?"
